I believe farang selling to farang is not permitted. He needs to sell to a Thai who can then sell it to you. Wife, g/f, thai friend, bloke on the street who you paid a few baht for the favour, whatever, whoever, can act as the middleman/woman. Think the law is designed to stop Farangs trading as a living.
 Priceless.

In 2001, just prior to the mass murders on 9/11 in NY, my GF was from Udon Thani & she told me that the police carried out summary executions for drug related second offenders in the UT area.
I scoffed at her story at the time... It seems that I was wrong.
-
"Only 35 cases were proven that the suspects were actually involved with drugs."
Amazing Thailand.

of course if you use shipito.com and put the value customs declaration of say US$500 you will be charged a percentage of US$500.
I think you would pay duty on the CIF + VAT.
Not just on the 500.
If repacked properly at shipito, I would use USPS.
It to, is trackable.

TVF has a new topic to talk bad about Thai people.
Blame the Farang. Where plastic bags and soft drinks came from? Not so long time ago there where no plastic bags and no polystyreen food-containers. Food was packed in banana leaves.
There is a lot of recycling going on for all kinds of material. And believe it or not many plastic products in Thailand are made of biodegradable plastic.
your post is typical xenophobia.
you sound like the taliban leader with 5 mobile phones.
& a laptop.....

My local fried rice vendor serves the take-aways on a banana leaf in Polystyrene box!
Explain the Thai "logic" in that K.'kissdani'!

I think they should put big warning labels on them.
"This Product Bag is Harmful to the Environment"
Good idea & easily done at the point of manufacture.
In English & Thai.

Great post!

What were you trying to say?

Simple solution would be that the Thai stores to start buying "biodegradable" bags and use them. Yes, they exist are being used elsewhere and in fact everywhere else it seems. They are actually made from "vegetable oil" and "plasticizers". I have been given them to me here a few times so I know they do exist here. The bags are identified by a "recyclable" label printed on it. They literally self destruct in 3-6 months with exposure to heat or UV light.
So true!
I bought a load of potting soil and compost, the unused bags disintegrated when I picked them up to use after 4-5 months.
Kudos to the gardening / nursery industry for taking the lead.
So, it can be done!

I was thinking of bringing my Navman next visit, but sadly Navman don't have water resisitant plastic housings or motorcycle mounts.
Seems every manufacture makes motorcycle mounts except Navman! Cie la vie!
So thaicbr's suggestion maybe the best option if you can get a bike mount.
Old post, I know, but you might look at an Aqua Box from gpscity.com
I have one arriving on Monday if you want to check it out.

Good luck with the Eucs.
No Teak or Rubber?
I noticed a big change in the landscape on the way to Poipet recently.
Teak & Eucs everywhere. Looks good!
5 years ago, zero.

Comfortable and light.
I don't think twice about putting it on, even for the 1 km ride to the 7-11
Bill, order it direct from Real.

Let's hope that they have contacted the Hon. Chinese Consul on Phuket,
he seems to be a grafter and takes care of his countrymen & women.
There seems to be a heck of a lot missing to this story.

Risky post!!
Are you Trolling?
It's a reasonable question!
You made a poor taste post earlier, which was deleted.
I hope this one suffers the same treatment.

What a waste of police resources but then again why not, people burn down the city, and the police turn a blind eye.
Why is clamping down on illegal activities a waste of resources. If they didn't do anything you'd probably complain as well. What would you like the police to do? Ignore crime or catch the criminals?
Where are you, Tibet?
You obviously know Jack about Organised Crime here.

You won't be disappointed with the mags.
Yes, they are tubeless.
As a guide, I paid 6000 which included 2 new tyres fitted, 2nd hand, but the wheels/tyres had never been used.

My point was that summary executions were going on in the provinces before Taxsin made his announcement!.
