  1. Just stating facts, theres 3 out of 3 people in this thread who has done their extension in BKK and not seen or heard of a TM30.
  2. BKK = Bangkok, clearly im not talking about the airport from the context and BKK has always refered to Bangkok long before swampy ever existed. I was on visa excempt, just stating facts I've never seen or heard of a TM30 at CW or any immigration office in BKK, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakarn yes it was requested pre covid. I have not done a visa extension in BKK since covid purely because issues I had with staff and I can't stand the amount of tourists, this was my first time since then and I observed everyone there was no TM30 in sight or any notifcations / guidelines about it. DOesn't make sense to ask backpackers who have been here for 30 days in some hostel in but<deleted> nowhere to apply for a TM30 thats not stated or taught anywhere when you have 500+ queues everyday and are overloaded. I haven't read the news on visa rules in god knows how long and I've had no issues (apart from one airport deny) being on tourist visas (90% excempt) in the last 7 years with zero TM30s. Yet every thread here on and FB is doom and gloom about getting fined and how you need to make a TM30 everytime you roll over to a different side of the bed.
  3. COsts 200k to get this fixed from a visa agent in Pattaya, a immigration guy drove my friend south from BKK toa deep south border and he had to spend the day taking pictures coming in and out. he had 16 monthres overstay, that was one-two years ago and he's been able to come in several times and hes on a non imm b now through aonther agent.
  4. I went and even asked about a TM30, it's not required in BKK and from my 13 years experince it's never been required nor have i ever done one .... Just a myth the "visa experts" like to bang on about. ALso I made up the address as I've been living in Hua Hin since covid (don't need one there either) and no ones ever batted an eye lid about my real address in BKK.
  5. Can fly into Udon, take a van from airport for 100b to bridge about 45m, theres a shuttle that goes through both sides of the bridge for 10b every 20 mins or so but not sure you're allowed to come back the same day ... Do the Laos e-visa while you're at it to save time, money and passport page. Theres also a van or taxi from Nong Khai bridge to Ubon airport. Don;t need any TM 30 for anything other than extensions at immigration and I haven't used one, ever.
  6. Thanks, haven't been there since covid for good reason.
  7. Whats with the 7 pages of nonsense? You were already given advice that you needed on first page? Whats the big deal? This happened to me last September, I stayed in airport over night in the hotel, flew back to Saigon the next morning with the same airline, vietnam gave me another stamp after Thai BS with passport ... I went to embassy and got a visa, flew into chiang mai and then to BKK. If I couldn't get a visa at embassy I would just try CNX but as this is a new year, just do a border crossing at Laos with 10k funds, a ticket out of thailand and a hotel for the duration of stay .... Easy peazy, the stamp in passport means nothing, I got it in mine and still have a visa. All the documents required for visa and entry are very very simple to obtain and are not double or cross checked.
  8. Anyone been to either recently and wIll they ask for a TM30 for a tourist extension at IT square or Sam Yam? I'm not registered in BKK and I know they don't at Chaeng Wattana but don't want to go there.
  9. Has anyone done this recently? What's the process after boarding the boat of stamping in and out of Burma and how much do you pay them?
  10. No, no bank statements or return flights needed or even a TM7 at BKK last week ... My first airport run of the year, previously 3 land border bounces in a row then covid extensions since 2018/2019. I've been on visa excempt(s) since 2018, I included the previous page which shows a 7 day permission of stay the day after songkhran when immigration opened with 2 day overstay and pushed it to 1 day free day overstay at airport.
  11. Been doing border bounces 13 years straight, never seen a denied stamp let alone on first timer ... Hundreds? Got one I can see?
  12. The comments in this thread are so far from reality, talking about bank balances and exit flights its his first trip what are you all talking about? I just flew into Da Nang a week ago in the morning and flew back to BKK 6 hours later, quick chit chat and I was through I had no exit flight or bank balances on me it took two seconds ... I've been on visa excempt stamps since 2018 and haven't left the country since 2017 apart from border bounces. There is no more TM7 either, it couldn't be eaiser.
  13. I knew of a Syrian family who got caught in Nana, he eventually got caught and grabnted Asylum in turkey ... They were detained untill someone could help pay the bill, best bet is "ending up by magic" into Cambodia or Myanamir.
  14. I've heard the nong khai border bounce is pretty easy and unlimited at the moment, is it possible to just walk out and walk in without checking into laos and using a page / buying a visa? Or are they gonna send me over bridge and back?
  15. I went today, the women who checked the papers on the way in asked where was my copy of my address and I said im only here for a 7 day extension she said no probs then asked what I got up to for Songkhran.... I approached the immigration officer with my extension form and passport copies and said "ต้องการแค่ 7 วันคับ" he nodded and replied "ครับผม" I was in/out within an hour. I also heard an immigration women at counter next to me refer to a tourists visa excempt stamp as "Your Visa".
  16. Is Immigration closed today nationwide Or is it just Div 1 in BKK? Thanks.
  17. It's a very serious question, overstay is pretty serious .... Did you think I was asking questions on here because I was lonely?
  18. I do have a visa it's called visa excempt, everyone in the country has a visa ... Secondly I don't care if its a triangle, square, rectangle, non binary or whatever it is, I submit an extension form and get 7 days to leave, that to normal person is a 7 day extension. I don't have a flight date, I have been here 13 years, maybe another 13 years if you mean when I plan to do a visa? When the holiday traffic and flights calm down. All I wanted to know is would I get overstay or not going to immigration when it opens up after the holiday, not about my travel plans and yes overstay will effect my P.E visa application if I decide to do one so I wolud rather avoid it if possible. However, after my 30th birthday a couple years ago I stopped giving a <deleted> about immigration, thai visas requirements and the related nonsense in this country. Infact I have been on tourist visa for about 7 years in a row and was regularly getting away with it at immigration because well you know, they are a bunch of rude pencile pushers in a police uniform. Thank you for answering the question.
  19. Just a bunch of people talking about what the stamps called, I don't care, it's 7 days and thats all .... I want to know if my visa expired yesterday and I go for the 7 day extension will i get overstay or not, because if it was a 30 day extension I wouln't. I don't know why its so hard to get a simple answer, instead theres 10 posts with people talking about the correct name for a stamp and how I should I do a border run which doesn't mean anything. Overstay within 6 monthes effects long term visas, nothing strange about it.
  20. So if my visa expired today on 16th and I go to Immigration tomorrow when it opens and get denied and 7 days to leave stamp, I don't get the 1 day overstay correct? Thats all I wanted to know. I'm not doing a border bounce from Hua Hin in the middle of Songkhran, so who cares if have to pay 1900baht for 7 days ... there are no flights either, I don't konw who would do that during holidays to save 1900baht, I don't want overstay it effects my longer visas.
  21. I'm on visa excempt (45d) from a border run plus a 30 day extension on top of that and my visa expires tomorrow on 16th .. Is it still possible to pay 1900b at immigration on Monday and get 7 days? If so would I get overstay or is it treated like a normal extension and if immigration is closed on the expiry date you can avoid the overstay?
