Thats all very good but, what happens when theres nothing left other than original goods around? People can hardly afford to buy cheap pirated goods let alone originals. I bet the police have pirated copies of windows on their computers, pirated watches they caught before they all got burnt etc

This Embassy is also good for multiple entry Non-O visas which you can't get at Vientiane.

I use and agent from BKK and it only costs me all inclusive 6300 including entry into Laos, Non-o Visa, food and hotel as well as all transport....Been to Vientiene for the past 5 years....will do somewhere else next time for a change i think

Wouldn't they be better off dredging what klongs and rivers they already have..... couple that with water management of international standards rather than the Thai stubbornness of "she'll be ok" attitude. Last years flood could have been a LOT less if they had just dumped the water already in the dams

What on earth are they doing drinking alcohol on Police premises even if they were off duty? We are subject to drug and alcohol testing, randomly and we definately cannot have any alcohol on the premises, even unopened.

Pissed up cops on duty, in uniform and carrying their gun are a common sight in every small town in Thailand.

Small town, big town/city they are all the same....Chooka, Beer is more common than water in police stations unfortunately

Also a fact that could be related to this is.....Trains have big problems stopping when they don't have any brakes...... Remember when they did a survey on the trains and maintenance?....99% of the trains needed new brakes

I have been here nearly 6 years now..... I have never had lessons or anything formal like that. I do have a Thai wife but she doesn't need to teach me. I'm out and about all day and whether it be work of shopping i just listen interact and put into practice everything i hear...... Now i'm well understood, may not be 100% but i can hold a perfectly decent conversation on my own without help
