I haven't read the thread, but I want tto say what has probably been said already. Everyone is different. There are some good, some bad, Just be careful. You should know what's up. Do what your brains and stomach tell you. Don't get involved too much for awhile.

I was actually thinking of going home. I miss the U.S., but I have it too good here. I loved my city, Philadelphia, and have many memories. I don't think that exists anymore. Living expenses are one thing, but look at what's going on there and elsewhere in the world. I feel "locked up tight. and out of range" here. I think we could survive a nuclear war. I still don't understand what those "terrorists" with hand-grenades were doing here. It seems like a police-state there, and the dollar scares me.

I have to do it soon. If there's a problem, it's about money. Ask how much it costs to make everything ok. Some, not all, don't like us.

I wish I could

I have lived in both Bangkok and Pattaya. Got tired of the pollution mostly (which no one has mentioned so far). Why put yourself in that chemical soup?
Now, 15 km. from Chiang Mai, I found my perfect spot in Thailand.
Is that a bonano (not sure of the spelling) ape? It must be nice where you now live. Though a little slow. I stay Hua Hin, and like it.

I used to go to play golf there every week. However, I haven't been there in years. The last time I was there, an overwhelming wave of (how you say?) paranoia swept over me. It was a very evil vibe.

You must learn to say, "No, you are" in Thai. Mai krap koon a leh. It stops them in their tracks, and they get a stupid look on their face.

I went to Apple's website, and they didn't list any authorized products in Thailand. I'm really just interested in if you get the extended warranty, will it be honored anywhere.
You're right about everything, anywhere, probably was made in China.

I want to buy a new computer, but I believe everything here is a copy made in China. Apple has no authorized stores in Thailand. So what do the Apple stores here sell? I would appreciate any info you may have as to what to get. Thanks.

You.ve had many good suggestions. You must not be sympathetic. If money doesn't work. I suggest telling her you have a new GF who happens to be a ladyboy. Go hire one to come home with you, and scare your ex-GF away.

There was a billboard recently, at a large University, that had Hitler along with some superheroes. The article I read said that the students had no idea who he was or his historical significance. Given that's true, why would they include him on the billboard? This isn't the first such incident I've read about this. Their was another time that he and the Nazi's were celebrated here. At that time, it was explained as a fashion statement. I think I also read recently about something similar in Malaysia or Indochina. Are they anti-semetic? Actually, I don't think they know what that means. What's up?

I'm struggling with this presently. I miss home, but I'm afraid that once I go home, I'll miss it here. It's happened before.
The good about here is that it's cheaper. I'm in my late 60's, and the girls, though pretty, aren't as important as it was before. However, it's still a plus. I feel safe where I am here, and pay half the rent I would pa at home.
The good things about home are it's home. Better medical coverage. Not as prone to be taken advantage of. For some reason, I think I'd feel more comfortable there. The food.
Anyway, I'm giving some serious thought to going home.

But selling bodyparts is easier and bigger money. Mind you, we are not talking BG's here.
What's the difference between a BG selling her body and a massage lady selling her body ?
One can give a massage.

Can you imagine the hysterics that broke out when the bar girls first heard a farang call her mate darling?

I don't believe the women are jealous. They're only afraid you're spending your money on someone else.

Teebaht?
Like any other word, it can mean many things. We (a girl I've known for a long time) were taking motor-bikes in Bangkok, and her driver recognized us. She said he called us teeluk. I took it to mean, by the smile on her face, that it meant my farang ATM.

I wonder what would happen if you tried to take the bottle. I wouldn't. I may have missed it, but where did you see this?

Like anywhere, there's a lot to bitch about. Look at what's going on in the rest of the world. I can accept many things so it's great here. I feel like I'm safe and apart from the rest of the world chaos. No matter what happens with the rest of the world, it won't happen where I am.

I wonder who really had the power. He's too dim to run a hairdryer let alone an aggressive military power. It must have been those shadowy figures who always stood by his shoulder.
Whoever wrote his little speech should be sacked. How on earth could he be prompted to say words to the effect that 'he doesn't 'feel sorry for them' and that they were 'volunteers' in war'? He never did have much in the way of speaking skills, I suppose.
They were basically cannon fodder.I wonder if G.W. will ever face a war crimes trial. Cheney (sp?) called the shots for the military-industrial demons.
I just discovered the RT network here. It's the anti-Fox news channel. I think it's from Russia, but they seem to know what is really going on. It's scary.

It's usually to find people who have smoked yaba or ice. Apparently, the police don't need some indication that someone has done anything wrong. The penalty is whatever the police can get in cash from the guilty.

i'm a pro at closing topics. It's difficult to say "how."

What do you think it's like in the U.K.? There's an enormous bunch of BS waiting for you. There's no comparison.
