  1. I am sure she will be thrilled when she reads your comments
  2. I really wish they would just shut up talking about this ridiculous subject. just forget it and get on with life for goodness sake. dont they think we have suffered enough from all this ridiculous bs?
  3. I have to agree, you do have a point
  4. that is not the Hua Hin that I live in and i have been here for years. the locals will try it on at times, especially in the fruit market, but just buy stuff with the price on it.
  5. just more bad publicity for Thailand. Probably gang related, but it seems every day that some sort of violent event takes place in Pattaya. The pits of a place in my opinion (Darkside exception). no wonder tourism is down.
  6. internet is fantastic in Vietnam, certainly in Da Nang. Free wifi in every shop, cafe, even on the beach. Have you ever driven Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, is that a great road? roads are comparable in both countries. i go to Vietnam half the year, never experienced a power cut.
  7. absolute rubbish. firstly, is there such a thing? secondly, I had a so called very good agent every time.......all promising regular inspections.........and they do jack <deleted>
  8. six months advance rent payment........of course the landlord would keep it.......its not a deposit is it......its rent.
  9. i do 6 months in Thailand and Vietnam Thailand miles ahead in quality accomodation, but i think more expensive. Mold is very common in Vietnam accom, its very difficult to find a room without it. Road traffic is dangerous in Thailand, but a fraction of the level of danger in Vietnam, and the constant horn blowing can drive you crazy. Food is fifty fifty........with Thailand slightly better if i was to make a choice. Hygiene in Vietman, not great.........spitting in the streets is very common and disgusting. Yes the thais do it, but not like Vietnam. Da Nang is not cheap, but i would not say expensive. Beaches are fifty fifty. Visa in Vietnam, extremely easy, very cheap, be it the 45 day stamp, or the 90 day e visa. Thailand visa, not hard, but more of a pain in the arse, and no 90 day reports in Vietnam both have a lot going for them...........medical care, a lot cheaper in Vietnam, and i found it to be of extremely high quality, both from the staff and the medical facility. I am buying my meds I need from Vietnam now, half the price of Thailand (anti coagulants, beta blocker). all in all, Thailand still gets my vote for quality of life, but time will tell
  10. the state of that property is nothing compared to how tenants left my property in the UK. Its not just Thailand that has trouble with tenants, its everywhere.........which is why i sold up all my property and use it for living here. So much easier, and zero stress. If i rented out my house here, I would charge a very high rent, and want 3 month deposit and six months up front, with an inspection after 6 months........if tenants dont agree.........then they dont move in...simple
  11. i met Chad at a car meet a few years back, really is a nice bloke. Very sociable, not up his own arse.
  12. Paddy Doyle, Mat Armstrong, Chris Slix, Saving Salvage, Paul Thorpe, Gabby Cabby, Fast Jet Performance, Dan Wootton, True Sports for Premiership highlights, Bein Sports for Euro highlights, thats enough for now
  13. yeh, stabbing it was harsh. A swift kick in its balls would have sufficed.
