Drug money and being used to buy weapen in the 3 world, so people who buy drung are guilty of all the killing in the 3 world.

So why dont al the farang that use drugs just go and fuc_k out of thailand back to there own country. All the farang how do stupid things in thailand make it more difficult for all of us who just want a normale life here.

  4. A new wrinkle for smooth living here. I understand from several foreign residents to renew Driver L. at the Ministry of Transport ,that must now be done at police station. They also require yellow book, and fingerprints. Are they sure we are welcome to live here at all ? Very strange, and no previous announcement.

    Comments?

  7. I need to find a dentist for my 8yo nephew. I need a dentist who is good (and qualified) with kids. This poor boy is terrified of dentists, so I need one who is kind and gentle and speaks good English.

Dr. Kraisri, has office in town, evening hours and also run Dental service in Buriram General Hospital 2nd floor, daily.

    Recommendeded by Mr. Claus.

  8. I understand there is a bus service between Khon Kaen and Pattaya. Does anyone know how often they run, what sort of times they leave Khon Kaen, how long they take and how much they cost?

    Thanks in advance

PS: this is my first post on ThaiVisa so I would like to thank all those who make this forum what it is. I have never had reason to post before but I have often found this website to be entertaining, thought provoking and a font of knowledge.

Now since you understand that much, that there is a Bus service.....intelligence dictates....got o the Bus Station and get a schedule.

  9. My Thai finacee is 26 years old, I'm 40; we've been together two years, we met in Bangkok. She's from Sisaket originally, lives here in Bangkok in a flat I provide in the Sukhumvit area. I provide her with a 60,000 ThB/month (high, I think) allowance, 10,000 ThB of which she apparently gives to her mother; I'm also paying her tuition to go to university next year to study hospitality management, and I plan on buying her a car, as the university is quite a ways outside of Bangkok, near Dreamworld. My fiancee is, surprisingly, an only child.

I recently gave my fiancee 50,000 ThB, which she used to purchase a 4-baht gold bracelet for Thong Mun; I was given to understand that this was a prerequisite for us to visit her home in Sisaket together. We talked about the sinsod for her marriage, and she says her mother believes that ~500,000 ThB is the going rate for farangs marrying girls from Sisaket. Is this correct, or is it high?

Now I learn that my fiancee's mother has told her that if we visit Sisaket together, I must not say that I bought her a 4-baht Thong Mun, as this will be considered laughable by the locals, amongst whom 8-baht and even 10-baht Thong Mun is the norm. I find this quite to believe; any insight greatly appreciated!

you are being systematically cleaned out. Its time to drop that hot potateo.

  10. In Buriram/Surin area at the minute and really need a good dentist asap for extraction :o . Defination of good: pain free!! Would be nice if they could also speak a little english too.

  11. I managed to dump an entire bottle of water onto my laptop whilst it was plugged into the mains. Of course it no longer powers up.

Does anyone know of a good repair shop in Surin? This is an expensive Asus G2S laptop and I would rather put it in the cupboard for a few months and get it repaired next time I am in the UK than give it to some dodgy back street bandit, so please only recomend somewhere decent.

    Thanks in advance.

best bet: take a Bus to BKK and go to ASUS Directly, on RAMA4 and LumpiniPark. They will be very helpful, same time you may want to do some shopping or so...good Luck.

  12. Have been quoted a very high price to repair the air conditioner in my Toyota Soluna by the Toyota workshop. Can anyone recommend any independent repair shops/air con specialists in the above towns.

  13. MANILA (AFP) - - Nearly two billion people in the Asia-Pacific region will be at risk from dengue fever unless governments do more to fight the debilitating disease, the World Health Organisation said Tuesday.

This article just in from the Local Press.

I just got back home from Hospital, after a severe bout of Denkue. This is nothing to play with. Please take care about standing water. If you have high fever and not feel of eating, better see the doctoe at once. Baan Hua Ling had several cases last week, including my self.Doctor told me in Buriram wide spread.

boil water for at least 20 minutes, remember it is heavy of calcium, after some time your maschienry will clonk out.use it only for gardening, and get used to the fact you live in Thailand.

  15. Hmmmmmm.....................Just follow your heart? :o

So, you discovered the truth. Yesterday you loved her, today is over ? because of a picture. This person needs more moral support from you .She told you the truth because she felt that she could trust you.Now you withdraw the trust. Not fair. She had gone true a very serious change in her life. She loves you enough to tell you the truth. Its time that you change and learn to have more understanding on many social issues. Some day you will have children...just imagine if some day they come home and say: "Dad..I am gay" .What will yiy say? Love your children, regardless of who they will be. And love this person, she needs it.

  16. I've just been in to Ruamphaet Hospital in Surin and am pleased to find they've got the first cardiologist available in Surin. She's newly qualified, could understand very little English but I think said she could listen to the heart of a child in our family who has a possible murmur. They can do ECGs but not much else... Korat seems to be the nearest for further diagnostics. Has anyone discovered any ther closet cardiologist nearby?

As ambulance driver and family medical insurer of last resort, I have been in to Ruamphaet several times. I don't mind the broken floors and grubby appearance, nor the fact the doctors cannot cope in English, but does anyone have any experiences or thoughts about using this hospital. As I'm now over thirty, one has to keep an eye on these things!

One time I went in with what I was sure was impetigo, a horrible skin infection. The lady doctor who always sees you first makes you write things down on a piece of paper and then tells you that she's sixty two. The specialist she sent me up to see turned out to be a cosmetic surgeon and not a dermatologist. In a fascinating reflection on local priorities, they don't have a dermatologist, so I got on the bus to Bangkok and the Bumrungrad.

It does bother me a bit that local health facilities are limited as it could be something more important than impetigo. If you're really sick, how do you make it to salvation in Bangkok? Air ambulance from Surin? Perish the thought.

I live in Buriram ,at 68, have used the General Hospital several times,as well as a private one. Both are very satisfactory to me. EKG taken here at General, Kidney stones at private and General.Very clean and no broken floors.

  17. I have been looking but, it seems, not in the right places.

I would prefer Black & Decker but Weed Eater would be alright. My 'yard' is about 9 meters by 14. Hardly large enough for one of the semi-bushhogs I see in the hardware stores.

Any help out there would be appreciated.

You can buy Lawnmower and or Trimmer made by " TALON" in your localk Hardware store. I live in Buriram and have both, about 2400.- each if I remember rightl.

  18. According to an article in the english press some time ago, millions of Baht worth of rice has disappeaed.Since then I have not seen another mention of that subject. Anyone looking for the lost goods?

  19. It seems the rule of thumb for all types of visas is you need to present yourself at an official location at least once every three months. I am going out on a limb here, but I always assumed the puprose of this was to make it easy and relatively quick to catch wanted people. Why else would they give out visas valid for one or even five years yet you still have to produce yourself somewhere every 3 months? If my thinking is right, which it might not be, then online reporting would be just a pipe dream.
I believe the reason for the "InPerson" reporting is they have a requirement to report to your Embassy that you are still alive and well and living in Thailand. That is the reason for identifying you with your Passport. So you also have an option to report with the properly filled out form to a local police station. By the way, I live in Surin, so I just drive 90 Km to Kop Choeng and give the nice lady my thousand baht and my passport...she stamps the Passport and gives me another appointment slip for 90 days later.

    No Problem

    Bob

why pay ? this 90 day report is free.
