  1. Those black man really make their race shameful.

No shame for African's here, its only two of them. Their are hundreds of millions of law-abiding Africans globally.

Its amazing how people get taken in by this get rich quick scams, this scams would not exist if greed and willing victims were in short supply.

You have Nigerian email banned from sending to your mail address. Or maybe you drink or take drugs.

Dr PP, I've received my fair share of 419 emails from Nigerians. But most Nigerians I know are people like you & me, just getting on with life legitimately.

  3. Thai Airforce 21 Picture

Its a beautiful plane, Airbus A319 Corporate Jet.  It belongs to the RTAF , not the PM.  What is all the fuss about ?

It has an ordinary Thai civil aircraft registration ... NOT a RTAF service registration

I responded to this in a post above, but here again is a possible explanation.

The A319 CJ , seems to have two rego designations(civilian & military) HS-TYR & 60221 (look at the rudder)

It is the same with the other Airbus A310 executive transport, Picture

Which has the civilian & military rego HS-TYQ & 44-444 (on the rudder)

It has a civilian registration HS-TYR. However a Google of the rego comes up with a few pages, one of which claims it belongs to Thai Air Force, but why the civial rego?

  5. The Thai PM usually flies in a RTAF Airbus A310-300 (Photo)

To be fair, if indeed a new plane was being acquired it would be for the Airforce to use as executive transport for the PM. It is not his personal property and will therefore be used by future heads of government.

  6. I'm east african, though having not spent much time in LOS, I was there for a few weeks in earlier this year. I had no problems being black, you might get the odd stares from people, but thats about it.

Strange stuff happens though, at Ayuthaya (sp!) , some thai girls asked my thai gf if they could take some photos with me, dont know why ( i'm no celebrity )

Also went to this pub called scudo (cant remember where it is), just thai's only no foreigners, kinda intimidating at first walking in, had a great time there. Most other pubs/clubs i went to had plenty of foreigners

  7. I am a 747 & 777 mechanic and all of us are sworn to secrecy to the FAA and to the safety of the public.

    DaveYo

I'm just curious what so sensitive in the design of civilian aircraft that requires secrecy ? How is the secrecy protected in regions beyond FAA jurisdiction ? Does airbus also have the same provisions ? I've been an aviation enthusiast for a while but not heard of this.

    cheers

  8. MH(Malaysian) & SQ(Singapore) cheapest options from Oz , the service on both airlines is great.

EK(Emirates) & CX(Cathay Pacific) are also great for service & inflight entertainment.

I dont fly QF(Qantas) service sucks , TG(Thai) business class is ancient, no PTV , jus the video walkman if you request it.

  9. Someone told me that "Asian genes" tend to dominate over "Caucasian genes" (in the same way that genes for brown eyes will dominate genes for blue eyes). Has anyone noticed this in mixed race kids (especially Caucasian father, Thai mother) - is it generally true that such kids will look "more asian" or is that a myth?

I don't think their is a definate rule on how a mixed race child will look like. I knew two brothers african-japanese , one looked more japanese , the other more african. its hard to tell

  10. This is a scare story to try and worry people into thinking the police have the capability to do what they claim.

Anyone computer literate person knows that this statement is complete and utter bolox.

Police have ways to screen and stop wagering over the Internet but will not reveal them for fear of alerting the racketeers, he said.

Slim its actually very easy to monitor internet traffic, if the police techies are given access to ISP traffic & logs. I'm not sure what provisions the law in Thailand has on these sort of "wire-tapping"

Police could combine intelligence from officers on the ground and corroborate it with internet traffic logs to obtain a conviction

  11. • Burmese, Laotians, Vietnamese, Cambodians and Africans: 25,000 baht (20,000 baht).

25,000 for the brothas , does that mean employers will want me because i'm cheap :o:D

From my perspective 25,000 seems like a really low wage that would afford you a really basic existence, I have not spent much time in Thailand so i can't really know. But the few weeks I spent there this year 25k didnt go very far. I will be probably coming to work for a large auto group next year, i hope they dont give me the minimum.

  12. I am going to be controversial here... rugby leage is soooo unentertaining.

Granted I am a Melbournian at heart, but I love playing touch rugby and I love union, but something about league which just doesn't do it for me!!

Anyway, bus stop in Soi 4 is a decent place to watch the game, if you can get a seat.

    I await being flamed........

I'm with you Samran , league is dumb down version of union. Union is quite complex requiring a combination of smarts & brute strength. You need great fowards in scrums, lineouts, rucks & mauls. Good scrum-half fly-half connection. Centres with great attacking and defensive skills. The wings and the full-back also need to work well. Probably the most important the loose fowards/flankers to provide cover defense and secure loose ball at breakdowns.

    Its all quite complex
