Which Boozer is the Best in Bangkok?

Much in what you say, they don't recognise that the days when a lot of their customers were on big expat salaries are long gone. In a sense they are their own worst enemies. -
Which Boozer is the Best in Bangkok?
rott replied to FruitPudding's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The Madrid claims to be the oldest bar in Bangkok and probably is. Lovely bar if it is still going. My other favourite in that area is the Crown Royal in the next Soi, the Crystal Palace there is worth a look too. Don't know how they keep going they were doing nowt before COVID. Their heyday is long gone, people now prefer plastic paddy places and bars with 20 TVs. Not been in BKK for just over a year so I am out of touch. If you get there let us know what's what, I am hoping to do a month over Christmas. Stuck in Pattaya till then. -
They're not all locked up yet.

No it was not an official announcement but it was at least as "definite" as the 15th or 16th January. -

The full announcement says restaurants in 5 provinces may serve alcohol with meals but only lists 4. Never seem to get a straight story.- 257 replies

I think it is a commentary on Scottish football as much as anything. I was surprised to see him go, but from his side he is going out at the top. Following some recent performances the rest of the season does not look to be a walk in the park. If the others had not signed the young Japanese lad...... But they did.

Which Boozer is the Best in Bangkok?

Madrid, the Old Other Office plus the other older bars in Patpong must be visited while they still exist. That's if they do. They are what Bangkok was about. Chequers worth a mention too. Sad too not to see Jools (long time I know) that WAS a boozer. But for most on the list (excluding those with ladies freely available) it is sad to see them associated with Bangkok. Sterile, emasculated places that should be headed Typical Bars from Anytown, Anyland. Not having a go at the OP, it is just part of what has happened to Bangkok. -
Enaka I would be interested to know what these food supplements and vitamins are, and which particular conditions are improved by them. Not the sort of post you were seeking I realise but I hope you feel able to reply.

What countries have you lived in? (Just for fun)
rott replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Simon 43, Northern Cyprus sounds an interesting one I will be looking into it as a plan B if things here become impractical. Depends a lot if there's much liveable, serviced accommodation at Thailand rates and if long stay visas are available. The answer is probably no but it's worth a look. -
Bars, pubs and nightclubs in Thailand could remain closed until 2022

Another of the sanctimonious has his say. Happy in his little world where everyone who likes a drink is an alcoholic, alcohol dependent, whinger or whiner. Carry on lad, be happy telling us how your lifestyle is so superior. -
Thank you for your concern and advice Stubby. Funny you should mention edema I had it on my left foot one time. Looked it up on Google and the advice was to lie with the affected bit raised. I did this for about 4 hours which cleared it up. Never had the problem before or since.

You're doing very well, unless you're only 25. ????

If I ever drank 6 large bottles of anything I would probably be in bed for a week. Never been a Chang drinker anyway. But thank you for your well intentioned contribution. I already take a statin, an omeprazole and an anti-histamine, now with the addition of three a day I was looking at ways of reducing them. I am aware of their health benefits and not really aware of how cheap they are, but just don't like taking pills. Exercise has for a while not been the option it used to be. Never needed pills for most of my life but that was then and this is now.

Just on an initial course of two weeks tablets for the BP (156/88), but seeing that blueberries and strawberries are touted as a quick fix for lowering it. Is this just click bait.? If genuine it sounds interesting but they ain't cheap so how much would you need to get through daily to have any effect.?

No he didn't. Superstitious nonsense.
