  1. The balance on January 1, 2024 of the account from which the transfers are made can play an important role. It can be deducted from the transfer amount because it is not income earned in 2024.
  2. The term “pension tax” does not exist in Thai law. It is also not about the taxation of pensions. If I have understood this correctly, it is about a tax on income transfers. It does not matter whether or not pensions are included. What is transferred is taxable (of course, taking into account the deductions). In this respect, the double taxation agreements are not relevant. The much-cited tax experts will of course continue to try to complicate the process so that they can make a decent living from it.
  3. This is my actaual tax return as an example. Accepted by the Revenue Office in Pattaya on Jan. 07. Date EUR Rate THB THB INCOME Remittances 2024 14.03.2024 39,0009 348.866,01 THB 23.07.2024 39,5222 334.112,20 THB 682.978,21 THB Carried over from 2023 No income from 2024 29.12.2023 7.032,00 € 37,9404 -266.796,89 THB 416.181,32 THB Deductions Standard 60.000,00 THB Pension 100.000,00 THB 65+ 190.000,00 THB Health Insurance 25.000,00 THB -375.000,00 THB 41.181,32 THB The income after deductions is below the free 150,000 so I had tot to pay tax. Why to make it more complicated?
  4. General deductions are: Standard: 60,000 For the person: 100,000 If tax payer over 65 years old: 190,000 Other deductions are possible, e.g 50% from health insurance contribution, max 25,000
  5. You can see a form at http://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/download/english_form/2023/230367PIT91.pdf It is exactly what the employee at the tax office used for my 2024 tax return (she filled it out herself based on my information).
  6. Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you. The sender (True) as a network operator probably has options that the average mortal doesn't have: He can apparently cancel the block! I have now blocked several times and still received more text messages. I then checked and found that the sender was no longer blocked! To be precise, I checked again after another block. Lo and behold, the sender is not blocked. It cannot be blocked!
  7. Certainly not. But even if it were, the person who sent these SMS 21 times so far must be an idiot. Am I really the only one with this problem?
  8. For about three weeks now, I have been receiving a text message from TrueMoney every day. Always the same text in Thai, with links to some DTAC offers. It is about DTAC Cash Back. The only things I can read are the numbers 99.50 baht and 50% Who still gets them? and has found a way to use them? It's only one text message a day, but it's still a nuisance. You can't reply to it, and I couldn't find a central reporting office at True/DTAG. The True and DTAC shops couldn't or wouldn't help me either. And I can't get an answer on Facebook
  9. I made my first report in person after renewing my passport. However, the old passport number is still in the barcode on the receipt I received. I am curious to see what happens when I report online next time.
  10. Pattaya: Last week I had to fill in a new TM47 and hand in passport copies. The barcode on the last Slip in the Passport no longer seems to be scanned.
  11. A friend tells me that he has filled out a TM 13 and therefore no longer needs to fill out a TM 30. What is correct about this?
  12. And the Thai bank will give me the FET needed for the purchse of a condo?
  13. I open any PDF in my browser (Edge) and are able to write on it or fill out fields. No PDF editor required.
  14. After entry into the computer used to record the posting. So there is a connection to the database in which we are all recorded.
  15. Some time ago, when I posted an item at the post office and had to show an ID, I used my driver's license. However, it was rejected because the old passport number was still entered there. This shows that even the post office checks for a current passport based on the number. Later, with an updated driver's license, there were no more problems at the post office.

This plan will be valid once we receive the full payment.
  17. I found out that you can pay for your own cremation and the spreading of the ashes in the sea in advance.
  18. I'm suspicious of these chicks! Everything used to work better without them.
  19. I have lived at my current address for almost 20 years. The TM30 notification was made by my landlord at the time. But I have no record of it. There have been no problems with it so far. I regularly submit my 90-day report, always with this address. If I now go abroad and come back to the same address after 4 weeks, do I need to submit a new TM30 notification?
  20. I have had the impression on several occasions that the woman at the first counter in the building on the right does not like farangs. She makes everything complicated.
  21. Are amounts of money now expressed in kilograms?
  22. For the residence certificate one original and a copy is definitely enough (own experience last week). But the immigration wants to sell you two originals. Therefore, it is better to specify only car OR motorcycle when they ask.
