Hi guys,
I know this may not be the best time for looking to buy a condo in Hua Hin, or Thailand for that matter, however, I am tempted.
However, I have been thinking of getting a place in Hua Hin center, not as a permanent living place, but as a place I go to every few months for a couple of weeks.
I am looking at a place at Baan Klang condo near the center of town. They are reasonably priced, and a decent size.
Anyone know about this place? Worth a look? Or, is it one to pass on?
TIA

I have lived in Saigon for over two years. All in All I like it.
I pay 700 USD a month for my apartment in District 4, just over the Bridge from the center.
Traffic can be chaos here, but I am beginning to enjoy the hustle and bustle of early morning rush hour. It's a different kind of riding.
Plenty of lemons here.
Overall, it is cheaper than Thailand, but f you want to have your western comforts, you do pay more than back home. There are a number of western style supermarkets like citimart, Annam Gourmet, and a few Lotte Marts (quite a decent size Korean community here)
Vietnam does offer diversity when it comes to weekend trips. For history go to Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue, Saigon etc.
For beaches, Mui Ne is decent. Nah Trang has overdeveloped, and is full of Chinese and Russians, so has become a very geared market. If you are into motorcycle trips, like me, there are loads of decent mountain, coastal roads, and country roads to discover.
However, in staying all that I still miss the 7 years I spent in Thailand. There is something about Thailand that Vietnam doesn't have. I think it is the 'Mai Pen Rai' attitude.
I may very well return to live in Thailand some day, just not today!

Hello,
I am a 37 year old male suffering from a receding hairline. I am in the market for a good hair transplant centre in Thailand.
The ones I have looked at are:
maple clinic in Bangkok
dht hair clinic Bangkok
Bangkok hair solutions, and,
Samitivej hospital.
Has anyone on here any experience of any of these. I think Bumromgrad also offers the service. Any other decent places?
Bangkok hair solutions are the cheapest.
thanks in advance,
Ari

I agree that Education is a relatively easy major. It was at my Uni.
Certainly wasn't when I applied in my country of birth.Courses in engineering, technology etc required less points to get into.
I guess that it depends on the number of applicants also. It is quite a popular course, especially for females.

Define 'coolest' ...
.
I guess what I am talking about is which country are the coolest (as in chilled out, happy, cool people from, and the country that people from that part of the world see as being cool) From my experience it's got to be the Irish, those that I have met in other countries and from visiting there a few times.
Silly topic, i know. just something I was wondering about earlier when my Thai friend asked me 'which country is the coolest and which has the coolest people in the British isles?'

Finding a job at a good international school in Thailand is not that easy. Schools like Patana, NISB, ISB, Harrow etc. have prestigious reputations on the international circuit. They are amongst the most in demand schools to work for (in the world). All of the above mentioned are deemed to be tier 1 schools and it doesn't matter in which country they are, they all look great on a resume. The country does not matter a bit.
You could say the same for a lot of other international schools in Thailand.
I wouldn't be too bothered about the location to be honest. It is the school that future employers will want to know about and what you did when you were there.

In the UK, we KS2 teachers generally have to make differentiated worksheets for each and every class. Well, that is what I (and the teachers I know) do.
The TES is a good place for resources as is The Primary Resources website.
Headway is a TEFL book, nothing to do with the NC curriculum of England.

I believe the clearance is considered valid if you have spent the last 6 months in the country. I've not known the authorities to be too pedantic about the police clearance yet. If you are from the UK, lived in the UK and the police clearance is reasonably current, it should be OK.
If there is a problem, you can go to the Thai police and they will get a new one.
If you have been in Thailand for 6 months, then you might want to get it from here.
What if I lived in Thailand previously. In my case 4 years ago, and I lived there for 3 years (on and off)
