  1. Michael Jackson 911 Call: 'He's Not Breathing!"

In a frantic 911 call, a person at Michael Jackson's house says, "He's not breathing!" and pleads with the operator to send an ambulance.

"We have a gentleman here who needs help," says the unidentified male caller, according to a tape released Friday by the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Without giving Jackson's name, the caller says there is a 50-year-old in his bed who is being given CPR by his personal physician. "He's pumping his chest and he's not responding to anything," the caller says.

The operator advises the caller to move Jackson to the floor for CPR. But when the operator hears there's a doctor on the premises, backs off. "We're on our way there. If your guy is doing CPR instructed by a doctor, he has a higher authority than me," the operator says. The operator then asks: "Did anybody witness what happened?"

"No, just the doctor, sir. The doctor's been the only one here," says the caller.

"Okay, did the doctor see what happened?"

The caller can be heard talking to somebody else: "Doctor, did you see what happened?"

A muffled voice can be heard in the background, followed by the caller coming back on the line, his voice even more urgent: "Sir, if you could please…"

"We're on our way," the operator says, interrupting. "I'm just passing these questions on to our paramedics."

After paramedics arrived within minutes, they attempted to revive Jackson, then transported him to nearby Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Drugs and Alcohol: Jackson Family Attempted Vegas Intervention

As far back as 2006, members of Michael Jackson's family were terrified that his escalating dependence on prescription drugs had become a danger to his life – and attempted an intervention in Las Vegas.

"The family believes Michael is addicted," a family insider told PEOPLE. "There was an intervention in Las Vegas. Janet was on the phone, but Randy, Jackie and Rebbie were there in person," the source said, referring to several of Michael's eight siblings.

"Michael got p---ed off. He said he wasn't on drugs. But they didn't believe him."

Jackson suffered cardiac arrest at his rented home in Los Angeles Thursday and was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. PST. His autopsy will be conducted by the Los Angeles County Coroner Friday, although some tests, including a toxicology report, could take days or weeks to complete.

At the time of the Vegas intervention, another source close to the family blamed a Jackson aide for supplying the superstar with drugs from prescriptions acquired from multiple doctors.

"[The aide] has contacts wherever they are," said the source. In addition to consuming alcohol, Jackson takes "straight morphine, Demerol and opiates like Oxycontin. He also takes Valium and Xanax," said the insider.

"Michael is a clinically functioning addict and these are the most dangerous," the source continued. "They stop and start. These are the ones that OD ... It could happen any minute."

After Jackson's death Thursday, family attorney Brian Oxman, who huddled with the grieving family at the hospital, raised the possibility that the drug abuse remained a critical factor in Jackson's life. "If you think that the case of Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it is nothing in comparison to what we have seen in Michael Jackson's life," Oxman told CNN.

  3. Bangkok - US actor David Carradine was alone the night he died, Thai police said Saturday, seeking to lay to rest rumors about possible foul play in his death.

The Kill Bill star, 72, was found dead in the closet of his Bangkok hotel suite in early June and initial reports indicated that he may have died as the result of a sexual practice known as autoerotic asphyxiation.

Rumors had also been rampant that someone was in the room with him, but Thai Police Col Kachornsak Parnsakorn tried to put those rumors to rest late Saturday.

The deputy commander of metropolitan police division 5 told the Bangkok Post newspaper that all evidence, including witness accounts and a close circuit camera in front of Carradine's room, showed that he went into his room alone.

At first Thai police said he had committed suicide, but after an autopsy by forensic experts at Chulalongkorn Hospital concluded Carradine had died of suffocation.

Well-known Thai forensics expert Porntip Rojanasunan said the actor might have died from 'autoerotic asphyxiation.' Police said the actor was found hanging in a closet with a rope around his neck and genitals and his hands bound.

Several days after his death, Carradine's body was flown to the US where an autopsy conducted by forensic pathologist Dr Michael Biden determined that Carradine did not commit suicide.

But in a brief statement at the time, he said that more information was needed from Thai authorities before reaching a final determination of how Carradine died.

Carradine recently starred in Quentin Tarantino's two-part movie Kill Bill. His first major role was as the fugitive half-Chinese Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the TV drama series Kung <deleted>.

He was in Bangkok shooting a film called Stretch.

Another shocking theory on David Carradine's death has been released by his friend, David Winters. He thinks the actor might be killed by Bangkok's transsexual hookers called Lady Boys and local police are trying to cover up the truth. "David Carradine was murdered... I strongly believe Lady Boys are responsible. Lady Boys operate in pairs. David would not have stood a chance. They can be very brutal," he told Globe magazine. The producer, who had worked with the "Kill Bill" star in three martial arts movies, demands Bangkok police to release hotel surveillance video which may reveal people with whom Carradine spent his final hours. "I want to see those tapes. My suspicion is they've already been doctored," Winters stated.

Ted Gunderson, a retired FBI agent who has been hired by Globe to investigate Carradine's case, agrees to Winters' opinion, saying "I believe he met two Lady Boys in the hotel bar." He then claimed, "They are flirtatious, desperate for money and would have zeroed in on a celebrity like Carradine."

Gunderson assumes the hookers drugged Carradine, hung him and arranged it to look like a suicide. "One of the Lady Boys may have stepped behind him, looped a length of rope around Carradine's neck and strangled him," he said. The detective strongly believes a mysterious footprint reportedly found on the martial arts practitioner's bed is the biggest clue in the case.

In the midst of the tumultuous investigation surrounding his death, David Carradine has been laid to rest in Los Angeles.

Private funeral services took place Saturday afternoon for the Kill Bill star, with more than 400 mourners turning out at the Forest Lawn cemetery to pay their respects.

Several celebrity friends attended the memorial service, including Kill Bill costars Lucy Liu, Daryl Hannah and Michael Madsen, as well as Tom Selleck, Jane Seymour, Edward James Olmos, Ali Larter, Frances Fisher, James Cromwell and Rob Schneider, who arrived clutching an ornate flower arrangement.

Some mourners wore Western garb in honor of Carradine's Kung <deleted> legacy—brother Keith Carradine, sporting a bolo-tie, briefly greeted attendees outside before the service.

The body of the 72-year-old David Carradine was found June 4, hanging naked in a hotel room in Bangkok. Despite initial speculation that Carradine's death was a suicide, the Carradine family's forensics expert, Michael Baden, announced Thursday that the actor did not take his own life.

"The autopsy findings and the evidence thus far available demonstrate that Mr. Carradine's death was not the result of suicide," Baden said in a video statement. Baden did not address the theory that the actor may have died while performing autoerotic asphyxiation.

The family of the late actor has asked for privacy as they continue to grieve.

Thai officials, with aid from U.S. experts, are continuing to investigate Carradine's death.

  9. Suicide Ruled Out By Carradine Family Investigator

    11 June 2009 3:05 PM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

An independent autopsy on David Carradine's body has ruled the actor did not commit suicide.

The Kung <deleted> star was found naked and hanging in the closet of a Bangkok, Thailand hotel room last week (4Jun09), prompting rumours he had taken his own life or died during a sex game that went wrong.

The Carradine's family members have insisted he would never have killed himself, and they hired a forensic expert to examine his body and the circumstances surrounding his death.

The results were announced by Carradine's brothers Keith and Robert at a press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Keith Carradine said, "This is a devastating loss for our family and we greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world."

The brothers also released a statement from New York-based doctor Michael Baden, which reads, "To reach a final determination as to the cause and the manner of death we must wait for further information from Thailand, as to the scene findings and the completion of the crime laboratory and toxicology studies that are still being performed."

  10. Second Autopsy Suggests Carradine Died Of Auto-Erotic Asphyxiation

    10 June 2009 9:10 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Initial results of a secondary autopsy performed on David Carradine suggest the late actor died of auto-erotic asphyxiation.

The Kill Bill star, 72, was found dead, hanging in the closet of his Bangkok hotel room on Thursday.

Some local reports suggested he committed suicide, while Thai police believe he died accidentally as he took part in a dangerous sex game involving auto-erotic asphyxiation - where victims achieve heightened sexual pleasure by restricting their air supply.

The actor's family requested officers from America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) get involved in the case last week (ends05Jun09), urging U.S. authorities to assist the local police investigation to prove the star had no intention of killing himself.

And forensic specialist Dr. Michael Baden, who was hired by the actor's family to examine Carradine's body in his native America, appears to have found evidence backing up the Thai police findings, reports the New York Post.

An initial autopsy report carried out by Thai coroners reveals Carradine died from a sudden lack of oxygen; while his body showed no signs of struggle.

Baden has refused to comment on the case.

  11. Carradine Tried Playing it Safe

We've now seen a clear, uncensored version of the photo of David Carradine's body, and it reveals a powerful clue reinforcing the theory his death was an accident.

The rope around his neck is knotted in front -- common in the bondage community. We checked around with experts, who say a knot in the front is a telltale sign someone is not doing themself in. The frontal knot makes it fairly easy to quickly escape if they start losing consciousness.

Jensen goes on to say, "It wasn't an accident. This was set up; this was foul play." Although the couple divorced, Jensen also told Radar that Carradine "was the love of my life and he always will be."

    Carradine's ex-wife reveals actor's 'kinky moments'

9 June 2009 5:28 PM, PDT | From Monsters and Critics | See recent Monsters and Critics news

Los Angeles - An ex-wife of David Carradine has revealed that the late actor liked to tie himself up and enjoyed his kinky moments. Gail Jensen made the comments in an interview with radaronline.com just days after the actor, 72, was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room amid speculation that he hanged himself accidentally when a bizarre sexual practice known as autoerotic asphyxiation went fatally wrong. 'He had his kinky moments,' Jensen said, though she insisted that she had never known him to indulge in the potentially deadly practice that ultimately killed him. However she did say that she'd often discover her husband nearly naked and bound at the wrists. 'He told me it was for meditation because of all the pressure on his life and things, so he'd tie himself up and relax, and I mean, I didn't think it was a horrible thing, but to me, it was a little weird,' she said.

Her comments came amid reports that a former New York City coroner would conduct an autopsy of Carradine's body in Los Angeles to ascertain the details of the death. Thai authorities have said it would be weeks until the results of their investigation are available.

Gail Jensen -- Carradine's third wife -- says she came home one day and -- starting at the door -- there were post-it notes with arrows leading into the basement.

Jensen says she followed the notes and found Carradine hanging from a rope, emulating Jesus Christ in body position. Jensen asked him what he was doing. David's response: "I really would like a sandwich."

Jensen says they were having people over, but David stayed in the basement while the guests ate upstairs. Gail says she went down to the basement several times to give him food and wine. Several hours later, he untied himself and joined the party.

David Carradine's ex-wife has denied his death was "sexual".

Gail Jensen - the third of Carradine's five wives - admits the 72-year-old actor had "strange" bondage habits, but insists he never strangled himself to enhance his sexual pleasure while he was with her.

She told a US TV interviewer: "David was pretty strange. He would like to get tied up. He would tie himself up and I would walk in and see him and say, 'Oh my God, David, you got to be kidding me' and I would turn around and walk out.

"I would leave him to his own devices. He liked to be tied up. And he could tie himself up. He spent days planning different scenarios. He would go to a hardware store and buy the stuff but it was never sexual and he never choked himself."

David Carradine's Ex-Wife Says 'He Liked to Be Tied Up'

After David Carradine's divorce papers in 2003 with his fourth wife revealed his "potentially deadly" sexual behavior, another woman speaks up about his deviant sex habit. In an interview with Patricia Towle this weekend, the actor's third wife, Gail Jensen, informed that David would spend days dealing with his sexual devices.

Gail told Patricia that David had a habit of doing sex with rope. "David was pretty strange," she said, before adding "He would like to get tied up. He would tie himself up and I would walk in and see him and say 'Oh my God, David, you got to be kidding me' -- and I would (turn around and) walk out. I would leave him to his own devices."

Gail continued explaining that David would spend days to plan using a different feature. "He would go to a hardware store and buy the stuff," she further added. However, the actor's ex-wife, with whom the "Kill Bill" star got divorced in 1997, insisted that he never chocked himself.

Meanwhile, in another occasion, David's fourth wife, Marina Anderson had an interview with Access Hollywood about the statement in her 2003 divorce paper which mentioned about his "potentially deadly" sex habit. "There was a dark side to David, there was a very intense side to David. People around him know that," Marina claimed, refusing to comment further on the divorce paper.

Thai officials looking into the death of David Carradine have given permission to U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents to observe their proceedings as they attempt to determine the circumstances surrounding his tragic passing.

The Kill Bill star, 72, was found hanging in his Bangkok hotel room on Thursday; some reports suggest he committed suicide, while local police believe he died accidentally as he took part in a dangerous sex game.

Carradine's family requested the FBI's involvement last week (ends05Jun09), urging authorities to assist the Thai police investigation to prove the star had no intention of killing himself.

And their request has been granted by the country's officials - although FBI agents have only been given a limited role in the case.

Thailand's senior attorney general Sirasak Tiypan says, "The FBI can observe or ask Thai investigators to investigate certain points, but it cannot run its own investigation or collect evidence."

An initial autopsy report carried out by Thai coroners reveals Carradine died from a sudden lack of oxygen; his body showed no signs of struggle.

Doctors in Carradine's native U.S. are expected to examine the actor's body this week (begs08Jun09) after his remains were flown back at the weekend.

  18. It was NOT LIKELY A SUICIDE.

According to the movie Producer he was working with, David Carradine born John Arthur Carradine was found hanging in his Hotel closet with his hands tied behind his back and rope around his neck and genitals.

Someone please tell me how you classify that as a suicide?

As has been said, the only ones saying the hands were tied behind the back seem to be the lawyer and the publicist in America. All other reports seem to be that they were not tied together.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Police commissioner, Lieutenant General Worapong Chewpreecha, confirmed that Carradine had been found with his neck bound to his penis by a shoestring and his hands tied.

This indicates that his hands were tied, but not necessarily together.

  19. After Carradine’s half-brother, Keith Carradine, met Friday with FBI officials in Los Angeles, those officials contacted the FBI's legal attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok “to determine if the Thai authorities are requesting or would welcome FBI assistance in this matter,” FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimilller tells PEOPLE. She adds there is no word yet as to whether Thai authorities will invite the FBI to join their investigation.

Keith Carradine, 59, “wants authorities to investigate his brother’s death, and to determine if anyone else was involved,” says Keith Carradine’s attorney, Mark Geragos, who arranged Friday’s meeting with the FBI.

Geragos tells PEOPLE that Keith and other family members are finding the grieving process even more difficult because they keep getting conflicting details regarding the condition of Carradine’s body when it was discovered.

I agree,There are too many conflicting details.

I would do the same thing if it was my brother

  20. The Bangkok Metropolitan Police commissioner, Lieutenant General Worapong Chewpreecha, confirmed that Carradine had been found with his neck bound to his penis by a shoestring and his hands tied.

DNA samples taken from Carradine's body would be used to determine if there was anyone else in his room at the time of his death, the hospital said in a press statement

(Newser) – David Carradine’s family has asked the FBI to look into his death, the New York Daily News reports. “They want an investigation,” said a lawyer for Carradine’s brother.

“I would think that the people in Bangkok would want to support an investigation and allow the FBI to go over there and assist in the investigation so we can get the answers to the questions," said the lawyer.

"I think there had to be foul play," Carradine's manager Chuck Binder added. "I mean my gut instinct is something definitely happened there."

When another King panel member mentioned that Carradine was reportedly interested in secret societies, Geragos said this reported interest was "connected to martial arts and [Carradine's] interest in martial arts. And so there is a suspicion that if there was some foul play, that that may be the first area where [investigators] should look."

So it is confirmed that his hands were tied. Maybe a martial arts hit?

'Kill Bill' star David Carradine's manager claims he was murdered in a Thai hotel earlier this week

His manager Chick Binder said, however, his Carradine's hands were tied behind his back and a footprint on the bed in the otherwise immaculate hotel room where he was found did not match his shoes.

Binder said: "For sure there was foul play. We definitely don't believe it was a suicide. David was a great guy and a great client and a great friend."

The actor's lawyer Vicki Roberts said: "I believe there may have been foul play. Anybody could stage a suicide after a murder."

If it is true that his Hands were tied behind his back than it looks like murder to me.

Autopsy results will not be available for three or four weeks, said a high-ranking Thai police source who asked not to be identified.
