  1. I did some research and found this.

"A good and cheap trip is to get the river taxis that go up and down the river for less than 20 baht a head. Most people get on at Saphan Taksin BTS station (on the river) and go up towards the Grand Palace or Banglampu."

This sounds a lot better then paying 900 baht a head for a dinner cruise. We want to see the Grand Palace anyway and we're cheap charlies.

  2. you can take dinner cruse from river city hotel 7.30 pm

2 hours fun and great entertainment about 900 baht per person

2nd this can be siam niramit show(a bit expensive)

Yea, the Grand Palace is a must see, I kind of figured that. The river dinner cruise sounds great. 900 baht/person. Me, my wife, and 3 month old son. Do you think they'll charge 900 baht for my son? I'm staying at the Maxinn hotel, how do I get to the river cruise from there?

  3. Hi,

I'm spending 2 days in Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok before and enjoyed the nightlife, but never really did any tourist things. What are the best 2 things to do in Bangkok with my wife?

    Thanks

  4. Yea, I decided Pattaya is a better location. Mainly because my wife is Thai is she likes Thai food. There are so many more places to eat in Pattaya and cheaper prices too. What about Nova Park Pattaya. Is this a good location. It looks pretty far off. Any other suggetions in Pattaya. I like Pattay Bay Resort, but I don't like the pool. It looks like there is no shade from viewing the photos. Is this true. I can't believe people have a pool and don't have umbrellas to keep the sun away. I don't want to get sun burnt and my wife doesn't want to be black, no offense.

  5. I've been to Pattaya many times and stayed at many different hotels. This time I want to rent a condo at one of the View Talay buildings. I see there are 6 of them. Which one is the best within my price range of 1000 baht/night (35000 for 5 weeks). Two things I want are a nice swimming pool and a good location near the baht bus route. Thanks

  6. Hi,

First time in Phuket. Did a search, but all too confusing as I don't know what area to stay. I want to be within a 10 minute walk to the nightlife (what's the name of it, is it Patong?). I also want to be within a 10 minute walk to a nice beach. How much for a transfer from the airport to the hotel?

    Thanks

  7. Hi,

My Thai wife and I are having a baby soon. We live in America and the baby will be born here. 2 months after the baby is born, we want to go to Thailand with the baby. We are considering leaving the baby with her mom in Thailand for one year. That way, my wife and I can come back to America, both work full time, and try to make some extra money because we really need it to pay bills. Does the baby need a passport? Does the baby need a visa, and if so, we need a one year visa? Also, the baby will be born in America so it will be an American citizen, but will he (it's a boy :)) be a Thai citizen too?

    Thanks

  8. I thought you were with your wife and heading on a coach to Issan? :D

I will be with my wife, but I can still get drunk and have a good time. I realized it's easier to spend one night in Bangkok and then take the bus the next day.

A word of advice. Make sure your Isaan mrs doesn't see the entry stamp in your passport. :)

    She will be with me.
