  1. Other than using a reputable broker, what other strategies can individuals use to minimize the risk of claim denials and ensure their insurance will pay out when needed? I'm worried my current and future insurance providers might not come through in a critical situation.
  2. @JBChiangRai all insurance companies on trustpilot even the "good one" like cigna, April, axa, luma, allianz have bad reviews. The common complaints are slow claim process, bad customer service, refusal to pay claim, etc. I am scared that my current one will weasel out of paying.
  3. @Hummin sadly no. I am Canadian nonresident so I do not get access to health care. Thanks man. I will contact them, pacific prime, and tenzing pacific to see what each say.
  4. I'm in my early 30s and looking to purchase private health insurance. What are some key factors to consider when choosing a plan, and what would be a reasonable annual limit and coverage?
  5. @Etaoin Shrdlu who are good brokers you recommend? But are brokers commission driven too? They might give us plans that will give them commission.
  6. I agree man. You cannot trust these people. What do you look for when shopping for health insurance?
  7. I bought my first private insurance for the first time in May last year . The agent only presented me with one “basic” plan, which was the most expensive option available. Upon checking the provider’s website yesterday, I discovered significantly cheaper plans. This experience reinforces my belief that prioritizing commission over customer needs is unethical. Is it morally right for insurance agents and brokers to exclusively promote the most expensive plans, withholding information about more affordable options? I do not trust them. How can I protect myself from potentially unethical agents in the future?
