  1. how busy are the bars and clubs this time of year?

will be flying out in 4 days time and was wondering if there were plenty of people about on samui.

have been to samui in early november before and the place was pretty quiet,so quiet in fact that i never even went into soi green mango as it was empty all nights i was in chaweng.same can be said of bauhaus in lamai, had a foam party 1 night with about 5 people inside.on the flip side i have been on samui over xmas and new year and the whole island was full to bursting point.

  2. these A goal celebrationsare in support for a clothing line set up by zat knight, dont know what its called but obviously it starts with an A.

Was he the guy who's transfer fee was a load of tracksuits, or something like that. As he wasn't actually signed with the team he was playing for and so the tracksuits where as a gesture.

not to sure about that to be honest,i know zat knight used to play for fulham but not sure who he plays for these days.

  4. was wondering if anyone could tell me how busy samui gets in march?

i should of flown out to bkk 4 days ago but due to some problems i had to cancel at the last minuet,so now i have rebooked for march and would like to start my holliday in samui(lamai or chaweng).

i want to know if i should pre book somewhere before flying out there?

i have been to samui twice before 1 time in early november and didnt need to book as most places were less than half full or just empty and some places were open to a deal and 1 time over xmas/jan where the island at a whole was packed out solid.

so do you think i should pre-book or just wing it like on my last 2 trips.

  5. billabong bar??

is that the bar outside mcdonalds right oppersite las palmas?is it run by a bald australian bloke

i also heard they were moving this bar while i was there last year.i was told by another bar owner that they wanted to move it back off the main road further up the road,i also heard a whisper that the wanted to put a hotel on the site which has all the bars and thai boxing ring in the middle.i was told that some of these bars were to be relocated but not all of them.seems they want to move girly bars to a less visible place.

  6. your right there big c about organisation.lol

i used to watch the lady boxing when i was in samui on a saturday night and would be gutted to see them go.was so entertaining and above all is free which was great.

i used to a bar run by an english man and he never mentioned it be domolished, but he did say there was bars further down the road that were being knocked down and some were being relocated.

has the rising sun relocated anywhere new or is it the end of the road for them?

i was there in january and alot of them new units there building were empty so why are they building more.further more my appartment used to look out onto some of those new units and i never saw anybody buy anything from them

  7. lol i bought 1 of those ko san road jobbies but there was nothing dodgy about it and i went to samui but youll go to the same area to get the boat.

i went on a larger coach say 52 seater had toilet a/c tv/dvd player to watch movies.its a very long drive about 10 hours.for the coach/ferry combo ticket it cost me 600 baht 1way and before getting on the ferry there were touts selling tickets if you needed transport to your hotel/bungalow.
