They had a gift register but someone gave it away.

At least they didn't go the elongated process that Australia did which was largely opposed by religious entities who are notorious for hiding homosexuals, Lesbians regrettably kiddy fiddlers.
Not hurting anyone except the relatives who are hoping to get a property and money when one of them kicks the bucket. I assume this means proper marital rights for inheritance etc where properties are concerned.
Could be a bit of pressure on some falangs in Boyztown now.

The "historic" hunting of whales by the Japanese is largely BS. They began eating them after WW11 because they could not get protein easily from other sources. The Australian and Kiwis were not going to send beef to Japan when Britain was crying out for it.
Scandanavia aside much of thw whaling done in previous centuries was done for the oil for lamps. Some smaller nations like those in the pacific would kill maybe one whale a year which became a feast for the whole village and the whales teeth became a status symbol.
If it constitutes 0.1 percent of their meat products it can easily be replaced.
I took some Japanese students who were staying with my parents as part of Lions International whale watching off Hervey Bay in Australia. A deckhand was part time Greenpeace warrior and spoke Japanese. When he explained to them that some may be harpooned by the Japanese as a bogus research plan to eat them they were in shock. They signed up on the spot and in Japanese told the deckie they would go back to Japan and tell everyone they could.
The Japanese can have the ones beached and that should satisfy whoever it is that are still eating them.

I have used those 3 m things for years. Everything from frypans to framed photos. I have one next to the door for keys . The landlord was impressed when I asked him and he said if we leave we can leave them there if we want to because they are saving space in the kitchen and bathroom.

It is simple. Review every foul or penalty on VAR and if it is a dive then red card the diver and award a penalty at the other end for unsportsmanlike conduct. It will stop after the first idiot tries it on and gets caught

So the Nation did not bother tp ring the BIB nor the neighbours. That would have been the responsible thing to do and smart as well. If Police stop it they get some kudos. If they don't bother then run a story with "Our reporter rang Maj so and so at relevant police station and informed him of what was going to happen but Police chose to ignore it. Inactive post coming up when senior copper in the area is booted in the arse and he loses face.

In Jakarta a few years ago they built a pedestrian overpass from the main bus station and huge market in Blok M over to a new mall. The authorities warned the public that they would not tolerate signs, food hawkers, beggars whatever on the walkway. It was opened and a day later a few food carts were pushed up and operating and the Police came in and fined the operators. A week later they were back again but more of them so the carts and signs were confiscated and vendors fined. A few weeks went by and they back but even more of them. So the Army came in, blocked streets off , arrested the vendors and made them stand to one side as a crane and bulldozer and trucks appeared. Crane picks up cart. Then dropped 3 storeys onto concrete road . Bulldozer shovels the bits onto trucks. Trucks disappear to landfill. They gaoled all the offenders for a month and they have not been bothered since.

I spent nearly 2 hours at the Australian Embassy trying to replace a damaged passport.

If I was the meat in the sandwich I would not be complaining.

Most Australians couldn;t care less. It is just unfortunate that the PM is a hillsong god botherer. He holds his seat by 20 percent so he will not lose his seat. The ABC news gave the website as Sugardaddy, Showed a picture of the tart. They could try making her out as a homewrecker to stop these bitches making from a simple dinner.

If you wanted to move to a regional city or town that has a population decline or a skill shortage it would improve your chances. Rent would be cheaper, housing would be cheaper and yor wife could get a gig initially at an RSL or club or a restaurant. Most Thai restaurants are run by Chinese. I took my girlfriend to two that the staff could not speak Thai.

Well I think we need to make sure he stays there. When he first went to Autrali for a promo he was egged in Melbourne and I was PMSL.

the same way they always did before, those beautiful woven containers for dry goods, maybe lined with leaves, and metal containers for the rest. It really is not a problem. just bring your own food container.
When I lived on the darkside one of those mobile food vendors used to offer a small discount or give you more if you took your own pots outside.
Have not had a visit to Tesco Lous in Soi Arunothai when the number of bags was near equal to the amount of items purchased. I keep handing them back or telling them to put the solitary can of fish in with the beer, it won't hurt either.

Hopefully one of those NGOs that swan around in new 4 WDs and live in expensive rentals taking the odd photo-op can give her some decent legal help as well as what ever mental health support she needs. In this case I am not prepared to say RIP to the scumbag.

Agree Scorecard. If the parents agree. Of course they would. It was probably them who made the offer in the first place. A bit of coin exchanged and no cost of feeding a kid who should still be in school. A 13 year old muslim girl is not going to nightclubs or even a mosque looking for a 40 year old boyfriend.
If the local Imman agrees . Of course he will.

Entirely plausible. Cricketers and baseballers have died after being hit on the neck which triggers some sort of embolism. RIP Sailor.

Again solid advice from Ubonjoe. I was out one day for my Non O extension but went to Bangkok, got the Stat dec from Aust embassy and got back to Jomtiem just in time and paid the 500 and went across the floor and got the extension done.
They wanted to see the overstay fine payment receipt before issue of the extension. Of course where you do it may have a different sequence.

My brother worked for years as a supervising auto electrician in South East Asia for over 12 years. Now in Suriname. He says what they did in West Papua was criminal, The water sources were left poisoned the jungle flattened and the villagers were given a pittance. Where he lives now in Borneo when not on site is disturbing. With complicity from the Indonesian military large areas of rain forest and home to sun bears and Orangutans are being flattened to sell off the timber and replant with palm oil trees which gain carbon credits eagerly sought by large multinationals. Orphaned Orangutans are sold as pets , illegally.
If these villagers don;t get the coin they should publish the names and nationalities of all directors and senior staff, and the law firm, and belt the crap out of them on social media. "Daddy, I have no friends at school because they say the company you run won;t pay Thai villagers for land you wrecked and the money they are owed is weeks wages to you" Not the kids fault but shunning at the country club for his missus might also go a long way as well. "Off to the Bahamas again while poor Thai farmers have there livelihood destroyed and your husband won;t pay. How do you sleep at night. Comfortably I bet"

My TGFs brother was a Thai boxer in Sakeo district and was very good, Two coppers half way home bailed him up after a fight and said "You win" . Yes . Well hand over your prize of 3000 baht. He reluctantly did It happened again a month later. The next time he told them no. I need to pay my trainers etc. One copper pulled a gun. He refused thinking he wouldn't pull the trigger. He did but was a misfire, The boxer grabbed the weapon and turned it on the cop and pulled the trigger and it fired and killed the cop. The other cop apparently shit his pants literally and got on his knees and was begging for forgiveness. Boo was arrested and charged with murder but it was downgraded to manslaughter and he couldn't get off on self defence. He did 8 years.
Boo told the cops if he had of got one more extortion he was going to throw fights to get money that way. The local Police Chief was furious as he had mage good money on him so transferred the other cop to a shit post somewhere near the Cambodian border and stamped his file never to be promoted or transferred.
The correct procedure was not to charge Boo at all and fire the copper.

Thanks. I have a laminated copy of my passport hadn;t got round to updating it because I was going to do it next week as my landlord has a copy shop and they do it for me for 20 baht.
As it dries out we can make out the main page and visa stamp. When it fully dries I will see if the unused re entry stamp is visible. The TM7 won;t be a problem.
No I didn;t yell. My fault for leaving it my pocket and she has offered to sell some gold for the cost of replacing it.
The website mentions nothing about damaged passport and says you have to go to Bangkok to pick it up. And when I tried emailing it throws something up that doesn;t work.
And last time I went to the embassy I was the only client there. I was told to take a number and waited 15 minutes before they saw and charged me an a heap of money to witness my stat dec. It wasn't lunch time so what were they doing?

Sunlight is a natural killer for these things. So if you dry your stuff in the day time that will help. You could also run a hot iron over the pillow slips.
Unless you need to travel and don't want wet clothes then the dryer might a good idea.
My only problem with Mom and Pop laundries is I once had a new T shirt pinched when an Englishman said it was his when it was drying and the girl gave it to him. They charged me for the cleaning and I said where is my T shirt. "Solly england man say his', I said then dont charge me. OK. Hope the mongrel put on 10 stone and it no longer fitted him.
