  1. He will also need the wife and the normal laundry list of documents but should be able to obtain extensions of stay as long as it remains above 40k per month for the three months prior to application.

  3. Hello,

I want a visa to go to thailand. I have my own company in France and i'm working with thai Freelance. These thai Freelance are working at their home. I want to go maybe 1-3 months to thailand for working with them. I don't have company in thailand.

Is it possible ? which visa do I need ?

    Thx !!!

    Remi

You better come to thailand on base of a tourist visa(60days) after this period you can have an extension of 30 days here at the immigration for the price of 1.900 bath, you are not allowed to work in thailand, you can obtain a tourist visa at a thai embassy in france, good luck et bon voyage.

  4. Well Luckyluke,

Firstly it wouldn't be packed with Thais if the food wasn't up to it, so I was making a point (fairly obvious, except to you, I guess), that as it gets full, the food must be good.

And secondly, I was giving a word of warning, that as it is full on holiday weekends with Thais, you may have problems getting a table, as I did on one occasion.

Is that clear enough now??? :o

Clear thanks, but again ,no offense, you may have problems getting a table anyway if on holiday ,weekends,it is full with thais or other nationalities.but i do not want to argue further on,have a nice evening.

We won't have a big debate about this, but I can assure you that there are plenty of eating establishments that are never full - holidays notwithstanding. The Thais, more than farangs, can sense out good food and good value for money, and vote with their pockets. A good rule of thumb is that if the Thais pack it out then it's probably OK.

    Have nice evening yourself :D

Now i understand what you mean,i apologize to you.

  6. Hi,

Yesterday i was attempting to book tickets on the Airasia web page travelling Bkk/Hanoi,however they are looking for passport numbers. Now that is fine for everyone but me as i need to renew my Irish passport which could take at least 2 weeks.Being a tad impatient i would like to book now particuarly as i am being offered good prices. So does anyone know if perhaps i could book using my present passport number and then inform them of my new number when i recieve it.Im not travelling until June BTW.Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Should be no problem, hapens to me, but show you two passports (old en new)when you check in.

  7. No, I think it's international accounts, i.e. using a Thai ATM to get money from abroad.

Believe from my SCB-ATM I withdraw free of charge, but have to pay a small fee if I use another Thai-bank.

How can you use a Thai ATM card to get money from abroad??

Thai ATM not ATM card,on nearly every ATM in THailand you can witdraw money from your account abroad with your normal bank card of abroad or with a credit card.

  8. My bill runs at around 3,500 - 3,800 using at least 1 aircon around the clock (but set at a very economical 26/27°C) and 2,000 with no aircon.

Does anyone know the standard rate per kWh in Pattaya?...I'm paying a marked up 6.05 baht/kWh.

I'm curious to know what my surcharge is.

Live in Banglamung, two houses for one i pay 3.1475 bath per unit, taxes included, the other one 3.2618 bth per unit ,taxes included.

  9. Care to give a hint at what is interesting or troubling you?

Sorry,i am not a native english reader or speaker, not quiet understand what you mean,i think the cartoon in the newspaper "The Nation" of today is very funny,i am not sure i am allowed to copy it to put it here on the forum (copyrights)so i asked the people of the forum to go and have a look at it.Sincerely,

  10. This thread isn't about women's rights or feminism. It's about the fundamental basic human right not to be subjected to rape, particularly by someone you are married to - or rather, the fact that Thai lawmakers seem to think this scenario is OK. It's not OK for anyone to be raped - man or woman.

Many thanks November Rain,it is just what i wanted to express, but my english is not quiet so good.

  11. Move to Sweden , here a man cant look at women before gettin charged with rape, in Sweden its womans world.

A man cant say he like a pretty woman before you get angry and upset looks, and run the risk being called a male chauvinist (in Sweden miss universe contests are banned). A woman, on another hand can say and act in whatever way and never running the risk of being labeled as anything.

If you wanna discuss gender issues, move to Sweden, here the feminisist rule the political discourse. Males dont count in anyway here, only females.

    Thanks, looks nice country.
