  1. Thank you. I wonder what other Americans with such dreams of living and marring a Thai country girl that their family lives off the land with very little money. Will a warm and gentle smile tell you the truth of such of true-love connection in their future
  2. My question is the above but continues as... in her country. My thoughts on this are that a woman of virtue will most likely fall in love with such a man from a foreign country. Have you found this true in your relationship with your Thai wife?
  3. love is negotiated I guess
  4. I'll keep my reply simple and to a few words and I hope you reply. Her parents have NO faith in her and treat her like a child. She actually is the financial backing of her family with a position of the Thai govt. Thai could only dream of having. Like to hear your thoughts on this one, and yes, she always wears a warm smile when we are together and have to chat otherwise.
  5. When wrote this, I had NO meanings of wanting to hear negatives. I just wanted the positive side of living abroad with a relationship that worked out. Thank you for your comment.
  6. I love your true story because I connect with it. The lady in my life there hasn't even gone to "Super Rich" to exchange the currency. That for me is a true sign of loyalty. I'm very happy for your life's journey that rewards you and cherishes with a loving family. You've been blessed.
  7. Word salad is a bar term for "take me, I'm free to be your soul mate", but actually in that word salad it is being hidden, " I already have a thai husband " lol
  8. Beautifully said. Best wishes for the both of you.
  9. If true, then she has lived with you in the States continuelessly (sp) for 5 years. I know that is a fact with SS. I thought about this with a Thai lady and she had no idea about the SS regulation.
  10. That is as clear of the 7 colors of the rainbow of a happy and cherished marriage. I'm very happy to hear your journey in life is not a destination, but a continuation of the joy of love you have for your lovely wife.
  11. simplicity in words of feelings has no boundaries of a persons emotions. but thanks for the correction of ones illiterate of being genuinely uneducated.
  12. That means a lot to me. I thank you with all honesty. A true heart in life speaks through the eyes that sparkle with joy in lovely conversations of each others dreams in life. You've been truly blessed.
  13. I 'll answer my own question here. I was 20 I think when I first came to Thailand and in my mind Thailand was a land of mystical magic in the air. I'm actually living in another Asia country and maintain an apartment in Bangkok. I'm retired kind of but do work PT to keep mentally and physically moving, yet in Thailand I need to get some kind of adventure going. I'm an outdoor person that actually does do camping and cycling almost full time. Any suggestions on how I could bring that adventure for me to Thailand and show people what it is to enjoy life to its fullest. I do have a blog on a cycling forum that is beginning its 7th years. Any suggestion much appreciated. Yes, I want to make Thailand my home if I can get the health insurance at my age.
  14. Also, freedom comes with a heart that speaks the truth of ones adventures in life. My apartment in Bangkok has a small table, a hot water cooker, a lamp and a sleeping bag. No air conditioning which I don't like anyway. Next door is a 7-11 that provides the freedom of seeing the daily life a Thai people with their beautiful and happy smiles. Is life grand... follow a healthy path in life an I feel so. Now, if she would quit telling me to go to the ATM machine. LOL
  15. I really ponder upon this matter due to a Thai lady has entered my life on a very poverty level, yet a level of understanding that ones belief in themself is and can be the virtue of a bank account that is small and has no bearing of a genuine relationship. Your thoughts.
  16. seems to be very expensive these days to leave ones home town
  17. are you referring to the scams of the flying fishes lol
  18. The chains of the sky is the love chirping of the birds of joy and happiness in their flying in the beautiful skies of Thailand.
  19. Thanks, that's a good understanding of the path of journey of with not a destination. Kind of like the wind is our roadmap in life.
  20. Life really is more joyful when you have less in the 4 walls that surround you in life and can walk out into nature and choose the pickings of the next meal to fulfill the life of simplicity.
  21. Can you explain your reasoning more in English to be clearly understood. Thank you.
  22. Express yourself now folks with positive thought. Please no negative BS. We ( at least I ) have lived in Asia since the Vietnam War and been in Thailand, Philippines, Okinawa and Japan. I only noticed one thing, people do NOT change. It is nice to see people post their journeys of living in Thailand or other Asian countries, but one thing is missing I feel and that is living here in a spiritual world of simplicity. Really, we don't need much when we are up there in our late chapter in life, just the freedom of feeling free after all them hard years of work. What is your thoughts.
