Thailand to consider early reopening of bars
DefaultName replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I've met a few, all familiar faces, most are regulars from cold climes who usually over-winter here. 14 days quarantine and they didn't come, change to 1 day and here they are. I've yet to meet anyone I'd consider a tourist. -
MOPH: Drinking alcohol increases risk of contracting COVID

"Covid-19 germs" I hope this is a translation thing; germs are bacteria, Covid is a virus. If he did mean that, he's in the wrong job. -

The UK had these hours for many years. Then they allowed bars to stay open in the afternoons. And........ nothing, the sky didn't fall in, civilisation didn't collapse, there weren't drunks littering the streets. A non-event really.

If it's only on your phone, take a screen-print in case you've no internet. But I agree, printing is cheap, not being allowed on a plane is expensive.

Italian sausages are usually excellent, but they aren't what a Brit would be looking for to go with his bacon & eggs breakfast. They're made for other types of meal. -
AstraZeneka vs. Pfizer which one to take?

Sorry, we may think that we know everything, but this needs a specialist to answer. With his medical condition, he must have a doctor, please ask there. As far as entry to Thailand goes, either will work. -
Surely Facebook has enough AI to flag up certain words in Thai for manual translation only?

Desperate Situation During Pandemic

Firstly, get vaccinated. I understand that you're worried about it, but most of us on here have done it and.... we're still posting on here. Also, it isn't just for you, it's to keep your friends & family safe too. Also, when the land borders re-open, it'll be years before you can cross without proof of vaccine. You need that. As to your problem, the answer is money. You don't have it, you need it. My advice for what it's worth; go home. Work your b0ll0cks off earning and developing skills that you could use to earn a living here. You mentioned graduating to teach, there's one option to start with. Your partner will wait if she's really yours. Or, could she go with you for a few years? You mentioned that you don't want to overstay, good, getting blacklisted for years is the last thing you need. Good luck whatever you decide to do. -

Pints have preservative so that the barrels stay good longer. It gives me hangovers. Bottles don't have that - well, Tiger and Leo (all I drink) don't, so no hangovers.
