We are with TRUE DOCSIS and our connection to international servers has been down from almost a week now. Lot of lost packets and the browser is showing "Connection resetted"

The TRUE customer service told us that the problem is a CAT's undersea cable which was damaged by a thypoon and that is expected to be repaired on 6th oct. They say that this problem is affecting all of the Thai ISP and that there is nothing they can do about it.

Are you guys with 3BB or TOT experiencing the same problem?

Well this looks like a very bad news for who is not meeting the requirements for the extension.

Well I went there on Monday too and I had 9 months left on my work permit.

I am doing this from several years and never had a problem in Kuala Lumpur but this time i was told the same ... we are going to stop issuing NON B Multiple visas

I asked then very politely to the lady if there was really no way to get the Multiple at least this time and she went to the boss office. She then came back and made me pay for a multiple. She told me also that will be the last multiple.

She told me that there are no problems getting a single entry visa even every three months there but they will stop with the old rule of the 7 month validity on the wp for the multiple one.

It appears you may not meet the normal requirements for extension of stay as the cost is only 1,900 baht. You might have better luck getting multi entry visas from your home country rather than a Consulate in the immediate area but perhaps you should check why you can not qualify and try to find a solution.

I don't know why gohkianlay can"t qualify or what he meant with "only bahts can get it done" but in my case..... to meet the requirents i should hire 3 more Thais which i really do not need.....now sum their (salaries + social security) * 12 + 1900 baht and you will have a very expensive extension.

Going to Kuala Lumpur for a visa every three months isn"t going to be cheap either. Is Penanag any better?

You will litterally fly and this means you will have to study a bit of meteorology and learn flying ruels. In europe you need a licence and i'd suggest you ta get it in your country since you will probably fly there most of the time.

the problem has been sorted out following the excellent advices provided by petercallen

Now after a week the water is perfectly clean and i am confident that the dam_n algae has been defeated.

Thanks to everyone who replied in this thread and special thanks to petercallen and Lannatyne that kindly offered to come for help.

The pool guy just "shocked" the pool super chlorinating it and set the pump to run overnight.

We will see tomorrow morning if the quality of the water is improved. I do not expect that the problem will be fixed overnight but let's see if it helped.

I will surely update the thread when i' ll have sorted out the problem

The problem is that having called the real pool company (well known) for a check and following their directions didn't help either.

I'll try to go there tomorrow to see if is possible to speak with someone in english. I am not willing to save money or to blame anyone i just want the pool clean.

From a couple of week we are seeing this brownish stuff which is accumulating on the bottom and on the walls of our pool. Brushing it out seems to easily dissolve the thing but after the next pump cycle it is there again.

Our maintenance guy, who comes every other day, seem to be unable to get rid of it. The pool is fairly new (4 months) and we obviously called the constructor which blamed the maintainer and told us that the chlorine/ph level wasn't optimal and that we could fix the problem adding chlorine and letting the pumps run for a whole night.

We asked then to the cleaning guy to do so but it looks to me that more the pumps are running more this brownish stuff is piling up.

I initially thought is was sand but i am now thinking about algae.

At the moment the pumps are running from 36 hours and the thing is there as never before.

We really do not mind about paying the electric for the pumps but this is obviously not going to work and all we want is the pool clean now.

Does someone know how to solve this problem or point me to a professional able to sort out this problem?

You can't take the car with you on the ferry. That's a small island and there is no point to let people bring their cars.

The parking looks reasonably safe to me and i wouldn't mind leaving my car there but then obviously you never know.

The guy's name is Giovanni and his coffee is really good.

It is real imported italian coffee and you really can't compare it with boncafe. It comes in capsules and they are sealed one by one.

The last machine i have got from him doesn't make capuccino but the expresso is even better then before.
