  1. !! 8 M THB ONLY !!

Very big house (2x250 sqm) on a 2000 sqm (1 rai, 1 ngan) land, with swimming pool and a house for guests, surrounded by a nice garden in a very quiet and safe area, near Nakhon Chaisi, about 1 hour drive west of Bangkok.

The main house is partly furnished witrh 4 bedrooms, 1 office, 1 maidroom, 1 big living room, a fully-equipped European kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 with jet-booth), 1 laundry and 1 workshop.

The house for guests has a fully-furnished bedroom for 2 people, a european bathroom and an area upstairs that can accomodate 4-5 people. There is also a sauna room beside the swimming pool.

We are a French/Thai family and have built this house in 2003 and moved-in in 2004. It is in good condition, we refresh the woodstain every two years and the paintings every five years. The swimming pool is very well maintained by our gardener.

As we are now living in Chiang Mai and we have no plans to come back, we have decided to sell it. We do not seek any profit and we are ready to discuss a reasonable price with a credible buyer.

We are also ready to study any long-term rental solution with someone who wants to develop a Homestay business with a limited investment.

Please contact by PM or e-mail (see attachment)

  2. Maybe it depends on the grade/level/year/class.
My youngest daughter is in EP6 (grade 6), tomorrow and Thursday day off, Friday last day of school with some exams in the morning.
My eldest is in M2EP (grade 8), tomorrow exams, Wednseday off, Thursday and Friday exams. Friday last day of school.
Both have received the schedules 10 days ago.

  3. Hello everyone,

Does someone have any experience with this summer camp ?

I plan to send my 14-years old daugter who is French/Thai (or Thai/French - according to the weather smile.png ) .

My goal is to give her a first "boarding" experience. Her English is already excellent (better than her French), so the teaching part is less important, but I would avoid her to have a bad experience, for example beeing the only teenage with 100 small kids, etc.

I've read some good comments about the Khao Yai facilities, but I would appreciate to have a feedback about the summer camp itself.

    Many thanks in advance

  4. Hi,

The machine itself is not much more expensive than in Europe.

The problem will be the products. You can find Finish products at Rimping (tablets, salt, etc.) for about 2x the european price and Amazon doesn't deliver these products in Thailand.

Be prepared to ask some friends to carry them in their luggage smile.png

  5. Hi Lawrence,

Have a look at Nic's restaurant (www dot nics dot asia)

It's on the road headng west (3044) between Hang Dong road (108) and canal road (121).

They have "birthday packages" for kids and an amazing playground

  6. im interested in having some double glazing, were is global house please, and why were at it windsors as well thank you.

The WIndsor showroom is on the third ring road, at the intersection with the road 1001.

If you drive from Meechock Plaza on road 1001 heading north, turn right on road 121, the showroom is on your right side.

  7. Hi all,

Does someone have any experience with Windsor uPVC doors and windows?

I'm planning to change all alu-framed w&d at our house and I've asked Windsor and an other company (the one on the 2nd ring road, driving to the West after the underpass of Hangdong road) for a quote.

The Windsor measuring team came to our house and looked very professional. They seem to know their job.

The others, well.... a mix of Mr Bean and Laurel&Hardy blink.png

I've seen other topics in the "Do it yourself" forum, but I would like to hear some real experience.

I could find some topics in the CM forum about PVC WIndows 2 months ago. But it seems they have disappeared?

Are there other reliable uPVC suppliers in CM?

    Thanks for your answers

  8. Hi,

We have moved (my thai wife, our children and myself) from Bangkok to Chiang Mai last year.

I asked Bangkok immigration if I need to do something special. The answser was no. I just need to write my new address on my next 90-days report.

So, I did my first 90-days report to CM-Immigration by mail and the first time I've been to the office was for my visa extension (based on marriage). They just needed to see our rental contract.

  9. Hello,

I was also looking for this doll.

I had found an "on-line" shop in Chiang Mai, I called them to ask if I can see the dolls, but they didn't have any in stock. The ask for 50% deposit and order them in Bangkok. Expected delivery time 2 weeks.

With all scams, chinese copies, etc., I finally ordered it on Amazon and received it 10 days later.

  10. Hi Thaillsacien, They have an advance booking system at CNX immigration, just check beginning of this forum, can book 100days in advance, just booked my place for end April ,last night.

    regards Worgeordie

Thanks, I know the system and I've used it last year, just after they introduced the "1/2-hours" slots smile.png

But the one they had in Soi Suan Plue was even better: you could send all the requested documents for a pre-check several weeks before the day of appointment.

  11. After 8 years in Bangkok, my thai family and myself moved to Chiang Mai last year. That's exactly the feeling I had when I first went to the immigration office: very dedicated and helpful officers, but completely outdated facilities.

It remembers me the infamous Soi Suan Plue immigration. Just before they moved to Chaeng Wattana, some young officers had set up a kind of "on-line visa extension". This was really great. You could make an appointment online for the one-year visa extension and send all scanned documents by Internet for having them checked.

A few days later, an officer called us back to confirm the appointment and asked us to bring the original document and one more that was missing. They even sent the filled form by e-mail with an appointment number !!

Unfortunately, it looks like some "old-style-bureaucraty" officers didn't like this little worklflow revolution and this service has been suspended after a couple of months.

  12. Hi all,

I plan to drive from Nakhon Sawan to Bangkok during the weekend (yes, I know...)

According to this very useful map: http://tinyurl.com/5tu6c58 this should be possible by following road 1/32 (Asia Highway) to Ang Thong, then road 309 and finally road 347 until ring road 9 where I can catch the expressway.

Is anybody living in the area who could confirm that these road are passable for a pick-up?

    Many thanks for your answers
