  1. My 2006 civic 2liter I used to drive 220KPH every week on the BangNa Trat highway, just couldnt help myself.

I think you will find your gauge is overreading at such speeds. I have a 2.0, previous model, and it's theoretical top speed is 208km/h. Never have had it to that speed, just 180km/h, but 208 is entirely believable.

Normal built in tolerance is about 10 up to 15 km. Expensive cars like BMW, Mercedes have more accurate readings and tolerance about 3 to 4 km, cheapers cars have more tolerance. Believe me I tested it al.

Civic 2.0 (K20Z2) maximum speed is 227 km/h on gauge and 219 km/h by GPS

    Civic 2.0 (K20A) - 260 km/h on gauge and 252 km/h by GPS

  2. Actually its more like 287% tax. But since its very old, there is a deduction. 5 years old is 55% deduction. the tax wont be the problem. Emission will

  3. Hi Philip,

a turbo kit installation is very simple job

Yes, but the problem is tuning of Honda ECU - not that easy and here is no specialist for that.

I take my ECU to Malaysia to remove speed limiter - simple operation but nobody in Bangkok can do it

For K20Z2 I'd go to install supercharger in Singapoore

BTW my last graph from dyno:

  4. is it not possible to get a turbo for it, or do i need new pistons etc for that?

There is no turbo-kit for this engine. The only solution is supercharger.

But the ECU tuning is always headache and nobody can do it here.

I believe that turbo can be installed but it's just a toy without pistons, camshafts etc changing.

And you'll still have auto gearbox anyway.

My opinion: just replace air-filter (by K&N), exhaust system (by HKS), spark plug(irridium by HKS) and your engine will work smoother. I can suggest some shop for that.

Some power can be added with cat-back removing.

  5. i have a civic 2.0i vtec 2007. what are my options to tune this engine to let say 250hp, or am i better of with a engine swap?

And approx how much will it cost?

    1. Supercharger - 50-70HP

But nobody install it yet here and here is no specialist for that

There is one guy in Singapore who can do it: http://www.mkracing.com.sg/

    Cost about 100,000 baht

    2. Engine swap. K20A from Type R JDM - 225 HP + 15-20HP with intake and exhaust mod

I've just done two months ago.

It take 6 months - 3 months for shipment and customs troubles and another 3 months for conversion

    Cost 300-400,000 baht

With that budget you can go for Subaru WRX
