  1. Seeing as how I am too dam_n big for most desk chairs i was very happ to find on at KONCEPT just down the street from the Bamboo Bar in Buriram. the chair has double wheels in each of the five legs .

I have had it for four months now and remain very happy. My Macro chair lasted less than nine months.

I think the cost was around 15-20K a bit expensive but well worth the cost to me. :o

  2. Where are u building?

I have three A/C units, a large one in the TV room which is Panosonic I am not really happy with it, does not cool that great and has required 2 service calls; two smaller units are in the bedroom and my office both are Mitsubishi and I am very happy with both.

I believe in PM and have all 3 units serviced twice a year.

My electrical bill runs around 5K a month but I remain very comfortable.

Best of luck with your building.

  3. I have live in Thailand nearly four years, 2 in Bangkok and the last two in a small village outside Huairat, I have tried many times to have my travel out side of Thailand but she has no desire to leave Thailand at all.

when I bug her about it she responds that everything is here we need and I do agree. I am very happy in my little compound, We go to Bangkok every three months for my eye check ups and spend a few days shoppinf and enjoying the big city life.

I do believe you can be very happy with village life if it can supply your needs. :o

  4. While this may not be the best time but I have been going to the Ruttin Eye Hospital in Bangkok for 3 years. I had Cataract surgery there last year, The Hospital is as good if not better than any eye hospital in the states.

Excellent English, Price is not out of line in my opinion and well worth the trip.

  5. I used the yellow light for years in the US but only recently found them in Thailand. I have three in use, my wife is not real fond of them because they are not as bright but for me I find the yellow light excelent for my eyes.

I however do not believe they are really great at keeping the blood suckers away.

The yellow tubes will fit in the standard 4 foot holder I purchased the set tube and holder. :o

  6. I buy all my 4th July fireworks at one of the monk/temple supply stores in Buriram.

Price is not too bad 1st years i purchased fireworks in BKK and my was veery upset to have them in the car when we drove to the village.

I am certain all the supply shops have the basic boomers as well as some good show ones,

If u are close to Vuriram I will ask my wife the name of the shop I use as well as the address. :o

  7. String tying is for luck do not worry about it.

If you do not want her for a g/f so be it.

Do not allow something like your "PROBLEM?" to keep you away from LOS. Come back soon still many wonderful women and a few not so wonderful but it a wonderful place to live.

  8. I use the IT Relax Computer shop, the owner speaks some English. I do not feel as if I am being ripped off at all. Just had them build a new system for me and very happy at this time. the Shop is located in beautiful downtown Buriram. Telephone # 044-621706.

  9. I have seen the two men with white shirts black trousers riding bikes in Buriram and I do believe them to be Mormon Missionaries. Have not been able to catch up with the pair to ask.

You see many in the States dressed like that, I believe all males must serve 2 years as missionaries, All u readers out there read a Zane Gray book to learn his opinion of their church.

  10. DO NOT consider buying puppies at the PET Shop down the road from the Bamboo Bar and across from the disco area. Keep away from that place at all costs. I will PM u of my many problems with her.

  11. I was one that suggested u move on.

Perhaps I should have mentioned I was married 3 times in the states and really I am not in a position to give advice on relationships.

Most important thing is for u to be happy

Spend what u want and how u want, just remember u may have to walk away from what u buy in Thailand.

I have really enjoyed my Thai wife and my 3 Years in Thailand and I wish all the best for you.

  12. Like drunks the world over, he just want to prove he is better than u.

My first reaction would be to turn my dog on him but that would solve nothing.

It very well is a situation now where your wife talking with his wife will solve the problem, if that does not improve the problem call the police and tell them the man is trying to harm your wifes' dog. ""Not your dog your wife's dog".

  13. bkkblueeyes : when u wake up tomorrow look in the mirror and u will see what I believe is a kept male, So glad u found a family that will give u food and shelter as well as spending money. But is not that what u are telling me all Issan women are doing?

I feel sorry and sad that your experience with people of Issan has been so poor. I wonder if I could put all the people of your country in the same category as I want to place you.

Every culture has good and bad people, Change your circle of friends and perhaps u will meet some good people.

  14. I do believe u are being taken, it just goes to show that the background of the woman can be a bar girl of a University Grad the end result came be the same.

The bottom line has been stated many times in TV spend what u can afford to walk away from. IMHO u may be walking quickly.

I have not been hit with the buy me bug from my wife, but I have seen it happen to others.

Many wonderful women in Thailand and a few that can make u happy but at a very high cost. KEEP LOOKING!

  15. Check the small villages of rural Issan, that is where u will find the poor people. Its the same when I go to Buriram not only are the many new cars, even saw a new BMW or Mercedes sport car the other day.

What I find hard to understand is how Big C is always so packed with people as is Macro and even to old store is full of shoppers. I have gone on different days and times all the same . Packed with shoppers.

  16. Gary your comments and remarks are way off, saying the the Muslim ATHAN is idiotic, did you never hear the bells on Sunday????

Living in the middle east for most of my life, i have enjoyed listening to the ATHAN in the morning, I have enjoyed the bells in Germany as well as in the middle east, and i do enjoy the awful singing in the village early Morning.

I think waking up early morning to do the broadcast, the ATHAN, the bells, shows a high sign of dedication and pride in ones work, and that should be respected in all cultures.

    It also feel energizing

Actually I agree with Gary, My old condo in Bangkok was in the sound path ways of the muslim call to prayer. Not only was it loud but muslims scare the hel_l out of me for it seems their purpose in life is to kill me.

  17. Not an answer to your question just a positive comment.

My wife and I paid a visit to a Thai lady boy friend who had a great looking home, The home could hold its own with many in the States. He then wanted to show us his special room, which was a very large basement room, very cool and it was his gambling room where he and his friend could gamble with no worries from the police.

As we drove home my wife made the comment that she would never go in an underground room, it was just too scary.

Only basement room I have seen in Thailand and it looked neat and cool. No idea on price but it was a very expensive home.
