  1. I don’t know this politician but why isn’t he Prime Minister, he’s the most straight talking politician I’ve seen give a speech here !
  2. Very strange story, even in Thailand brain surgery would be way more than £31,000 !
  3. Every time she opens her mouth she digs a deeper hole, she didn’t know about the drugs but said she was coerced, well if she didn’t know about the drugs why would she think she had been coerced ? Then she said she tried to alert customs, but went to an automated gate without a customs officer on it, and why would she try to alert them if nothing was wrong ? Then she didn’t know what country she was in , it just gets worse !
  4. Being in the Thai Government must be like walking on egg shells, terrified of naming or criticising anybody and getting cancelled instantly, these people wouldn’t last 2 minutes in the American or UK Government where everybody is named and shamed on a daily basis , has anybody ever watched Prime Ministers question time in London ? It’s not for the faint hearted !
  5. I can’t see what Hen Sen is hoping to gain from this, except who will ever trust him again with a private and confidential conversation !
  6. We don’t need market research to tell us there’s far too many cafes ,restaurants, coffee shops and street food vendors, and despite almost empty businesses on every street there’s new ones opening daily !
  7. You really think they are going to put the Prime Ministers Father in prison ?
  8. How can they blame the Doctors ? when one of the richest and most influential people in the country tell you what you need you do or else……..what can you say ? They would have lost their jobs immediately , there’s only one person to blame in this corrupt side show and we all know who that is !
  9. If that’s his latest picture he doesn’t look like he’ll be here much longer, if he wasn’t sick before he looks it now !
  10. Thailand continually makes itself look stupid on the world stage, you cant charge a former PM with a mistake that cost millions, if that was the case every ex PM and President around the world would be in prison, they all have to make decisions for the better of the country, some work , some don’t, there’s no proof she personally profited from the rice scheme and we all know she wasn’t qualified to run the country in the first place, just like the current PM isn’t qualified to do so. How can any leader make any major decisions if they know they are going to be locked up if things don’t work out ?
  11. We’ve heard it all before, it’s just the Thai Elite Visa by a different name, it will cost 10 million Baht and nobody will take it up !
  12. He’ll have left on his private plane already, he won’t be sticking around to face the music.
  13. Sending the Prime Ministers father to prison ???? I don’t think so, it’s not going to happen !
  14. She’s 18, she’s in the Philippines one minute posing in bikinis, she’s in Thailand the next minute posing again with piles of cash on the table and nobody wondered how she could afford it all ?
  15. Why do they keep wasting money on cases that we all know the result of before they start ?
  16. Most people plan their trips months in advance, it’s 2 days since the tariffs were announced, were they really expecting millions to suddenly book a holiday here !
  17. I think a big problem is they get no training at all, one day working in a paddy field the next day a restaurant manager, and it’s not just restaurants it’s the same in big stores like HomePro, you ask the simplest question about where a certain product is or if something is in stock and it’s , no have, finish, without even looking, it does drive you crazy but that’s life in Thailand for you !
  18. I recently returned from my first visit to China, I visited Shanghai and I have to say it’s the most amazing, beautiful, futuristic, safe, clean place I’ve ever seen in the world, forget all the scary stories you’ve read coming from people who’ve never been, it’s fabulous. Spending money can be a problem, I set up We Chat and Alipay on my phone before I arrived but neither worked when I arrived there, if you have a Thai credit card or debit card go to your local Bank here and check they will work in China and get them authorised, thank goodness I did that and my card worked everywhere. I also took US dollars and changed some money at the airport on arrival, I got the proper rate and that worked well, what I should have done is change more dollars as once in the city it’s very difficult to change money, the banks won’t change your dollars unless you have a Chinese bank account and I was only able to find one money exchange and I never managed to find it again, don’t believe what people say about most places won’t take cash, I found everywhere would take cash, I wasn’t refused once, so you defiantly need to take a mixture of cash and authorised debit/ credit cards to cover expenses just incase your payment apps don’t work.
