A most pernicious tax orginally introduced by William Harcourt to target the rich. Best thing to do is open up an offshore company and place the assets there. (Depending on the value of the said assets)

So you didn't have to use your passport? Which office did you go to.?

Well I suppose money and fame are not enough for some people. The desire to act out paedophilic fantasy is strong in some folk. I wish him all the best in Thai prison, maybe he can get a GoFundMe page?
It's not a pedophilic fantasy, I don't wish to defend the teachers actions; due to the fact that he was in a position of responsibility which he abused. My father married mother at the age of 16.

Each Amphur office should provide a fund for locals to euthanise these stray and dangerous dogs.

Let him fail in his task, if he were really concerned about improving this country rather than following a woke globalist agenda; he would stick to amending the general libel laws. Too many citizens of this country are stiffled from speaking out when they see corruption and genearl malpractise.
This change coupled with a reform of the judiciary and the police would result in an organic change in this country that would prove to be unstoppable. Going about like a bull in China shop will rightly exclude him from the P.M position.

I know what the status, a source has checked it. The visa has not been issued.

It's a company, and I have a British passport. Yes, it should have been done months ago, but wasn't due to my faith in the agent for having done extentions for me for 5 years without an issue including marriage visas. Along with the constant assurances that it would be done.
I did go to the company and got no joy and the police have been there too and will be going back again on 31st.

I need to some advise re an ongoing situation concerning my passport that has been going on for 11 months. An agent whom I had previously dealt with successfuly for 5 years and whom I returned to after an interval of 4 years who has failed to live up to her promises. A conversion from a non B WP to a non immigrant O marriage has failed to materialise after repeated promises that it is in hand and various excuses about the delay.
To cut a long story short I went to the police just over a month ago and explained the situation and was advised to place a notice on door of the agent's premises laying a out a deadline. When this failed to bring about a result the matter was officialy registered with the police and on a subsequent visit to the agent they set a deadline which is coming up in the next few days.
Can anyone advise on the legal position re dealing with immigration with a police report in hand and what the procedure is to get a replacement passport? Thanks

"He said the agency wants to introduce an identity card for expats, helping to distinguish them from tourists so they will be charged the same price as locals"
Don't overcomplicate it, just ask for passport if they must
I've often shown my pink I.D card, to no avail.

Yeah, I would have it buffed out first *and maybe detailed) and see where you're at.
Getting it shiny will help find any dents and dings as well.
Do you want to change the color?
I'd love to have it British Racing Green, but will stick with the current colour due to expense.

Thanks for the replies, I am in north Bangkok, the paint work is just a little dull from the sun, and there the odd nicks from a few small stones on the bonnet. There is no rust.

I have a black Honda Civic that I would like to know how much it would cost to have a bare metal respray? Also a non bare metal respray? Any recommendations as to where it can be done? Thanks to all in advance.

The S8 series was released by Samsung. As usual here Samsung have decided to release the low spec models, so for example the Ultra is only released here in 8GB 128GB when there is a 12GB/256GB and a 512/16GB. I would like to know if it is possible to import one of the higher end models? Second question other than MBK where is a good place to buy a tab?

I will probably have to end up using an agent due to not being able to meet the time requirement.

You want a Non-O Visa (90 days) or a 1 year extension of your permission to stay based upon marriage ?
One year extension based on marriage.

I am coming off a WP in a couple of months, and want to know if I can convert to a non immigrant O marriage visa without leaving the country? Would this be more easily facilitated by an agent and if so does anyone have an approximate figure for such a service? Thanks in advance for replies.

You could try giving these guys a call to compare prices. They give a 5 year warranty and deliver throughout Thailand:
PianoCenter.Co.Th Piano Center – center of high quality secondhand pianos imported
Thanks, I went there last week. They only had C3 and don't do C7'S or C6's. I am going to have to import because there is only once place in Thailand were I have seen a second hand C7 and it was overpriced for what it was.

It is very difficult to classify a piano as anything other than a piano, and the Thai integrated tariff database has a section for pianos: HS92.01
The section is divided into 9201.10.00 upright pianos, 9201.20.00 grand pianos and 92.01.90.00 for items such as harpsichords. The only discussion after this is the rate of duty, which is calculated based on the country of origin.
For example, there is no duty to be paid on a piano imported from ASEAN, but 10 per cent duty on imports from some other countries.
It pays you to be aware of the HS code of the item you are importing and the correct rate of duty payable.
My own experience has been that Thai customs have always correctly assessed the goods I have imported, however I think part of that is the customs agent is aware that I know the exact HS code and tariff for every item in the consignment.
It pays to do your homework and help yourself, because a wrong assessment can cost you dearly if you do not spot it.
That's very interesting information about ASEAN and not having to pay duty, I just wonder if Yamaha Malaysia and Singapore have a better range of pianos than Yamaha Thailand. Thanks for the information.
