Yes indeed. Klong Toey has its fair share of, erm...'distributors'. How do I know? Because I once picked up a taxi in Ploen Chit and he asked if he could stop there to collect something from a market and would turn off the meter, since it was off Rama4 and that is one of the routes you could take to where I was going, I didn't mind as it was late and there wasn't much traffic. 3 or 4 years I think. I remember I went in there once to drink cider and it was about 300 baht a pint, there was loud music being played and it was not very good, no real atmosphere or anything.
