I'm paying 530 bahts for color and 370 bahts for black and white(InkTec) at Lotus in Hat Yai. I don't want to mess around with refills but wonder if there are some alternatives to these high prices. If so, what or where can I buy them? Thanks- a newby to computers...........

It's interesting that many deploy the use of whitening cream because it takes away from the natural beauty yet changing hair color is ok because it's supposed to make you look younger!
I'm totally gray but enjoy it and would never change it because I get more wais that way!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks you two for the info. Yes, it is in The Emporium, not Robinsons. Will check them out with some caution............Once again, the folks on this forumn come through....Thanks.

I've flown the LAX - BKK route 3 times on Eva. I found they were consistently the lowest price and was never disatified. As an added incentive, I read that they've never had a crash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a Bangkok based travel agency located on the 3rd floor of one of the Robinson stores in Bangkok. I found their site but the "Contact Us" option does not work, nor do they provide a phone number. All they have is a reservation form which I used asking them for their form number and to get back to me. They never did even though I asked them 4 times. The only reason I want to make contact is because they have the lowest fares to US by far!!!!!!!!(China Airlines)
I'd like to know if any of you have done business with them. If so, where are they and how can they be contacted.............
Thanks for the help.

I need a notary to verify my signature on a will. Went to the Thai Embassy in Singapore but just got a "run around"...no help...If such an authorized person exists here in Thailand, where do you find them? Thanks for the help......

I am an American living in Hat Yai. I have just returned from a car trip from Surin. I have been driving for 50 years and this latest driving experience is the most terrifying I've ever experienced. No lights, motorbikes on Both sides of the road, speeders, cars passing trying to make a 3 lane road out of 2 and driving cars off the road, cows on the road, elephants etc. etc.
I'll take my chances in Hat Yai where the odds of staying alive far surpass anything like being on the so called highways......

I have flown six times from Hat Yai to BKK using a Visa DEBIT card with no problem. Maybe they are going through "growing pains". Let's hope their maintenance procedures are a little more effective........

I have flown Air Asia 6 times and love it because they let kids and old guys on first)I'm an "old guy". To qualify for an OG you must be at least 55...The best kept secret is that the best seats(2) are at the midships emergency door where there is plenty of leg room for foreigners!!!!!

I have been attempting to find a hobby shop in Thailand with no success. Can't read the "yellow Pages" as they are in Thai. Looking for model ships, planes cars etc. There must be at least one store in Bangkok...How about it?

It's about time....just hope this isn't all talk and no action!

Thanks for sharing this interview. It appears he shares some of the same frustrations that we do. His comment about his agency being an enforcement rather than a service agency may explain the mind set of many of his staff. I can empathize with him though having responsibilty yet unable to influence "the system".

I was advised by the US Embassy to apply for the fiancee visa even though we would only be in the US for a short time. We wish to get married there rather than Thailand because family is there etc. I studied the application forms regs etc. and couldn't believe the horrendous amount of paperwork and documentationi.e. bank statements, police records, medical exam by designated doctors, photos, passports, divorce papers, exact address for last 5 years and employment record etc. etc. Then if there is a single error or something isn't quite right, the visa is rejected. In addition, the regs and rules are changing rapidly so one has to have the latest stuff so that a bureaucrat can't say "sorry you need form 1b not form 1c........." The legal form I'm inquiring about will at least guarantee the $350 back if the visa is rejected. Sure, I could do it myself but I'm choosing not to. It's well worth $350 to me to know the process was done correctly and under the latest rules.....................

I am seeking legal assistance in securing a fiancee visa for my Thai lady. We would like to marry in the US then return to live here again. I saw this firm advertised on this web site as I registered for the first time. This is my first post. I'd like to know if anyone has had experience with this group. The price is right at $350 but I'd like at least one recommendation. Thanks.
Thailand Tourist Police

I will be working with some new members of the Thailand Tourist Police while attempting to teach them some English survival skills. It would be helpful to me if members could share their experiences, both positive and negative, so that I can better assist these new recruits in being more effective with English speaking tourists and foreigners. All opinions are OK!
