from my own experience, students inthai school have a very tight friendship among their fellow students like myself and my mates...after finishing highschool ,for about 10 years now, we still go out for a few pints every week. well, of course,only ones who re in bkk.. others in the country, we talk so often and every time they re here, we usually go for a big binge which is quite often as well...

just recently, one of the lads got married in Hua Hin, it s about 20 of us there.. we had the best time...

what i m trying to say is, if you want your kid to pursuit his/her education here, i would say 'go for the gov one' cos he/she will have a very good connection in the future and good mates are hard to find...!! you might not see how it s relevant with this threads but according to my experience again, my uncle makes millions but he told my mum one day that he doesn't really have a true friend..and he s not happy about it.. cos he studied in overseas since he was 14.. when he just came back here he said it was miserable cos there was no friends..so he missied all the experiences that i had and he regretted it..

don't know about international schools though..!!!

if anyone who has an experience of Ipoh, please advise...any input would be helpful...

if the lady s family is in a decent manner, all the dowry will be given back to a couple anyway..i ve seen it all the time as i m a thai chap..but every now and again, i got to see families who took all the dowry.. which always amazed me, how much they like their daughther to be married or to have that dowry themself..but, hey, if the girl s family s poor, you ve got to help them out more or less

sbk, yes you re right they re more straight forward than me...and they have more opportunities as well.. them beach boys are waiters and it s much more subtle for them to make a move...

anyway, not that i blame them or myself....i wish i could say good on them but i don't...it happened to me a few times when i had an eye on the same lass as they did.. they always got shirty and some occasions they just didn't want to serve me...

to be honest, sbk, i wouldn't mind a fling with them beachy girls at all..but of course,only if i meet one who re pretty much with it...not all over the place like i usually met....and another thing, they must not wear fisherman pants at all time!!!! lol....

actually boo, just went to koh phagan last month with my mate and his missus from the highland.. he is an old mate of mine and that was the first time i met his missus..

so, we either spent time catching up or drank shitloads of beers... i totally forgot that i need to score as well.. i just realised when i was about to leave the island.. bugger me dead!!!!, haven't got a root, yet!!! i was a real hopeless git, wasn't it???

i also reckon those farang girls in the islands don't like city boy like me.. i think they d prefer long haired brawny, ugly and dark mucks like them common beachboys. otherwise they d go for their own kinds. what d you reckon?

wow... really?? it s must be very good then.. don't have to go down to Satun anymore...we actually thinking of going to langkawi before new year s eve, so if anyone could recommend a good place to say, it would be great.. not a fancy one though....

don't think you need a visa to malaysia anyway?? for us, thai can stay there for a month without a visa.. and for most of you guys,us citizens and citizens of commonwealth, i think you can stay up to 3 months without it...

well, frenchfarangbkk, how about meet up with a thai chap like me instead then??? what would you say?? something different, eh?

as supersurch said, i do agree with you...i don't think farang women hairy at all. well, some of them might be quite hairy but from my experience, i don't really mind it that much...

well to be honest SBK, i ve got no idea.. i guess they re more attractive to me since i was in overseas for a while....don't really know....if i could choose ginger haired with freckles is my favourite.. but it s a rare case here...

got to keep looking....another thing is when i went to kaosan rd, i sometimes facied about more than 10 girls compare to going sukumvit area or any thai joints some night there was none of them that i would go and chat to them...

i reckon it s just individual thing, ain't it?? cannot really explainn why but since i could remember from my childhood, farang girls have always attracted me... anotehr personal info, i ve got only one relationship with thai when i was 15.. and after that every single one was with farang but not here in thailand though....
