There is a "HUB" you missed.
According to Paul Chambers, a professor at Chiang Mai University's Institute for South-East Asian Affairs, says there have been almost 30 coup attempts in Thailand (whether successful or unsuccessful) since 1912

I would say the Government "proposals" reminds me of the Monty Python Sketch from Life of Brian, where the comment is made, "He's making it up as he goes along!", but here while they are doing just that, they have stupid amounts of bureaucrats earning fat wads to mull it over, take commissions, while doing precisely nothing, apart from fleecing the allocated budgets of course. All being funded by the taxpayer, who also has the burden of course of a few submarines, which don't have enough water to actually be able to dive while in the gulf. Great security purchase that one!
Their apparently "nothing" agenda, apart from more of the same is now being challenged, so we can probably expect a few more Future Forward MP's to suddenly develop unexpected legal problems, suspending their rights to vote, while others with similar accusations, supported by evidence, but supporting the Junta will probably be dealt with more leniently.
Whole comedies and dramas could hold audiences in suspense about this, were the plot not so unbelievably transparent.

Who the hell transfers between airports?? Sure in unusual circumstance some people would, or when they screwed up a booking. But generally speaking people dont need to transfer directly between the two on the same day.
Every time I fly out of Thailand, or even simply going to Phuket, I have to transfer between Don Muang and Swampy. A large number of people using internal flights have to do the same.
I am sure this link, if ever completed, will be of great benefit.

Simple solution, just make ALL of the MPs Deputy Prime Ministers.
Not as if it's going to destroy the governments credibility is it.

Now that is unkind to "self righteous, publicity seeking, hypocrites".
They now, and always have, formed the government.
They would never sink that low..................but then again.........

Then again irrelevant because the OA visa would be expired and the rules around extensions would apply. Many people never use the OA as a means to get an extension. They return to their home country every 1 or two years and get a new OA.
Whatever.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Why am I not surprised, The Thaiger is not really know for cutting edge ivestigative journalism.

An uninformed comment I am afraid to say. As an OA visa is only granted outside Thailand, why on earth would it have to be implemented at every immigration office across the Kingdom. Best not to comment unless you fully understand or it makes you look silly.
And subsequent extensions????

And as we all know from previous experience this policy will be uniformly implemented at every immigration office across the Kingdom!

Maybe a resident certificate in your name, as you are POA, would be acceptable by DLT.
If you think about it, you will be acting as POA so its possibly your documents the DLT will want as you are selling the bike.
A valid point, I will check that option out.
Thanks for the idea.

Not sure which forum to post this in, but I am sure UbonJoe will redirect it if I am in the wrong place.
A friend of mine was recently taken ill and returned to the UK for medical care. Unfortunately he has been told he has terminal cancer ant will not be returning to Thailand.
He has tasked me to sell his belongings in Thailand.
He owns a car and a motorbike. I understand that I need a copy of his Passport, current visa, power attorney and a residence certificate or work permit.
I have all of the above, except a residence certificate ( he never had a work permit, retired).
I also have a signed copy of his landlords tabien ban and ID card.
Can I get a residence certificate on his behalf? Or am I in the situation of having to sell the car/motorbike a a vastly reduced price as they will have to remain in his name and cannot be transfered.
A little advice please.
Thanks in advance.
Just realised, this clearly is in the wrong forum, can a Mod move it for me or should I repost elsewhere?

I love these "Holier than thou" press conferences from the Thai Authorities.
Just a little snip from a "Nation" news article of Nov 2018....
"During the meeting, she was informed that up to September, there are 192,163 Thais living in South Korea and up to 128,520 of them were overstaying their visa."
