  1. I've just got a couple of complimentary passes for all four days of golf at the Thailand Classic Asian and European Tour event at Black Mountain Golf Resort,Hua Hin.

I can't go unfortunately,so if you live in Chiang Mai and are going down for it pm me. I could also send them if we've no takers up here.

  2. Same experience for me at Chaitawat. The bike was the front one on display 2 inches off the ground and they wouldn't even take it off the stand and let me sit on it unless I said I was going to buy it if it fit me. The guy said that it was a waste of his time if I didn't buy. It was the bike I wanted and I had the cash in my wallet, but just had to walk away from someone with that attitude.Bizarre.

Went to Jacky Bike and he was very helpful and brought a bike down from upstairs for me to try and gave me advice about sizing and stuff.

  3. The Gerson place in Chiang Dao isn't operating as far as I know.
I think it was basically an organic farm run by a young guy with cancer who was doing the Gerson Therapy, but could help others as well. I think he's opened an English teaching school in Cambodia now.

Healing begins on a cellular level and Gerson Therapy is one of many natural treatments that boost a sick body's own healing power,so in answer to your question I would say that it is very, very useful.

There are lots of testimonials on the web.
Here's some info from Dr Patrick Vickers at Gerson Centre in Mexico

  4. Before anyone gets a root canal done inform yourself of the dangers of this procedure to your health and immune system.

If you have already had the root canal procedure then consider getting the dead tooth/teeth removed. It is important to ensure that the extraction procedure includes removal of the periodonatal ligament and infected bone underneath the tooth.

The dangers of root canals have been extensively researched by Dr Weston Price,Hal Huggins,George Meinig amongst others and linked to degenerative autoimmune illnesses.

  5. Another thumbs up for "Chotana private hospital" - Chotanavet Animal Hospital just past Tesco Lotus on the Super Highway.

Dr Pongpao has looked after our dog for 8 years and he saved one of our cats after a botched operation at another vets near us in Maejo.

Chotanavet is owned and run by Dr Pongpao - T: 053-215333. He's a nice guy, diligent and a good communicator who thoroughly explains his suggested treatment/prognosis and speaks excellent English. He is very experienced in all aspects of pet healthcare and specializes in orthopaedics. When you go to his clinic your pet will be treated by him as he is a sole proprietor.

    His website is here: http://chotanavet.com/

I hope your dog recovers cmsally and receives the best treatment wherever you take her.

  6. I send small parcels all the time and the price in the post office has always been the same as the Thai Post website indicates. I read people knocking the postal service here and I can't understand it as it is not my experience and I use them a lot.

Air mail delivery times depend on the country - average time is 2 - 3 weeks, but UK and Europe can be very quick - often 7 - 10 days. One of the slowest is US - Parcels can sit there for weeks before being processed and passed on to USPS.

In general I have found all the postal services to be excellent, especially Thai Post.

  7. I'm wanting to get a Retirement Extension from a Non-Immigrant B Visa through having 800k deposited for over 60 days.

The day before my UK Non-Immigrant B Visa expired (mid December) I did a border hop and got a 3 month Non-B entry stamp.

Am I right in assuming that I am still ok to apply for the retirement extension even though the original UK Non B Visa has expired?

    Thank you.

  8. Good attitude and nice story.

In the West it would have been a huge hassle - good to hear everything was done friendly and sorted quickly.

I had a similar experience when our bike was hit by a pickup. The police came and we loaded it on the vehicle that hit our bike.Drove to see our mechanic - he gave a verbal estimate and it was all agreed and sorted there and then.

  9. You have to build up trust with Paypal, particularly so when it's a Thai Paypal account.

Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank are good for PP,don't know about the others.

What I'm saying is contrary to what most people say,but it's my logic anyways.

I've always left a balance of 1 - 2 months money in my PP Account - it's a quality signal to PP. If you just empty it out every time a deposit goes in there then of course PP are going to watch your account closely.

Granted PP are supposed to be a bit of a nightmare when things go awry, but if you're serious about taking money online then PP is essential and you have to try to look after your account like you would a bar of gold!

Nurture it along and it'll be good for you long term.

  10. Perhaps the reasons why the ADA have not given the truth about mercury amalgam fillings is because it and 95% of its members would be sued out of existence if they do.

Removed amalgam fillings are classified as an Envirinmentall Hazardous Substance and require extreme caution and the use of specialist toxic waste contractors for disposal. Why would amalgams be hazardous outside the mouth, but not inside?

Amalgams as mentioned have been linked to Alzheimers and auto immune illnesses... oh and also read up on health problems linked to root canal fillings,

    Interesting video here:

  11. James,

Amalgam fillings should be removed following safety procedure protocols - be very careful and read up on it if you havn't done so already.

If a dentist only uses a mouth dam whilst removing them it is better than nothing, but nowhere near sufficient protection.

Huge amounts of mercury are released when these fillings are drilled and removed. There are protocols to safely remove them which protects yourself and the dentist.Agreed that the replacements are not brilliant either, but a lot better than mercury and if you go to an holistic dentist they use the safest materials and check compatibility with your body.

I can't find any dentist in Chiang Mai that removes amalgams safely,or really takes the issue seriously as most seem to be putting new amalgam fillings in peoples mouths.

Search holistic dentistry - Hal Huggins.

It's unbelievable that dentists have put mercury the second most toxic element in the world behind plutonium into our mouths next to our brains and told us it's safe because they've mixed it with a bit of silver!

Here's a place I found on my research with some info on the correct removal protocol (I'm thinking about going there myself to get mine done) - :

  12. This gets stranger the more I read.

We sent parcels yesterday from CM main Post Office - they were under 453gr,but when we asked about weight limit restrictions for parcels to US no-one had heard of this at all.

They checked for any instructions from Head Office and told us there wern't any.

Nothing about this on Thai Post website and they are still giving post estimates here for parcels to US over 453g.
