  1. Hello

Have read a few posts regarding the difficulty and cost of importing a car into Thailand. All looks to be very true sadly. However, last i heard, from a friend in Thai, is that if you are able to put the car into your spouse's name and she/he lives in the country where the vehicle is registered for a certain period of time (maybe 1 year, or 18 months) then you might be able to bring the car into thailand (in her/his name) without having to pay any tax.. This might not be true but would be grateful if anyone could shed some more light...

  2. I noticed on one2car they are selling new X's, apparently they are about 2.2M

About 4.2M to regret. For 2.2M I'd buy immediately

ps. grant, in hindsight, i think the evo step 7 was a copy. For the same price i think u could get a lot better one than that. There are a lot of evo's on the market now. There's a very tidy grey one on talladrot that i was gonna check out for 850, but didn't bother because i got the 8

I don't want to buy EVO anymore.

Will still use my modified Civic with 230HP n/a under the hood

  3. hey grant

yeah, it was the white one, do u have any stats on it?

No really, but I was thinking about that car for myself. I like the conditions of that car.

In yr previous post u said they cut a cedia in half and imported it. Given the availability of cedia shells here, i don't understand why the would cut one in half and import it.

They bring EVO's cut in jalf and then build them using body and doc's from local Cedia

  4. I just looked at the new Camry model marketed in US

    New body,many emhancements;see here http://www.toyota.com/camry/photo-gallery.html

But I fear we will have to wait a lot as Toyota just launched her the Hybrid with the "old" body.

Camry in US and Camry in Thailand are different.

There is no new Camry in US - just face-lifting

And Camry in Thailand jast has a face-lifting also

  5. Honda couldn't even find market for much cheaper Civic TypeR, even if shared with Australia. Those racers just don't exist in any significant numbers.

Usually Honda didn't sell Type R JDM around the world.

But the last model FD2R they start to sell in Malaysia and Singapore. The price is about 2M baht

But in in Thailand it wil cost more than 3M and the young guys would prefer for that amount Evo or STI wich is much faster and powerful then Type R
