Has anybody successfully used the Phuket office to apply for a UK visitor visa for their family?. Do they take biometrics there? TIA PST
  2. Thanks. I've also just read that uk application center from March 18th is now The shoppes at Belle Grand Rama 9 131/1,141/1 Unit BS003-BSOO3/1 1st Floor, Rama 9, Huay Kwang so a different address,,,,
  3. In recent years, once my wife has submitted her online application, she always used to have to go to the Trendy Building in BKK to do biometrics etc and to hand in the original documents. Is that still the location used? TIA
  4. do you have the LINE ID please?, i cant seem to add fs high?
  5. Is there a new facebook link for the khanom growers, the last link provided dosent work? thx pst
  6. We live in, and will be applying from Thailand.
  7. Thanks very much. As i mentioned in my original post, we are undecided where to go at present, but Spain and Italy do appeal along with Netherlands,
  8. Thanks, so for Spain, I cannot act as a sponsor, even though my families name will be on all the bookings, but other Schengen countries I can?. Is there a definitive list of which countries accept sponsors?. Have any other posters experienced any non sponsor countries?
  9. Thanks for all your helpful information. As I sponsor my families UK visa and have done for the past 10 years, I will try to include all the same financial information in the Schengen application. We will most definitely be only visiting one country due to time restrictions. Are there any Embassy's that are 'easier' to gain the visa from......?
  10. A sponsor can show the funds, correct?
  11. Thanks again for the replies. A previous poster mentioned having confirmed flights and accommodation, i presume they can be booked under a refundable/ cancellation policy incase visa is rejected?
  12. What I meant was, we may only be going to one country, so if i applied at the Italian embassy and was approved, could i then enter another Schengen country first, or would it have to be Italy?
  13. Thanks for the replies. So as I am the sponsor for my families UK trips, its similar paperwork that I need to provide for their Schengen application?. I'm thinking to get the UK visas in place first, then apply for Schengen straight after, so at least then they can see travel history for UK over past 10 years. Is the rule about having to enter the Country that you got the Schengen for first implemented, or could you say apply at the Itailan Embassy, but enter say Netherlands first?.
  14. My Thai family have visited the uk on many occasions and we are travelling again in a few months. This time we are thinking of going to the Schengen area for a week also (not sure where yet). Would they need to have the usual uk visitor vis in place first before applying for Schengen, or is it totally seperate and can be done before or after the uk application? TIA
  15. My daughter has both Thai and UK passports. On a recent trip to Europe i forgot to renew her Thai passport before leaving Thailand, immigration let her leave on her UK one. On the way back into Thailand, she entered on her expired Thai passport (They cant refuse Thai nationals entering on an expired passport, same as all countries) and she was told to renew it asap. PST

    UPS Delivery-Phuket

Hi, anybody share any recent experiences with UPS?, do they use Thai post once parcel has arrived in Bangkok? TIA PST
  17. That's great, much appreciated. No, we haven't had a two year visa before. I presume it's better to go for two year before five year initially?, she had had six, 6 month visitor visas. PST.
  18. Thanks, we have been married for 10 years, been to the uk 5 times but never longer than 4 weeks, but circumstances are changing. Do you need more money in the bank for a two year visa than a 6 month?, how do you 'prove' you are able to sponsor long term? PST
  19. Off topic slightly, but did your wife obtain, 2 year and 5 year visitor visa first, or go straight from 6 months to 10 year?, is it a gradual process? PST
  20. Thanks for the reply.I never got that. I left 3 weeks before my next 90 days was due, they just took that slip out my passport when I returned and said a new 90 day slip would be given when I applied for extension.
  21. I always thought it was 90 days from when you re entered the country, however I recently did my marriage extension a month after re entering and was expecting the officer to produce a new 90 day report for 60 days time ( as I had already been in country for 30 days), but he said the 90 days started from that day ( the day I applied). This was entered into the system and a slip was printed out for 90 days. So technically I will have been in the country for 120 days when I do my next report. When I landed I went to report my address (same address) as you are required to do and the officer removed the original 90 days report slip and said as my visa was due for renewal soon I would get a new date.
  22. As the title suggests. Fine from my phone, impossible from laptop?
  23. Hi. My 90 day report was due at the end of April, however I left Thailand early April, so did not stay 90 days. When i re-entered Thailand, no new 90 day report slip starting from the day i landed was given to me at airport immigration, i believe that is normal. Do i just got to my local office to get the new slip?. My annual extension renewal is due soon so i don't want to wait until then to get the new slip. Thanks PST
