but there are many weirdos too there....one guy invited me to check his condo there, old dude, because he saw me checking the ads on the bard in VT2.....so I came there in his room and he was like thinking to sell it ....not sure....but when I told him I have a thai girlfriend....he immediately kicked me out.....

and there was another seller there that mentioned there were many gays living there....and I am sure he was one of them

and I checked the third condo, little bigger, 73 sq meters, gorgeous and there was seems to me a working girl there too and he was all sweaty, <deleted>less etc like they just finished their thing....lol.....

i wonder how many people are in swimming pool because there are 1000 condos there???

usual " crowded " afternoon before the COVID.

One thing I always consider, as I like to swim, is pool size in relation to the number of units in the condo project.  The View Talay pools are relatively large but so are the number of units in the projects. VT2B has nearly 1000 units so its pool size would be ok in a condo with maybe 500 units but I think  just barely adequate with all the units it has.  Some of the newer projects have quite sizable pools with condo numbers much smaller than the VT projects.  Ananya Beachfront, for example, has just 95 condos and a pool that looks at least as large as VT2B.

I live myself in VT2A, the pool is mostly empty until 3-4 PM, locals has other things to do, the tourists going to the beach anyway... VT1 has bigger swimming pool, but for two building.

I agree, we own a condo which has 2 nice pools in total 50m, out of 100 units I think no more than 10 people staying there which only owners can get to, without a key card nobody can get in on the project not like an hotel pool where anybody can walk in, why not leave it to the discretion of the management?

Officially it's the discretion of the condo committee, I know condos with open pools.

Problem is, they don't give any information on who, where, why etc !!

Singapore is giving clear information on a case by case basis incl contact tracing..

One new case from yesterday was a guy who had been in Thailand just previously...

HeHe! Referring to my post # 27.

No glass eyes, maybe a bit "Chubby".

    -------

In my home country "Chubby" women with glass-eyes and a wooden leg and bad breath cost 5000 Bht for ST.

Our choice, as long as able and willing to travel. Isen't it?

Living in the wrong country, in my country in Europe a ST costs 1000 baht... with a young stunner.

I don't think it is violence but it IS a violation to expose dirty used smoke from cigarettes to innocents living in the home with a smoker. it is a violation as it relates to all individuals that have the right to breathe in fresh air. Oh, I know about the pollution but the smoking aspect adds to the problem and to some extent, people saying that staying indoors maybe escape the pollution outside - but can't stay inside for three months, no!.

It is never right to state that its (perceived) importance is at the expense of greater needs and therefore do nothing. Many thousands die everywhere in the world from the effects of smoking - what's wrong with doing something really positive? Will it work? I don't know - wait and see!

When I discovered in 1980 the irrefutable proof that passive smoking is harmful to my family, I immediately gave up - it just seemed to be the caring and responsible thing to do. I do not expect to be criticised for it or being thought of as "holier than Thou".

I have some (not much) sympathy with those who believe this measure by the Government is a violation of their human rights and another nail in the coffin of freedom to choose.

It's a bit like wearing a crash helmet or your safety belt. Not because it's the law but because it affords protection from more serious effects in the event of accidents - caring and being responsible!

This could lead to a court injunction to protect the health of family members, with the smoker being sent to a rehabilitation centre to kick the habit,” Lertpanya said. " Sounds like Khmer Rouge....

  7. Sold and bought condos in the last 15 years, never declared the actual price. Once you paid the transfer tax, end of the story. ( you can transform money back to your country based on tor tor 3 , not on the purchase price )  BTW, the most common practice is to pay the transfer tax 50-50% by the seller and the buyer.

I was unaware there was an isue of  dogbites, because there are no claims filed with the  local authorities. Any chance these are the jerks provoking them with sticks and the like?

I was bitten myself sitting on a motorbyke taxi... Talking with the doctors in the hospital, they mentioned it's common....

  9. I will say it again. I want my beach lounge chair back, I want some old woman to come along and give me snacks and drinks, I want an umbrella to give me shade from the sun. Why the hell go to the beach if I have to lay on some little mat and get my balls full of sand. This is why people come to Thailand (people with money that is). People have been coming here for years for the same reason and now you are going to lose them.

Absolute agree... also not really healthy to lie on the sand full with dirt and dog piss / shit...

  10. Yes, it is proven that raising tobacco taxes does reduce consumption. I think they should increase it MUCH MORE.

May reduce legal consuption... my country was raped with this western bullshit and in the result the legal consuption decreased dramatically... whilst the tobacco contraband business doing better, than ever.... I myself buying only contrabanded ciggies for the half price of the legal shop's prices.... as the thais says: som nam na.... Americans never learn... remember the result of the alcohol prohibition....
