Real beaches are at the ocean. I don't rate lake and river beaches.

I've driven 4 times across the area. Went everywhere. This is over many visits not 2 weeks. Isaan is fine for 2 to 4 weeks.

I know a lot. You know 1 beach at the river. You can't even name 1 good restaurant

I've been to every city. You have not. There are several so called beaches along the Mekong. Pretty lame though.

Food can be cheap anywhere in Thailand. Beer isnt cheap in Thailand. Cheaper in Dan Murphys.

Cuts out a lot of places.

Korat is very sleepy. Udon is the best city, Nong Khai no 2. Still CM is much better. Udon has decent farang food.
