  1. Thanks kekalot for your details reply. I also created a support ticket on Steam, and the reply said it should be clear on the product page as you have shown.

I just bought Toybox Turbos from the Thai Steam Website for 315Bt, £11.99 on the UK site. I didn't have any funds in my Thai Paypal account and I received an SMS immediately telling me the money has been debited from my Kasikorn Shopping card.

  2. I once bought a copy of Portal 2 in India, a retail DVD box which came with a Steam key. I installed it on my Steam account but it will only play when I am in India as described on the box. I haven't successfully tried using a VPN yet.

I have now created a Thai Paypal account so I can buy games at THB prices on the Thai Steam website but I'm wondering if they will only play in Thailand.

Anybody else bought games here and played them elsewhere?

  3. I just created a Thai Paypal account in order to be able to buy games on on the Thai Steam website. As soon as I had entered my Kasikorn shopping card number I received an SMS from KBank showing a withdrawal of 33.63.

At first I thought this might be for the verification process but after I finished the process and looked at my profile which was showing as un-verified I clicked on that relevant link and I was asked to verify my card in the normal way. 70bt was charged to my shopping card which I saw the next day. I entered the code from the statement entry and my Paypal account was now verified and immediately a refund for the 70 Bt appeared in my Paypal activity statement.

No sign of the 33.63 Baht on the shopping card statement but it is showing on my regular savings account statement. I am thinking therefore that maybe this is a charge from KBank for joining Paypal. I know it's not much but I would just like to know what the charge is for and who levied it.

Anybody else have a Thai Paypal account linked to Kasikorn bank?

  4. I got my X8-H last week with the Neo A2 mouse. I updated it to the latest beta firmware. Ilikehd.com has been working more or less flawlessly since then. I use the Kodi version of XBMC. There is good stuff here on Freaktab as well as the Minix forums.

  5. I've been having some audio sync problems with ilikehd and after exchanging a few support tickets over the last 2 weekends it does seem that maybe my ATV1200 is not up to the job as when I switch to my desktop PC, Core i5-2500K/GTX760, things seem significantly better.

So I'm probably going to order one tomorrow and wondered if anyone here had tried this box with ilikehd, 365Sport or ThaiExpatTV and would like to comment on their experience.

I would get the Neo M2 mouse.

    cheers

  6. I recently encrypted my Nexus 7 (2012) and so decided to try my IQX. After encryption neither of my SIMs would connect to any network. Pressing either, "Preferred networks" or "Network operators", had no response. I've since factory reset it and it's working OK again.

  7. I have a free Spotify account registered with my UK postcode and in the past when I wanted to use the Windows app I had to setup my UK proxy in the settings. Now the Android app on my TV box and the Windows app are playing music from my Thai IP address. I'm not complaining of course just surprised.

I have a free Deezer account too. For Deezer on my Nexus 7 tablet "music on demand" works but not on my Android TV box where only "radio channels" are available. On windows in the browser "music on demand" works.

  8. I just went out to look for a old dual SIM Zenfone 5 (A501CG) in Chiang Mai, none to be had in Kad Suan Kaew or Airport Plaza. I did see one in Big C last week so I might try there.

A site with some cases for the Zenphone 6.

Are the SIM slots the type that lift up to insert the SIM or the kind where you just slide the SIM in?

  9. I have a Geniatech ATV1200 Android TV box and an IQX smartphone which for some reason will not play programmes from the schedule or category in BBC iPlayer Radio. It works fine on my Nexus 7 (2012) tablet but again not on my . In each case after clicking (touching) the play icon I get a progress icon which is animated for a while but nothing plays and the play icon re-appears.

I'm wondering if it is the device or if it affected by being in Thailand. I'm using 3BB Indy.

Does anybody else use this app and confirm if it works? I'm just about ot buy a Minix X8-H and would like to know if works on that too so I posted on the Minix forums but have yet to receive a reply.

  10. If you head down Chang Moi road from the moat and turn left at the main junction on a corner a hundred meters or so along the road just after the Kasem store is a decent electronics component shop. There's also another but more difficult to describe on Chotana road not far from Tanin market.

  11. I signed up to this a couple of weeks ago and actually used it last week. I used it in Big C Extra,Tesco Khamtien and Kad Suan Kaew in Chiang Mai. It was very convenient to be able to check prices and specs of things I was looking at. The signal did seem quite limited though and as soon as I went downstairs to the ground floor at Tesco I was disconnected.

  12. The LTE is single SIM. The only reason I can think for Asus doing this is that dual SIM is most popular in Asia where LTE is not so widely available.

The Vibe X2 is dual SIM and LTE but significantly more expensive. If Asus release a dual SIM version of the Zenfone 5 or Motorola an LTE version of the Moto G then I'll get one of those.
