  1. I need to paint a large amount of galvanised steel sheet - one for looks and two that it will hopefully give a few more years protection against rust.

In uk/europe the brand hammerite is what i would use and use the metal primmer from the same brand - i have had good results.

Of course TIT you can't get the real deal hammerite and the primmer to go with it though i have seen a 'local' version but no primmer.

    Any ideas??

    TIA

  2. Don't bother with Pattaya - its out of most music shops range and they won't offer you any discount from the list. PM me and i'll point you in the right direct for Yamaha, Roland etc etc

  3. I installed a cattle-type electric fence over my wall a few months ago. very cheap. problem is that its connected to the main electricity of the house, 220v, so i havent used it yet. I need to get a downconverter. can anyone recommend a good voltage (i obv dont want to hurt anyone, only startle them)?

Another thing people can think about with these fences is that often it has great preventive value even when turned off. Very few people want to touch a wire like this to test if it is on or not.

    chr

When you say conected to the house 220V AC supply WHAT does it kick out to the fence wires???

  4. Been searching the old posts - change of computer - i lost a very handy link, but i remember a TV member had their own site with a lot of the goverment approved plans on it the dctp site links don't seem to work...................

    Anyone?

    TIA

  5. Just got a new non imm B via post from Hull RTC

Very little in paperwork required and a quick turn around.

10 out of 10 to Hull!

Makes the London RTE seem like a complete waste of time and Hull works out the same or cheaper, same visa fee + £16 for postage there and back to a UK address

  6. Thanks for the reply's so far!

auto shut off when dry is really the thing needed - expensive maybe but its going to be less than a burnt out pump anymore info on this?

Filters I've had a quick look and its all down to how much water is required per hour - any clues on this for a 8 bedroom property?

    Thanks again!

  7. Other things you should note is how much pipe from wall unit to compressor is included and what quailty of pipe, one more thing the little 9/12k btu units from what ever brand don't like long runs of pipe try for around 3-5M from wall unit to compressor or you will find it takes a longer time for the unit to get cold. Invertor units are the way to go more cash to buy but electricity bill savings pay this back after a year or two

  8. OK so here's the system I have walked into:

60M bore hole well - 6" pipe with 1 hp pump

    Feeding 6 x 4000 L tanks

then feed to outlets via 2 x 1.5hp pumps with inline pressure switch

What I want is to automate the system and install filtering, currently there's no set up to automatically feed the tanks OR shut the feed pump off if the bore hole runs dry (it has on before so I am told).

Also what size, style cost for a filter system ??

Float switch is easy enough to cut the in pump feeding the tanks.

The rest is kinda new to me as i've only ever dealt with main's supplied water feeds.

    TIA people!

  9. The Toyota Thailand web site is in english or thai - not rocket science to send them message but quite chuffed that they sent an answer back the next day. Also got the missus to check by calling up the local dealer - the first girl on the phone said no B5 for all Toyotas then the Missus asked to speak to someone with a brain and were told the same answer as from the email.
