  1. I have no idea of the locations of motorcycle shops in Bangkok.

Are they grouped next to each other , or is there an easy way to locate them.

An area i should look for example. Sky train stop Or Bus station terminal, Morcit ,Ekkamai or Sth.

I am looking for a large motorcycle must have the all important green book and be legal for Thailand.

Honda CB750 or Steed 600cc, Kawa Zephyr 650,750,900. just to name a few.

Not the cafe racer style of sports bike.

    Any help would be great.

Recomendations good and bad dealers as well

Here are a couple of them.

    Red Baron

    Siam Superbike

    Dr. B

I lost the thread recently with Siam Superbike. Is Peter back trading again ?

  2. I read the first post and thought . . I'm not sure what this is about. But I persevered. I've now read the entire thread, and I still don't have a clue what it is we're debating.

I know I can be a bit of a dunce at times. Can someone give me an overview please cos I'm really confused.

I was about to post the same reply. I've ran through this for about 20 mins now but the original post was lacking in any depth (a bit like this really!) now the threads gone off completly now ranting on about doctors working in Canada etc.

Let's face it, we are looked at as walking ATM'S fair game to be plundered at every available opportunity, from the working girls to the geezer who runs the corner shop. :o

  3. Has anyone gone for the O-A Visa extension at Kanchanburi?

I've heard there are English-speaking Immigration Officers there and it's closer than Suan Plu for me.

    Cheers,

    BM

I havent done an extension there myself yet but I know a couple of guys who have and they say it was all very painless.

I have only ever talked with one of the female officers there and her English was excellent.

A couple of my mates have mentioned this lady at the immigration office & have got nothing but good things to say about her. For a visa run close to Kan...forget it. It's either Ranong , Mae Sot or some guys there do the Mukdhan run up to Laos..a decent run but they claim is efficient & quite painless up there

  4. Okay what's the difference in them all? What do all the letters stand for?

I guess i is for fuel injection.

Go to the dealer & ask them !! If your thinking of buying one what will you use it for? Just kicking around town I should imagine any will do. My missus has a wave 100cc & is the perfect little run around but I wouldn't go any long distance on it (personally speaking) although many have if you check various threads throughout this site.

  5. My partner bought a 2007 Phantom 200 about six months ago and is very pleased. It holds up very well, no problems. I rode it once and thought, "Yep, it's a chopper." I prefer my CBR150, and haven't ridden the Phantom since, except on the pillion.

What was you expecting it to be ? The CBR 150 is also an excellant bike but I wouldn't compare the two though.

  6. 70,000 taxis in bkk!

    Yeh...& all on Sukumvit Soi 3 !!

So what's the crack then? Did you leave your wallet in it or something?? :o

no i didnt leave anything in the taxi.. its just that here in the manila honda doesnt allow their cars to be used as a taxi,, something to do with the prestige slogan... and i think its the same for bangkok i think... read it somewhere.. so i was just really surprised to see this taxi in thailand.. now i have had second thoughts as to whether it was a civic or not but i was pretty sure it was colour light blue.... so it had to be a taxi....

Seen Izuzu's kicking about (Not Song Taew's) like people carriers but that's going off thread but what the hel_l

  7. I had a 150CC Phantom that was slightly older (about 2yr or so) which was a kick start. I found it a very reliable bike & I've since moved up the CC ladder now on my 4th bike. I've since come to regret letting the Phantom go
The older ones were 2 stroke and went like he ll !

Agreed !!! Mike , on the GT site is there any info on a good GPS system ? I'm looking to stick one on my CB 750 but am unsure which is the best or should I say practical..by the way, great picture of the "Harley" !!!

  8. Weho - Mr. Rosner admits that he is you and you is he so you give it a rest. Or is it that you and he should give it a rest. Mr. Rosner is confused by himself (Weho). ###### it is too bad Burger King is still open at this hour. Hey Weho - Mr. Rosner is hungry - let's go.

    Coming?

    Mr. Rosner,

Keep away from the dodgy burger outlet....they are obviously setting you up with some "Carribean veggie"

    Not going !! :o
