  1. Turns out we're both not city-center. I've used both of the dental clinics at Nakornthon Hospital and Bangkok 9 Hospital.

And for routine work, there's a small dental office behind Bang Mot Hospital (approx. 25 from the main road).

All the above are on Rama 2 - perhaps 10-15 minutes from Ban Khae.

As a side note, some of the worst work I've had done was at an upscale clinic in Silom.

I've yet to meet a dentist here that doesn't speak English.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks yeah I was axtually thinking of NakornThon on Rama II myself, as I have been there before to see the doctor and was very impressed. Nice clean and they attend to you very quickly

  2. I can't tell you where in Thailand, but can give you some insight. I had only one eye lasiked since I didn't need reading glasses. Its called monovision. It great not needing glasses, especially if you are a golfer or tennis player and no sweat dripping on your glasses. You will need to put drops in your eyes for a period of time both before and after your surgery. The surgery, itself only lasts a minute, just a few laser zaps. I can now read and see distance without the need of glasses and can also shop for sun glasses for the very first time off the rack. That became addicting for a while. I recommend that you do it. Its been five years for me, and when the time comes that I can't read without reading glasses, I will have the other eye lasiked

    Thanks for the info!

Any idea on the price? (Even outside of Thailand)

  3. OK so admittedly I haven't been to the dentist in quite a while..years in fact.

Due an accident years ago the last time I visited I had to have 2 caps put on my front teeth. Just recently the second of these caps has fell off leaving me now with an arch in my two front teeth. On top of this my teeth have never been the straightest (or whitest for that matter!) So I guess what I'm saying is that it seems to be the right time to finally go back to the dentist and have everything that's needed done.

2 Crowns this time, a check up for any fillings needed, cleaning, whitening and if anything can be done about the fact that my bottom row are crooked then that too.

So i guess im looking for any recommendations for English speaking Dentists in BKK and also any price estimates ( my 2 caps cost me 90quid years ago back home!) would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers!

  4. My eye sight is not that bad at -0.75 but It does annoy me making me tired to focus on distant things, reading signs, TV etc

So I was wondering how much is laser eye in Thailand? I've heard that in other county's its a case of in and out within a lunchtime and your original eye sight is restored by way of laser skimming of the top layer off the eye

Is this affordable in LOS? If so where?

  5. I find myself having the same problem as the OP. All of a sudden my tolerance has gone out of the window. Feel sick day after having only 3 pints, restless sleep, and also sleep drunk walking if I've drunk too much..all this never used to be a problem and saying all this I'm only 30 now and going back 3 years I could quite happily get the 'drunk buzz' but now I find it never comes. I'm sure its a chemical in balance in the body which makes your system intolerable to alcohol so I'm planning on heading to the doctors for blood tests next week.

Also a friend of mine recommended doing a colma board treatment to clear the stomach of all parasites so might give that a go too.
