The PM Khun Prayuth has done a good job to restore law and order to what was a wild west society.
No more thugs dictating road closures and unorganized rallies. Of coarse your going to have anarchy when those knuckle heads are allowed to do what they like.
Thailand hasn't been so good for a long time and Khun Prayuth Chan o char has worked hard to get it back on track.
WELL DONE KHUN PRAYUTH !! You are the right person to lead the country....
The Ministry of Truth gets its word in.

Neighbours from hell. Very hard to solve because everything you do to solve the problem only antagonises them further, and they enjoy seeing you react, and so the circle continues, sometimes for years.
Moving is all I can think of. Laughing, blowing kisses at her and ridiculing in the meantime. Or ignore her, which will upset her more than anything.

Whichever way the vote goes on this fatuous referendum, Prayuth will stay in control. His side has guns, and they are not afraid to kill their own citizens to cling to power.

People obviously do. There are enough Limousines running around Bangkok 24/7 with clients that want to travel that way, and they are not all TE members. Not everybody wants to have a row about putting the meter on and who is going to pay the Toll road fees.
How many people without a Thai elite would pay for this? My guess is less than .05% of the people leaving the airport.
Ermmm....You won't get a Chauffeur driven BMW 7 series Limo with the driver waiting in arrivals to take you anywhere in the City and not driving like a mad man for 300btIn Bangkok a taxi to the city is less than 300 baht. What is your reference point using 1000 baht?
TE members enjoy making one simple phone call or send an email and the TE staff and Limo driver does the rest.
We don't even need to collect our Luggage, that is also taken care of while we enjoy a cold refreshing drink
I'm one of those people. After a long flight, the AOT limousine service is so much better than having to deal with rude kamikaze cheating taxi drivers.

A million Baht for 20 years of hassle free visas will make this an option for many, including retirees who can't be bothered jumping through all the hoops of the retirement visa program.

Not at all - in the EU, an independent Scotland will be an equal member at the table. In the UK, we are an inconvenient afterthought with zero input in Westminster.
Are you trying to say in an eu sense is that what Brussels is to England (UK), Westminster is to Scotland
And what self determination do we get when we, as a nation, repeatedly and comprehensively reject the Tories yet we are required to endure year after year of their assault on the working class to the betterment of their friends and donors? What about the million or so scots that voted for brexit? What kind of independence does Scotland with a population of 5 million people think they are going to get from Brussels? Scotland voted just two years ago to stay in the UK. The U.K voted for brexit,48% of the U.K. Voted to remain. Scotland, now please listen all you braveheart ex pats , has voted two years ago to stay in the UK. The U.K voted for brexit so like nearly half of England that voted to remain ,stop whinging and get on with it.
I voted to remain, I'm Scottish (well mostly) and this woman really gets on my ti#ts. Does she actually do or talk about anything else apart from independence?? What does she actually do for Scotland apart from this? All the Scottish whingers should educate themselves and see exactly what the perks actually are from being in the UK. And pray also that the rest of the U.K. don't decide to have their own referendum on keeping us!
They are asset stripping the country, selling off the riches to the highest corrupt bidder whilst reducing the rights of the average person until we will all be in the pockets of their beloved multi nationals and business barons.
There are people on TV who often repeat the nonsense that Scots hate the English - independence is not a rejection of England but of Westminster, a place we clearly have no direct influence over.
So have another referendum and finance yourselves while pretending to be independent and taking orders from piss head Juncker then. Win win.
We'll welcome you back when you change your mind, our brothers and sisters from the beautiful north of this tiny island that we share.

Well said, and let's not forget that the majority of Scots, being sensible and pragmatic people, voted to remain part of the UK. Sturgeon thinks that independence means taking orders from faceless bureaucrats in Brussels. What a false prophet she is.

Eight year olds arrested? Are they really that paranoid? You couldn't make this up.

Stopped working on march 22nd, still nothing being done WHY???
Sheer incompetence thats why.
Safety safety something that is not in the forefront of minds here.
Well maybe sometime in the future we will get around to fixing it.
It will take another tsunami, with thousands more killed, to get it fixed.
Mai pen rai.

Abhisit is just a conniving arse kisser, who only got into power as as a puppet when the army put him there. He could never get enough support to win an election, because most Thai people hold him in contempt as an incompetent snob.
-
Let the Scots go, if that's what they want. With oil at $50 per barrel, and fast running out, it's difficult to see how they will support themselves without English taxpayers money paying their social security.
Given the fact that the English taxpayers are supporting so many of them, it's hard to see why the Scots hate England and love the EU so much. Or is it? Sturgeon is a robotic little Bolshevik communist and the EU more and more resembles the Soviet Union, with it's centralised control inflicting unemployment and poverty on so many.
-
What a lot of fuss about nothing.
This daft referendum is just a charade - voting for yet another constitution is completely pointless because the army always rips up constitutions whenever any other political group becomes too popular.

Seems cruel for the genuine elderly and disabled ones. What job is a crippled old woman going to get trained to do?
If they are too old or too disabled to work what will happen to them then?
Right. The generals are treading on the necks of the poor again, as they always do.
How about introducing social security for those who are unable to work? Lecturing a crippled old woman on the 'sufficiency economy' isn't going to help her survive.

Some corrections on above. You could buy a big bike and go to Villa market 20 years ago.
I'll add: drive anywhere without getting stuck for hours on end. The roads are much better now.

Submarines are a very useful source of personal income for the military top brass. With the salary of a general little over the 100,000 Baht a month, how else would they send their kids to top universities abroad, buy houses in European capital cities and other such essentials?
-
Maybe the Thai men were jealous of the well endowed foreigner.
Hilarious ?
-
Good. Confiscation of the bikes for 15 days is not enough though. They should put them in the crusher.

I wouldn't blame Thailand for being sick of mass tourism in all its forms, not just sex tourism. Hordes of rude foreigners invading every beauty spot.
Thailand was once a pristine and beautiful country. Mass tourism has spoilt it for everyone.
I can see why some countries like Bhutan limit the number of tourist arrivals. Small numbers are fine but masses are ugly.

She looks rather cute. This the Minister of Sports and tourism, Kobkarn Wattanavrankul. I believe she is correctly referred to as a woman.

I think that union members get to vote too but only after a certain time. The rules may be on the Labour party website.
-
it is also interesting that the Labour party, traditionally a supporter of the poor and the workers doesn't seem to have any coherent plan what to do. They too are split and riven by internal rivalries. Their leader, Jeremy Corbyn has faced a motion of no confidence
and few of the Labour MPs seem to support him. Two candidates are standing against him but he will get the union block votes which in itself is a travesty.
British politics are going through a great upheaval at this time and it would take a very brave and confident person to predict what British politics will look like by the New Year.
I could make a prediction but it wouldn't be of much use as I didn't even win anything on the lottery yesterday.
I thought the Labour leader vote was dependent on party members? Are the unions involved in this decision?
Genuine question.
We have a split in the Labour Party, whereby most of its MPs are not Labour at all, in that they don't support the poor or the working classes who (by and large) voted to leave the EU. Most Labour MPs are in fact Blairite Liberals detached from their electorate, indistinguishable from their like-minded kin who have taken over the Conservative Party. Strange though it may seem, Jeremy Corbyn is one of the few authentic Labour politicians left, and this is why his morphed-into-Blairite-Liberal party hates him so much.
The rules as they stood when Corbyn was installed meant that it was the party membership, rather then fellow MPs, who elect the leader. Anyone used to be able to pay three pounds to become a member of the labour party and participate in leadership elections immediately, which in itself was an indication of Corbyn's popularity among ordinary Labour people (who vote for him) and Blairite Liberal MPs pretending to be Labour MPs (who want him out but can't get rid of him).
From the article above, it looks like the Blairite Liberals are having their way and changing the rules:
http://www.labour.org.uk/pages/labour-party-leadership-election-2016
They are making it harder on Corbyn by preventing new members from voting for him. This will likely herald the death of the Labour Party, and from its ashes will rise a new party that actually represents the poor. This is a good thing - we need to hear both sides of the political argument and all parts of our society need honest representation, rather then the impostors that have subverted our democratic traditions in recent years.
PM Prayut says he will vote Yes to both draft charter and attached question

And seriously, Prayuth must hold the whole nation in utter contempt if he thinks that people believe nonsense like this. Of course he'll vote 'Yes'. How else would he vote? He and his military cronies controlled all aspects of this fatuous referendum from day one.
