Decades ago, when I was still young, I started to learn Thai language but using roman alphabetic letters.

I sent several letters to my Thai friends in Thai language but using roman alphabetic letters.

My Thai friends couldn’t understand what I wrote about because they hadn’t gotten used to Thai language using roman alphabetic letters.

It didn’t work at all. This incidence caused me to take the plunge of learning Thai scripts.

My understanding about your posting is as follows;

(ru kon dang dao bap kon Yipun) is difficult for me to understand.

รู้คน dang dao bap คนญี่ปุ่น ?

Does anybody know the correct Thai scripts for farang (foreigners)?

I put a Thai word of farang ฝรั่ง (kind of Thai fruit) instead, I’m sure this is not right one.

It’s not in my dictionary.

Recently, I took the plunge of reading Thai newspapers such as Thairat, Daily News and so on.

It seems to me that it is almost impossible to read them by my reading skill.

If I am lucky, I can find easier column to read.

If I do not have my handmade Thai-Japanese dictionary, I cannot read them at all.

Unlike before, everything is a little bit difficult to understand.

If you read newspapers, you can find out different expressions (opposite direction) to the same issue by the Nations and the Bangkok Post.

I feel a little bit uncomfortable nowadays being filled with confusion and misunderstanding in the land.

I don’t think Thai economy is not such bad but I still cannot understand the way (direction) to proceed.

Thank you very much for your kind suggestion.

I’ve used to type Thai scripts by blind touch method so without looking at keyboard, I can type. It is good for me, not stressful at all and not tired of. My secret for typewriting is that I use Japanese IME to input Thai scripts into my notebook. I just type Roman alphabetic letters and PC automatically changes into Thai scripts, otherwise I have to watch on my keyboard all the time I type.

ความหมายว่า is my type mistake, it should be ความหมาย:,when I type just after I type อ่านว่า, my finger almost automatically typed as ความหมายว่า. There is not such Thai phrase as ความหมายว่า. Sorry.

ประชาธิปไตยของเมืองไทยหายไปไหนแล้วล่ะครับ? is the closest expression to what I would like to express.

This phrase is not from the dictionary but my original sentence.

As for capitalism I could only find out ลัทธินายทุน.

Cause of the mistranslation is that I’ve read the word ชาวเขา as ชาวเข้า.

ชาวเขา stands for hill tribe and hill tribe people speak different language from Thai.
