  1. Just pay a dirty cop to throw the guard in jail. Thai people with money don't take chit from poor people, which is why you never see or hear about a security guard raising a hand against a Thai with even a middle class income. The foreigners need to open their wallets and let the WS scum know that tourists will use their money to similar effect.
  2. The poor family. Their last image of their son will be of him wearing elephant pants.
  3. Enough to cover the cost of another chitty tattoo? Not every shirtless tattooed monkey is a criminal, but a majority of criminals are shirtless, tattooed chitbags.
  4. The video is from Brazil. Trust me, you don't want Thailand to turn into Brazil.
  5. Yes, some of the simpletons on this board can't grasp the concept of a DTA. The agreement with Canada is crystal clear: no tax on my pension income because it has been taxed in Canada already.
  6. Man, talk about a desperate cry for attention. Are you interned or a shut in?
  7. I have a passport holder and they still staple the 90 day reports to the back page. Now the back page has a hole in it from immigration stapling the living chit out of my passport. Wouldn't it be rich to be denied entry by the same people who inflicted the damage in the first place?
  8. Undoubtedly, but the boys wouldn't have responded with horror if she was one of the women. I suggest you actually have a look at the article sometime.
  9. This morning I told the waitress about the cash handouts for rich tourists. She gets 600 baht per day and wasn't impressed when I told her that the tourists are getting 2k per day.
  10. The death wobble. Happened to a friend who was passing a semi at 210 kmph on a big Kawasaki. My friend had relatively minor injuries but his bike was a write off.
  11. It's both safe, and effective! Throw in a Rodney King style arrest and this is the outcome.
  12. Thank you for stating that. It's contrary to other reports, but every district is different and I believe what you've stated. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay income tax in Thailand, so God bless those of you who willingly do.
  13. If the level of personal debt in Thailand is any indication the driver is probably upside down on a car loan and abruptly waking up to the fact that Bolt exploits unsophisticated Thais into subsidizing each ride. They usually don't figure it out until they have to shell out for new tires and expensive maintenance. Bolt and other apps are just another poverty trap for the drivers. Being the shining beacon of virtue I am, the driver is tipped well but I still pay less than with a predatory taxi driver.
  14. He was promised that steak 3,000 years ago.
  15. So you say, but how do you get a tax number? They only give them to people working in Thailand. So by what mechanism have you paid taxes on foreign remissions. Or are you another poster whose never been here? Don't reply unless you can explain the mechanisms.
  16. Just as I expected. Another troll trying to frighten the sheep. That campaign ended a year ago.
  17. My thoughts too. Like those National Geographic African pictures from the 60s and 70s. A pair of shower curtains de-eroticises the female body.
  18. Again, what are you smoking? By what mechanism is that tax collected? To get a Thai tax ID number one has to be employed here. You're welcome to hand over as much as you like. Please do inform us about how you do it and how much you've donated.
  19. What are you on about man? Lifepo4 is a hell of a drug. Solar makes perfect sense here and is dirt cheap compared to back home. I'd go full electric everything if I owned a plantation and had lackeys to do my bidding. It would be a modern, solar powered version of 'Roots'. Plenty of women who look like Mama Kizzy around Pattaya these days.
  20. I'm not so sure. He sure doesn't mind the heat from screwing over his own populace and replacing them with low IQ denizens of the heathen lands.
  21. Foreigners whose governments are not aligned with the Chinese Communist Party. As a Canadian I've no concern because Canada is closer to China than any other Western nation.
  22. Step back and look at the big picture. Thailand is a Chinese puppet and Beijing is backing Iran, albeit quietly. You and the rest of us have been put on notice.
  23. Poor Starmer. It's like he got the rent boy's boxers off and found a Virginia instead. He hasn't got a clue what to do.
  24. Sounds like an old Brit, they love that reductionist logic and live long, boring lives. A more practical solution is for the woman to carefully gather up said skirt and hold on to it until the end of the ride. Simple. Edit to add: I had to look up 'Isadora Duncan'. She's been dead for 99 years.
