  1. It just never ends does it. Apart from a few in BKK expats in Thailand are the weirdest breed of people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Not to mention massive cheap Charlie's.
  2. I've not been on here years and only rejoined to get some info for the change on the EPL coverage, but blow me this site is more tragic than ever. How <deleted> bored are you lot?? *blows brains out
  3. Are they table tennis tables?
  4. Haha cheers, you don't bite easily 🙂
  5. Yea chatting mundane <deleted> on here and counting your pennies like the cheap Charlie you are. You keep living that dream.
  6. I'm not one for watching full games if I already know the result, but for late games, as you say, it looks like there will be the option of watching first thing when it suits you without knowing the score. It don't matter a <deleted>, but the PL have always only handed out 3 year deals to broadcasters, so wonder why they have gone 6 here..
  7. Does it effect the prices of cheese and ham toasties from 7 eleven and a large bottle of Leo at your local mom & pop shop? if not, then no we shouldn't be worried. Next.
  8. Yes, it was looked at as one of them type of cheaper countries, like Bulgaria for example. They moved out of their local currency into the Euro in Jan 24 so no doubt that made a difference to pricing.
  9. I found Croatia the same as the other countries, around EUR 5 for a beer around 20 for a decent meal.
  10. Yep, not long been back from a 3 week trip to germany, austria, slovenia and croatia. was amazing, I literally felt like a different person and had more energy.
  11. Actually agree, I can just about handle 35 these days, but where I am it gets into the 40's at times which is evil.
  12. 100%, I wince when I hear farangs say how great the climate is, morons. Extreme heat is bloody awful.
  13. 100% agree with all of that my friend, why I'm still here for so long no doubt, but I don't want to stay forever, but who knows, like a lot things money plays a big part as that gives you options, or otherwise.
  14. Same, I don't usually want to come back, or just ambivalent, but don't get me wrong I'm not bashing Thailand, more expat life. been here a long time have a wife and 2 kids etc, but feel like there is a LOT lacking, and no suggestions like gym, massage, temples etc is going to change that.
  15. Couldn't agree more, you are stuck in most of the time here unless you got to a mall for example. As well as the climate the pavements (or sidewalks) are crap too. In the UK I could just go out and occupy myself for hours, being near good transport, which I am, obviously helps.
  16. I remember many years ago on a trip home I was at a friends house and while chatting his wife simply said to me don't you miss it? I knew exactly what she meant but I just cracked a 'miss what' and felt a bit stupid saying it. She probably thought I was a bit odd that I had moved to Thailand.
  17. I love Spain as well, great place, use to go every year as a kid, something special about the place, but I know people that lived there and left because they just got stale there. You still won't have much going on there though despite your walks, why so many there just sit in bars, bored to death.
  18. It's just boring here mate, you'll never convince me otherwise. No small talk down the shops, no humour, no real events on the calendar to look forward to, it's just dull dull dull. Enjoy it though. I do take your point about people back home, don't get me wrong, but things can still 'happen' here it's groundhog day.
  19. Tbh, I just think being outside of your own culture it dramatically lessens things to do and to do with. Just nothing goes on. It's not really Thailand, it would be the same in most counties, what do expats in Spain do? Not a lot would be my guess.
  20. Exactly, nothing to do. Enjoy your malls and temples.
  21. Because there are a lot of very bored farangs here, including me. take away the cheap booze and birds and what is left? NOTHING. many will deny this of course, but I won't be having any of it. Thailand is a place for holidays, not to live. Now I'm off out to feed a soi dog.
  22. Well I suppose that's a different subject, but yea. You say AIS deal is great, you also mean Monomax, same thing right? I know AIS customers get it cheaper.
  23. OK, so she's been banged more times than Stevie Wonder's big toe, or she's been rogered more times than a policeman's radio.
