  1. Thanks for your responses. I'm the only director but there are two Thai shareholders. What I'm told is the land department needs to see a photocopy of a check from the buyer. They could tear it up and then a bank reissue it my name. But I'm told that's not very good practice and maybe risky. Looks like I might have to fly there open a bank account.
  2. Thank you... My accountant says I have to fly to Thailand and open it with many documents... Lawyer says the same. But I thought somebody might know of a way that I didn't have to travel..
  3. I have a Thai company opened now which is being closed. I am director. But I've never had a bank account in Thailand setup in the company name. Only have bank accounts in personal name. the check can only be issued in the company name. I have a power of attorney given to a lawyer. They would like to deposit a check to the company name.... I'm not in Thailand due to some health issues. Is there any way to open a bank account in the company name while being overseas? Or is the only way to fly to Thailand and Open the account there? Then deposit the check. Or can I open a bank account in the Thai company name in another country and get wire directions into it. Thanks for your help
  4. Dr Jack, Yes, have one in my name only. Can you outline the steps after arriving with the 45-day.? Trying to follow all the different threads. Thank you!
  5. Excellent! Thank you everyone for your input. I don't know how they expect you to figure all this out. I will be in Phuket. If anybody knows of an agent or somebody that can help make this process go a lot easier that would be welcomed. Thank you
  6. American over 50 applying for a retirement visa after arrival inThailand with 45 day on arrival Visa. Is it possible to get a retirement visa? Non-immigrant o for 12 months? Will I get another 45 days if I leave the country? I have been looking through the threads. I cannot find the answers. I appreciate any help. Thank you. I have tried from America to apply for the 90-day non-immigrant o and they rejected it because I don't have a Thai health insurance plan. They don't sell 3 months of insurance. Only one year and getting somebody to fill out that certificate form is impossible.
  7. My friend and I have separately applied for a 3-month non-immigrant o retirement visa. We are from the US . We have all the documents we've uploaded to the electronic system to the LA Los Angeles Thai representatives. We were rejected because our health insurance which we bought through square mouth / Berkshire Hathaway will not fill out the certificate form which we have been told after we paid our money to the embassy that we need. Any ideas on which insurance companies we can buy for 3 months insurance and they'll fill out the form.? I have looked in this forum as I'm new here but I can't find any posts. The embassy provided no possible insurance companies. So we're stuck and almost about ready to fly... Thank you in advance!
