I have tried meltique, it does melt in your mouth like wagyu but does not taste like wagyu. would not eat it again.
it could be meltique beef, artificially marbled aussie beef.
Have you tried meltique? I just googled it and it looks interesting but I'm skeptical. Would appreciate any firsthand accounts.

BKK-SYD, you are stuck with 747's with mostly older style biz class. If you fly BKK-MEL, you will fly the brand new A340-600's with great seats & interior. Then you slum it on Jetstar or Virgin blue to SYD
Aplogies for getting all Hi-So on everyone, but does the BKK-SYD route have flatbed sleepers in Business these days? Flying overnight down and late afternoon back up. Have heard mixed reports. -
The Thais dont get Kenyan animals. In other news the Aussies don't get Thai elephants.
Great?

He has almost $2Billion in loose change he has to spend it somewhere before inflations eats it up.
The man sure has peace of mind with all these crazy projects going on while he's already under fire. -
I think Thai farmers have done ok without major subsidies. European farmers only survive through subsidies, without this subsidies & other tariff barriers they could not compete with asian & african producers.
It's time Thai exporters started to learn how to compete in a globalizing world... Still not capable of standing on their own feet -
Their is no infringement of "Grammy" trademark in Thailand. The recording academy in the US didn't bother to protect the name in Thailand.
I always found it ironic that Grammy, the Thai company's name, itself infringes on what is actually a registered trademark of the Recording Academy in the USA which organises and awards the music awards known as "The Grammys".With that incredible hypocracy in play, I find it difficult to find any sympathy at all for their position on copyright violation. And I even work in the media industry.

You might not fly ever again, all airlines worldwide have such incidents. The pilots handled it well, everyone is OK!
Hmmm gives you second thoughts about flying TG. -
I tried this a few months back at maccas silom, no breakfast menu. I only went into maccas, because it was a monday morning, no street vendors.
if so which stores as i went to one in silom road at 8am on a weekend and it had the normal lunch menu instead of a breakfast menu. -
I don't know, but if you go back to Adam & Eve that could explain it
Africans tend to be "bigger" than their Asian cousins. How come i dont know African are Asian Cousins???
What makes Asian cousin of Africans ?

I was in a similar situation when I was in BKK a few months back. Bangkok Bank told me it would take a month to clear my aussie cheque. I mailed the cheque back to Australia to a friend, who then deposited the cheque to my account at my bank. I accessed the cash later using my debit card.
I just got a check for a few hundred dollars from a US bank. I tried to deposit it in my savings account at UOB today and was told it would cost $30 and take a month.Does anyone know of any better options?I have an account at Bangkok Bank too, but I can't see them being any better.
TIA

Never had any problems in asia or australia though.

Bluebear, I differ with you.
The emphasis on native english speakers is part of the problem. They should emphasise on qualifed teachers. Bachelor of Teaching degree, and government endorsed professional english teaching certification(teaching license of sorts)
Speaking english does not mean you can teach it, most native speakers unless qualified cannot teach grammer properly. It get really technical when you have to explain tenses, punctuation.......... plus most native speakers still speak a sub-set of english with its unique regional variations.....american english, oz english, saffa english, singlish
....Don't you think that the students will learn better if they are taught by native Thais?? Some teachers are from UK, some from US, some from Australia and some from some other country, all having completely different accents!! How do one expects to learn with such a confusing environment?......
How many English teachers can speak or even know basic communication in Thai? And how do they (non Thai speaking teachers) expect to teach students English? Somebody gave the example of Indians/Phillipinos/Africans having better English, the difference is that instead of teaching the accent they emphasised on teaching the language itself. Accent can be corrected once you know the language. And there are so many accents in English these days that its no more relevant......
To the 1st point Thats how the thai english is such a mess it is at the moment. It was left to soley thai teachers who "spoke" english
2nd point
As others have said the native language is genreally not used by the teacher in the classroom. Why when you only have 1 hour ( or 2 or 3.... ) in a week do you waste that time by speaking in the native tongue that they hear the other 167 hours?
Also If you want to learn a language you go to the original source. Think of it like copy a recording on a tape, after a while the tape is unintelligible.
Who would you like to learn French from - a frenchman or a quebecois or a cajun?
Same with English. Learn from those countries where it is the national / legal / majority / spoken at home language. Not Indian / Phillipines / Malaysia etc.
I am not saying that there are good teachers only from UK / NZ / US etc etc and there are only bad ones from the rest of the world but the best teachers are at the end of the day native language speakers.

Thailand has Asian neighbours that speak english. It would be cheaper to recruit a Indian, Malaysian, Filipino, Singaporean with a bachelor degree in teaching English.
The ministry of Education here could coordinate with western uni's training english teachers, could send their students to do the practical teaching course component here. Many students would jump at the chance to come over for a semester to get course credits & have a holiday, plus you would not have to pay the students.

Might of known it would have been blamed on a farang.
Hey Dave a farang is exclusively a white European. Ya live and learn
hey doc What planet are you on?? you mean to say that americans or canadian are not considered as farangs??? even negro's are called farang.
as you said you live and you learn
I ( unlike you ) am here on THIS planet. Americans and Canadians of the white variety are considered as Europeans. African's are NOT farangs. Wake up sunshine .... ask about.
White foreigners are Farangs. Black foreigners are Negroes.
I thought it was "farang dum"
