  1. I finally paid my TOT internet bill today.   I drove over 50 kilometers and spent 2 hours to do it.  I, too, went to TOT Pattaya Klang.  Closed because of Covid19, fair enough.  Even though the government said that telephones essential services.  I made 9 phone calls to the 3 numbers I received on my little paper from the guard who would not let me enter.  In one of the calls, I was told I had to go to TOT Ban Amphoe to pay.  Or I could also go to the CAT office on Pattaya Tai.  The next day I went to CAT and was told I could NOT pay there.  I had to go to Ban Amphoe.  Google Maps gave me the approximate location, but it was on the wrong side of the highway, Sukhumvit.  Asking a couple of places, I finally found it.  It's not visible from the highway, but on one attachment you will see there is a tiny TOT sign.  Only Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.   It's on the side closest to Pattaya from the  of the Ban Ampoe Intersection stoplight.   If you see the KrungThai bank, you've gone too far.  Maybe only 100 meters from the intersection is Soi Na Jomtien 26.

  2. Gary, I am glad you posted this as I have the same problem.   The speedometer bar itself is visible, but not the numbers.   I brought it to Mityon Honda in Pattaya, and was told it needed a NEW SPEEDOMETER assembly.  The "bulbs" are small LED lights on a printed circuit board.  Yes, papa al, an experienced scooter tech might be able to fix, but I think it would require soldering bulbs on a board.   Anyway, I was told I needed a new speedometer.   The cost from Honda:    5,000 baht!!!!    I hope someone has a more reasonable solution.

  3. They said it couldn't be done, but I have a new green book. Duplicate Green Book. Whatever. I brought in a 20-baht lost item report from the police, a copy of my passport, and a copy of one page of my green book...and was charge 155 baht in total. Came back the following day to pick it up. BUT...I was now registered until September of NEXT year. So, 100 baht of that fee was for the next year sticker. Despite driving 45km round trip TWICE to the Land Transport Office, I am happy. I will try to track down the owner of the Vespa Green Book.

  4. I went and handed in everything for my Honda PCX on a Saturday last September. Copy of insurance, green book for PCX, and money. They said come back in an hour. I did not look at what was handed to me. Until a few days ago. I received Daryl Lindsay's green book for a Vespa 125, and his tax emblem.

  5. I went to Big C last September to re-up for my 2559 Tax emblem for the my Honda PCX, and got it all right, but I evidently was handed back the wrong Green Book. I will proceed to the Land Office to try to straighten it out, but if someone in Pattaya with a Vespa also got the wrong book, it might speed up the resolution. It's very possible that we didn't get each other's books, too. But, I thought I would give it a shot. The name of the Vespa green book is Daryl Lindsay.

I just looked at my envelope so I could get ready for the renewal, and found the error.

    Thanks. Send me a message.

  6. I think this Israeli or Lebanese shop used to be right on 3rd road. Very close to where they moved. They are now located on the soil that runs alongside the BIG MITYON MOTORCYCLE STORE which is on the corner of Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya Rd) and 3rd Road. I have been to the new location and bought a few dozen for personal use. VERY good. I can't remember the cost, but cheaper than the groceries.

  7. Two more ideas. Noise canceling earphones work well, I've tried on planes and they really do work well. Outside microphones somehow make the opposite sound to cancel it out. Another, I am finding online, are white noise generators. Many types of music and sounds for meditation, or perhaps to sleep, too. Under Mynoise.

  8. Lots of motorcycle seat shops can make a new seat, or modify your current one...which can drastically alter the height I am tall and have a PCX 150, and changed from a 2-level seat with low front seat, to a 1-level seat that is much higher. I would guess that you can change height by 2-3 inches quite easily.
