  1. Hello,

When we make payments to China we pay them in their Chinese currency. We exchange our currency for their currency and pay them the dividends (payments) we owe them on the debt they purchased from our federal treasury. Same same for Abu Dabi, etc, etc

    Hello,

sure and one of Santa Claus' reindeers is called Rudolph. did you know that Rudolph has a red nose and except for the Christmas holidays he works in the federal treasury's dividend department?

My word. I'm trying to keep it simple forya. Your simpleton replies are the reason why.

Hows about when the vig is up on the U.S. Treasury Securities? Does that sound betta 2 ya than a dividend?

  2. Hello,

The Federal Reserve does not print U.S. Dollars. The Treasury Department does that.

The Central Bank kinda like prints debt by backing treasuries, and such. The Treasury Department can sell (print) more debt (and pay current bills) when the Central Bank issues programs like QE.

We don't need a piece of gold colored ore to "backup" the most significant country on the planet. We have more than enough real collateral in The States to have currency folk flock to The Greenback when the going gets rough. When the going gets better the Treasury Department will take in enough revenue to not need to print much debt. The U.S. Dollar will get stronger and the interest on previous debt will be cheaper because we will be paying the (foriegn currency incurred) debt down with U.S. Dollars.

that is mission impossible because the GNoE™ (Greatest Nation on Earth, aka U.S. of A.) does not have any foreign currency debt.

mission impossible but quite entertaining is also your fairy tale of "real collateral" and "will take in enough revenue" and last not least "most significant country".

keep up to the good job! thumbsup.gif

  3. US quantitative easing, or QE3, will send capital flowing into Asia, which will strengthen their currencies

the guy who said that was not burden with schooling, as it seems

QE is money printing withought backup

... if you do that the it weakens the currency

happend in like 100 countries before always with the same outcome, why do some people believe for them it would be the other way around?

one of the reasons for the EU crisis is the massive bailouts which is money printing without backup

  4. Spent 2 days searching for a rental, seems there are practically no houses for rent in Ubon at the moment. So we ended up buying a house,an unexpected purchase, but probably a good investment at the rate that Ubon is growing.

Now for the house warming party.

Do you want to rent it?

  5. Just have her call them (initial hospital in Nakhon Phanom) back and speak to the ambulance dispatcher. If for some reason the dispatcher has no record of a 300 km job that he gave (and recieved a kickback for) to the ambulance company (can't be more than 5 local ambulance companies) that transfered the brother; at least the dispatcher can give your wife the phone numbers of the 3 or 4 ambulance companies (probably one) that would have the equipment and personal on hand to recieve that very lucrative job. I'm positive a hospital nurse and probably an anesthesiologist were in the sizable ambulance that would be required to transport the personal needed to monitor and maintain a coma patient for that distance.

Have you called the original hospital in Nakhon Phanom ?

They should know where they transfered him to (or at least the name and phone number of the ambulance company).

We tried that but as he didn't have any ID on him they had no record of his being there. Lam has tried to call the emergency room to see if someone there might remember him there but they don't answer their phone either. It's not easy to figure this out if people don't answer their dam_n phones.

  6. Thanks. I guess they called back. The wife said the house has been rented.

    Still looking...

Is that house or any house for rent in Ubon City or very near?

No one seems to answer that number.

I need a single story house with enclosed yard. 3,000 baht finders fee for anyone who finds the house we choose.

    Thanks

It is within the ring road. If you open the kml file I uploaded before you will see the location.

  7. Happily married. Wife and 3 kids live in Ubon. I have never purchased property in Thailand and have never paid a sin sod. I don't support the inlaws or the siblings.

You are proud of the fact that you don't support 3 kids that live under your roof? Surely you mean you don't give the kids everything they want and don't enable your in-laws and make them dependent on you.

Oops. I meant the wife's deadbeat brothers and sisters.

Looks like the house we rent now is getting cumbersome. Does anyone know of a house in Ubon or Warin for rent? Does not have to be western style.

    Thanks

  8. If 5 dollar per day thirld world labor has to pay first world prices (that are decided at the N.Y. Merc Exchange, Chicago , etc) then thirld world labor is going to have to be paid first world wages.

These Thais are paying 5 U.S. dollars per gallon for petro. 85% of them only net 5 U.S. dollars per day.

It's equivalent of an American paying $150.00 per gallon for petro.

  9. You will never get your deposit back but the same mai ben rai related to civil action against the landlord works in your favor too. Just don't pay the last months rent. Nothing he can do about it. TiT.

  10. If I wanted a tall, modern, independent, fair skinned, ego driven loudmouth whose main priority was not (ME) then I would have stayed in my home country and endured that evolution in progress and continued to happily participate in my Emasculation.

Don't get me wrong. I love the China Thai Rachadapisek massage girls but those UP2U LBFM LaoThai soulmates are priceless.

  11. Not sure why anyone would build a house for a girlfriend. Would you build a house for a girlfriend in your home country?

A 2,000,000 baht house in Ubon will rent for a maximum of 10,000 baht (probably 6,000 baht) and only if it has 3 air conditioners and hot showers and a place to secure your car. You could rent that house for ten years and only pay 1,200,000 baht in those ten years (200,000 baht less if you paid 100,000 baht yearly upfront).

Even if you're married to her, at least knock her up (DNA test) and create an heir before you take the 3rd world real estate dive.

Remember; she is with you for her and her familys financial stability and your with her because you can't get a hot chick half your age in your home country.

It's a fair trade we all make. Just cover yourself a bit.

If the buying the house in her name thang is a prerequisite for her to agree continuing or advancing your relationship then walk away. You can get 1,250 soapys for two million baht. 900 rounds of golf. Damawho every day for 270 years. 2/3 rds of a 3.5 litre Toyota Camry sold in Thailand or 3 of the same model sold in America.

OP might want to ponder my statements and advice as I am one of the few that has not been burned by the type of person who would accept an offer to buy a house (nevermind the type of gal who would initiate the idea for the transaction).

Are you suggesting that there is nothing very very wrong with a falang buying a girlfriend a house?

    A girlfriend!

    my word.....
