Many thought the Epstein scandal would destroy Trump, few foresaw Trump using the Epstein scandal to destroy Trump.
Grandstanding the Epstein files in a political campaign.
Promising to release them as an election pledge of transparency.
The head of the DOJ stating on the primary news source for MAGA that the files ‘are sitting on my desk’.
Then announcing the files don’t exist.
Followed shortly by issuing a statement that the files (that don’t exist) were created by Obama and Clinton.
Wrapping up with ‘move on, there’s nothing to see here’
Followed almost immediately by constant whining about the Epstein files.
I can’t recall any President engaging in such unforced self harm.
That he finished his bizarre Epstein missive blaming Obama and Clinton with the entirely superfluous ‘Thank you for your attention to this matter’ was like the icing on the cake.
The Emperor has no clothes!
Rather like the teenage girls in the beauty pageant dressing rooms he "just happened to wander into"!
Let's face it, the fellow is an Ephebophile, who is very nervous that the extent of his enthusiasms is about to become revealed.
Put more crudely, he is a "nonce" who is <deleted>ting bricks 'cos he is about to be found out!

The Supreme Court will strike down the term "Probable Cause" and assert that the President has the authority to detain or arrest individuals based on the current (faux) "Emergency" in the U.S.
"Probable Cause", yet another legal precedent given away.
At which point expect a wave of arrests of opposition politicians journalists and media presenters.

Posting facts and science, rather than endorsing a serial liar - guilty as charged.
News flash - most of the world thinks Americans are morons.
Most of the rest have given up, convinced that America is content to abandon the rule of law, social justice and any pretence of democracy; handing power to the very wealthy.

Stop trying to squirm your way out of it. You claimed I said only Jew Israelis were subject to the draft in Israel. I never said that or anything like it. I have asked you over and over again to produce evidence and you never have.
I have given you the quote (several times now) in which you said just that, verbatim.
I can only conclude that you are now trolling.

Where did I post that "only Jews were conscripted into the IDF" You got a quote for that? Or for something that means that? You keep on making that claim but you offer no evidence. Typical lefty tactic.

Bernard Madoff happened to be Jewish. Was denouncing him an act of anti-Semitism?
This is getting <deleted> silly!

You offer insults but no proof.
Deep breath....
1. You posted that only Jews were conscripted into the IDF.
2. Subsequently you posted that Druze were conscripted into the IDF.
I pointed out that post #1 was contradicted by post #2.
There followed accusations of me being a "lefty liar" - anyone who knows me or has followed my posts will know that I am far from being a lefty - that is frankly a ludicrous suggestion, albeit perhaps subjective. As to being a liar, a specific objective accusation, not so; it is you who denied posting something that is there, on the record, in black and white!
Most people probably would, realising that they had made a mistake would admit it and things would move on. However you resort to abuse. Now, sticks and stones and so on, but these groundless accusations of being a liar, the implication that holding or expressing a different view is somehow inherently deceitful has become prevalent ( with you and several others) and I confess to being some what prickly about it; hence the (tongue in cheek) suggestion that you "lie like a cheap NAAFI watch". It does rather seem, for you that invective and abuse are a "one way street"!
Anyone who is interested can follow the exchange of posts, they are on the board, and can come to their own conclusions. I doubt many will, and I don't really blame them!
You can stop calling me a liar.

Quite a significant number of non Jews serve in the IDF. Some of their best infantry units are recruited from the Druze. Arab Christian and Muslim soldiers also serve alongside and integrated with Jewish soldiers. There are Arab and Druze officers, several have had distinguished careers.

These " mother & baby homes" were notorious for their cruelty and the suffering of the inhabitants. Indeed their very existence was a form of subjugation with which to threaten girls and women with.
The same places exist now in Saudi Arabia for the same purpose; to break the will of girls and women.
They were. Terrible places and terrible things were done. My brother was adopted, at least partly, to prevent him and his natural mother (my aunt) being sent off to one in 1958. They existed in England too, albeit less savage and cruel in the way they operated. The whole business was traumatic for my aunt, who emigrated shortly after to Canada, and for my brother when he was told what had happened, in his late teens. All concerned had been sworn to secrecy, that was lifted the day my grandmother died. Families! Perhaps in 1958, for a staunch Catholic family it was the best of available options?
I am not sure that they should be regarded as indicative of the social mores of the church 65 years on.

Wasn't this exhaustively covered in a TV documentary by RTE 10 or so years ago?

I must confess that I am surprised, given the regularity with which you make comments upon the government of The United Kingdom, and being as how you are a British citizen (albeit one who clearly hankers after the smack of firm government as delivered by the flabby paws of a foreign head of state), that your understanding of our constitution is so limited that you think that the King has any executive powers over our borders. Frankly I doubt whether he even owns a sharpie!

I hope not for much longer. Can't remember the last time a Canadian Prime Minister received this honour. Trudeau only had a state dinner hosted by Liz as part of a group. I guess the largest country outside the UK in her realm did not rate compared to the Yank felon. Time to vote on a republic it seems.
I don't want to be pedantic, (well actuallyI do), but Queen Elisabeth was Queen of Canada and King Charles is King of Canada. So for them to host a state visit - which means by definition a visit by the head of state of a foreign country means that they would be hosting themselves. Trudeau (and Carney) as their Prime Ministers are constitutionally far more important than and will have more frequent and meaningful consultations than those enjoyed (?) with Trump.
Of course the decision as to whether to vote for a President is one for the Canadian people - but they may wish to ponder on the malignant, fat, spray tanned orange presence looming over their southern border!

On my visit to Belsen they were still constructing the place to become a museum. I don't believe it. It's all a load of political tosh.
I too visited Belsen in the 70s. There was at the time no museum, just some display boards which explained, in several languages, what happened there. Perhaps you should have played attention? It was very clear. The Officer or NCO in charge of your party should have explained it. Hohne, Soltau and Fallingbostel Garrisons had policies that newly arrived soldiers were to be taken to the site of the camp. There was a briefing pack which was supposed to be used. I know, I conductedseveral such tours. The Dutch troops stationed in the area did similar, after all, many of the victims (Anne Frank) were Dutch.
Bergen Belsen was a holding camp, a "concentration camp", not an extermination camp, nor a labour camp. Very different to Auschwitz. As the borders of the Reich shrank, particularly in the east, prisoners were brought there and dumped. The huge numbers of deaths were from starvation, neglect and disease - notably typhus, together of course with wilful and deliberate neglect by the guards, several of whom were later hung after military trials at Luneberg for the savage part they played in the vile business.
Belsen was of course liberated by British Troops, it's liberation and the subsequent treatment and rehabilitation of it's prisoners is exceptionally well documented, filmed, written about and there is much eye witness testimony. I knew a girl whose father had been amongst the troops who found the place. 30 years on he was still having nightmares.
You may of course choose not to believe it, but it does not reflect well on you; after all, Holocaust Denial can result from political beliefs, as in the case of this Polish fellow, or wilful ignorance.

I refuse to put on winter tires because:
• It’s my car, my choice, my freedom.
• The effectiveness of winter tires is not proven, except by studies carried out by the manufacturers (like I’m supposed to trust them).
• My neighbor Bob had an accident even after putting on winter tires.
• Some drivers are already on their 3rd set of tires, which proves their ineffectiveness.
• We do not know what the tires are made of.
• The tire manufacturers scare us with winter just to enrich themselves.
• In fact, I read on the internet that the tire giants invented snow and spread it at night when you sleep.
• If I have winter tires, the government can track me in the snow.
I can't find winter tyres for my Yamaha Spark anywhere here in Thailand - most perplexing!

Perhaps we need to differentiate between "soft diplomacy" and "soggy diplomacy".
There is little if any public appetite for this visit, it was a pretty egregious example of our Prime Minister manipulating the monarchy to suit his own political purposes ( principally poll ratings I suspect).
Heaven knows what crass statements will emerge!
I wonder if he will get to chat about mutual friends with The Duke of York?
It really would be very funny if escorts to any carriage processions were to be provided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police!
