One teen killed, two survive, after motorbike hits tree
rott replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Except a 14 year old boy riding a motorbike. Tragic. -
But plenty of Russians, Chinese and Indians do. Slowly, slowly the demographic keeps changing and the CCP won't keep the Chinese out forever. Can't see the "old" Pattaya disappearing just yet, there will still be plenty to attract the likes of us but diminishing. Nobody can see Sois 7 & 8 getting back to what they were and it will be very interesting to see what happens in Soi 6 and Walking St.

Thanks for that lads.

Am I correct in thinking that the Elite Visa still requires 90 day reporting.?

Anyone who has been here over 15 years will probably have a different lifestyle, different attitudes, different opinions and different needs to those at the beginning. I do not personally know anyone who has gone back through choice but I do not doubt that many have. Two people have said to me that the only thing keeping them here is their marriages and that if that finished they would be gone.

Thailand bets on Diwali season & Indians to boost its tourism
rott replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You have personally seen all of the above.? Wow. I have spent 17 of the last 25 years here and have only seen very little of that. And the bulk of those years have been in the farang ghetto in Pattaya, much of that in the formerly disreputable Dog's Bolxxxxs bar. Never seen one murder or one rape. But my point was that in my experience they do not like spending money. Read my post again if you don't believe me. And money is what the Thailand Tourist Council want from them. OK now.? -
Thailand bets on Diwali season & Indians to boost its tourism
rott replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
We have seen Indians staying five in a room booked for one or two, and groups of them haggling with ladies to take all of them for the price of one. Regular events, not extreme examples. If that makes me a racist in your eyes so be it. I won't say what you are in mine. -
Third Rd, top of Soi Chaiyaphum (Soi Chaipoon?) aka Soi Pothole.

American man arrested for rape of massage worker in Khon Kaen
rott replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Isaan News
I've known a few alcoholics and recognise that it is a disease and not self-indulgence, not knowingly had any contact with those others mentioned. -

rott replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Isaan News
Come on Neero just because I criticise alcoholics, drug addicts, English teachers and the like it does not mean I'm criticising you or have low self-esteem. Got to have some pleasure in life, that's all. -
Foreigner wanted for alleged rape of woman at Khon Kaen massage shop
rott replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Yes, come on stop it now, some posting on here find it offensive. ???? -
So ageism is politically correct and acceptable in Nicola's brave new world.

Bye Bye WISE, WESTERN UNION, VISA, etc
rott replied to Neeranam's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
If they were suits then, they would still be suits now. -
To answer the OP, I do not really know. But I do find theology interesting. However I am confused by the Holy Trinity. Christ is God the Son (or alternatively the Son of God) God the Father is Father of the Son. BUT Christ was conceived of the Holy Ghost. I asked a pastor if he could clarify or explain and his reply was no he couldn't and neither could St Augustine, Luther or Calvin. Can anyone here do any better.

I wonder what happened to old Marcus, in 14 months he amassed a content count of 8511 and then disappeared. Not been seen on here for over two years. I hope he's OK.

Good question. -
I thought my post was simple enough, people ( not referring to you) don't read posts properly is the problem. But enough, enjoy the day.
