Will not be a problem as long as not past the expiration date, the red stamp is only stating Ventianne may not issue you another visa next time.
-
It may not be out of date, perhaps you just need to try a different immigraion office. If that's not possible, I would do a border run and avoid the overstay.
-
No limit on the visa exempt entries, so it shouldn't be a problem if you can make the 30 day or 15 day entries work for you.
Also, if you decided to apply for a 90 day visa, you would be stamped in one time, and would have to apply for a re-entry permit to re-enter Thailand to use the remaining 90 days permission to stay. I think a single entry is 1000 Baht, and a multi is 3800 Baht.
-
How many entries into Thailand do you need to make? A Tourist Visa allows a 60 day upon each entry, with a possible 30 day extension for 1900 Baht. Why not apply for a double entry Tourist Visa. The 30 day entry at the airport, and the land entries of 15 days are "Visa Exempt" entries.

I think he means "Certificate of Deposit", in the U.S. commonly referred to as a "CD". Basically the money is deposited into an account for an agreed upon period, and one is penalized for early withdrawal.

What type of visa do you have now? You could go to Vientiane and apply for a single or double entry Tourist Visa. On a Tourist Visa entry you would be admitted for 60 days, and then get a 30 day extension for 1900 Baht.
-
On what basis would you be extending? Marriage, work??

Can anyone direct me to the retirement visa form (link). OK I know :-) my eyes are "not good" am over the requirement age to retire in Thailand, :-) lol or maybe I just missed it?????

Why not do it this week and get it over with, you don't lose any days. Which new immigration office are you referring to?
-
Unless you have the supporting documents to apply for some other type of visa, apply for a single entry Tourist Visa. That would permit a stay of 60 days upon entry, and could be extended by 30 days within country. If that is not long enough, apply for a double entry Tourist Visa.
-
Your permission to stay would only be canceled if you were on an "Extension of Stay" based on employment. If you were married to a Thai person, you could continue to stay on entries based on the "O" Visa, or apply for an "Extension of Stay" based on the marriage, and your stay would not be affected by your employment status.
-
If you will have proof of income, or funds in the bank for the required period for the extension, apply for a single entry Non-Immi "O" Visa in Australia. Return to Thailand, and with about 30 days remaining on the permission to stay, apply for the one year "Extension of Stay" based on your marriage. Once you have the extension, you do address reports every 90 days, and do not have to exit the country.
-
Most likely he can re-enter by a land crossing and receive a 15 day permission to stay, or 30 days by air. Then go somewhere else and apply for a tourist visa.
-
Single entry means one, 90 day entry if you enter before July 13. For the multiple entry, re-entry permit, the nearest immigration office. The permit will only keep the existing permission to stay valid, it will not extend your stay beyond the 90 day period.

...... and can I get an extension if I am not married to my Thai partner?
Since you are not married to the mother have you legalized the child, are you legally recognized as the father, through the Thai court system?
She may need some documents, but the Op is the mother.

1. The needles that are used are ALWAYS sterile and you are always shown them being taken out of a new air tight packet.
2. What has having a tattoo got to do with working in a bar??........... There are alot of girls, even hi -so girls with tattoos, its called being individual and not following the flock.
If i was her I would be kicking you out for being so petty and small minded about tattooed girls.
Regards
VM
If alot of girls, even hi-so girls are getting tattoos, how is getting one, not following the flock?
-
You could get a new Non "O" Visa, but why not just go to immigration and change the reason for your "Extension of Stay".
-
Also, the Op probably could obtain a double entry Tourist Visa there, good for 60 days each entry, and 30 day extensions within Thailand are possible.

I don't know if these will answer your questions, but these are in the pinned topics section, "Latest Reports Of Getting A Visa In The Region".

Maybe it would be a good idea to contact them directly, they are the ones that make the decision.
I'll just add to this, I don't have experience with NY, but I haven't had problems using copies, scanned documents, etc. at other locations.

Submit the application, and pick up the next day is the usual procedure. There may be some useful information here from the "Latest Reports" pinned topics.

A better organized "must read first" article in the 'pinned section' would go a long way in alleviating carpal tunnel syndrome for many of the regulars here. But, I don't know who's in charge when it comes to this.....I'm a fairly faithful reader of this part of the forum, and I often see people saying that someone should have done a search.
With a better "must read first" explanation of the jargon and many of the known nuances of visas and extensions, a better chastisement for newbies than 'you should have done a search' would be: what was it in the "must read" that you didn't understand? And, actually, where it is confusing, the "must read" could evolve if certain explanations continue to trip-up newbies.
This forum certainly wouldn't dry up. There are just too many quirks amongst all the offices and agencies that deal with visas and extensions. And thus individual experiences to tabulate -- and pass on as 'what to expect' or 'possibly to expect.'
But a comprehensive baseline for newbies to read before they all ask the same questions would seem to be in order.....
I think the pinned topic, "Useful Immigration Information & Visa Descriptions" does a great job of covering most of the items we see posted everyday. But, either some people don't see it, or just can't be bothered to look through it.

Yes, it's been mentiioned a time or two already. They also have been more strict about issuing other types of visas for awhile now.

Actually, it seemed just the opposite to me, most of the new comers I thought, were supportive of the PM and the yellow shirt group.
