  1. It was a mistake to propose this meeting in the first place, but now Obama has to follow through with it. He should have realized at the moment Romney was defeated that Romney would instantly become 100 percent irrelevant even to republicans, and that is exactly what has happened.

All of Obama's policies have been a mistake.

Is there a Fox News talking head registered on TV?

Typical liberal.. Shoot the messenger when you have no argument or facts.

Ahem... Let me help you a bit... Anyone saying All of Obama's policies have been a mistake does sound like someone from Fox News. That is not a liberal statement, that is more of an opinion as Fox did its best to work itself into a corner by calling Obama every name in the book so that whenever something went right they (Fox) seem to fight tooth and nail against it. If you are not aware of that then good luck to you.

Secondly, why say "typical liberal" when I am sure that most thinking people have a mix of views which contain all sides of the political spectrum. I am also sure that there are others who are simple sad sheep who can only follow what their party says.

  3. Oh come on you guys, this dual fee goes on in many countries ... (Canada and USA for sure) .... you'll pay a lot more than 200 baht too... sad.pngcoffee1.gif

I really wish that when people bring up dual pricing in The States that they take the time to explain how it works. Dual pricing in The States is typically based on area of residence. Example - You live in San Francisco so you pay the local/discount price to enter the SF zoo. How do you prove that you live there... Show your driver's license and you are good to go. Same for Florida, Hawaii and Nevada. I mention these states as they have a pricing scheme which charges more for non-residents. In Thailand the price you pay is dependent on the mood of clerk at the window.

  4. I want to thank all of you for your advice. Last night I spoke with her and she informed me that she needed the money to plan the wedding. I told hee I would like to speak with her parents and brother in law who spoke fairly good english she turn looked at me and said he has a business and no time to talk to me. I have few regrets in life but this is gonna hurt a little. I gotta run baby run. Sorry to the baby. Thanks again

...she turn looked at me and said he has a business and no time to talk to me = Shut up and pass me my money.

  5. On my 2nd or 3rd trip to Bangkok the same thing happened to me. I opened the door on the left side and hit a motorcycle taxi carrying a passenger. I think I passed the motorcycle driver 500 baht and took the passenger to the hospital for x-rays for which I paid. After the hospital we (I was with a friend) dropped the guy off at his office and we went on our way.

Now I know that driving habits are pretty horrendous and you really need to look around everywhere when in traffic.

  6. Think of it like this...

It is not great to be poor and married, but you can work towards a brighter future...

It is crazy to go into debt to get married as you (not her) are starting in the hole with people who will break your face at the drop of a hat.

Get a DNA test before signing any birth certificate... If you have ever seen those Maury - You are not the father videos on youtube, then you would not think twice about it.

  7. Never heard the term HIIT before. I have all ways called it interval workouts with a short recovery.

In my previous life, I was somewhat serious about running and this was a workout I would do for about a month before the more serious training started.

3 sets of 3 x 300m in 60 seconds or less with a 2 minute recovery. 4 minute break between each set. This was done 3 or 4 times per week for about a month. Great workout. Note: I never did this training session in the heat - Always in the winter and after a month or so of running about 5k, 3 or 4 times a week.

For me the workout did what I thought it would, it increased my endurance and got me ready for more strenuous workouts.
