The USA, god forbid, I’m an European, why would I relocate to one of the countries I hate the most?
Is it so that someday I get shot by some random 400kg freedom gun loving yank? You hate me this bad? Lol
No, I don't hate you at all. Just thought you be more comfortable in such a country.
Agree with your last sentence wholeheartedly . Don't want to live there again for any long stretch of time.

Sorry about that Hammer, I was actually meaning to respond to Alextrat1966

consensual relationship surely that's OK? Or maybe they are just friends. If they don't have sex is it alright to be just friends?
No it's not! It's pure degeneration
Ha Ha, talking about my de,de,degeneration . Maybe you should relocate to a country that is more to your specs, maybe the USA what with the direction it is headed.

Get ready for rogue police to extort money from Retirement/ Married visa holders as they are aware of the vast sums of money those visa holders have in their bank accounts , at least most of them who jumped thru all the hoops for their visa.
The cops will know all the necessary info to find the visa holders and where the money is.

although I am in Chiang Rai I may go to CM for a booster is can't get it here soon.
I read a article two days ago that two separate govt funded/operated studies in two countries, not yet peer reviewed, indicate that a Sinovac followed by a Pfizer vaccination offers very very little to NO resistance to Omicron. A booster is recommended .
I would rather not get the Omicron virus infection.

This clears up the reasons that some many Thais are resisting the vacs. The thought of a big payout for having covid , real or a scam with crooked doctors, is too tasty for them to resist.
Was this policy dictated by the govt. to the ins. companies.

and make him pay for all the extra work he caused the Thai police and other Thai agencies in this matter, just like they would for a stay in Thai govt. medical care....what a <deleted> head

So if not a Polli, then who? Father Xmas!
I know this reply is late in the game, however, I feel that like some many laws here this one is because some legislator in order to curry favor with the one who cannot be mentioned , brought it up and all the others thought oh well doesn't affect me and lets not make him lose face by not passing it so what the heck. Same to me as most of the pro royalty nonsense.

It amazes me how many are eager to bad mouth any action the govt. makes. Now we have those on this site saying that the free passport is only good for rich Thais who want to have leisure travel, forgetting that very many Thais travel overseas for employment in many other countries.

Happiness is in yourself, not the reports you site.

It is time for me to burn the plant matter that I have cut during the wet season before it overruns the yard and before this is in effect.
Shame but nothing else for me and all the village folks everywhere to do with the waste from trees, bushes, grasses, etc that must be cut each year.
Perhaps some of the anti burners on here will have a viable solution, but I doubt it.

Thank you for pointing this out. I understand that not all offices are the same so this is just my Chiang Rai experience. I was not awarded sole custody or guardianship in the divorce papers as at the time just not aware of the requirement by local immigration here. Therefore I was not allowed the parent of thai child arrangement . Told to go to the District court and get the guardianship/sole custody awarded to me, even tho the child and i lived together in same house. Thought that going to court would be very expensive and did not want to antagonize the ex., Hope the OP doesn't encounter this headache.

Plenty of shops up my way selling them and scooters now. Big C has them for sale here.
90 yo father in law has a 3 wheeler that the family bought him 2 years ago. I think it cost them 29k baht.
Its still going strong. He rides it out to his farm and back plus to the temple daily. The battery's are still good and they're supposed to last 60 km.
do remember the brand name?

Looking for informed info about where to buy and what is available in good quality in Thailand. Getting one to use for very short, less than 6 kilometers, trips around the village. Am tired of using the motorbike for these errands and backing the car out of the gate and then closing it only to repeat this upon return. Also my thirteen y/o could use it to go to the store and friends houses without asking me to take her each time.
Any knowledge to share??
